This guy is a nightmare to work with, so good luck. He's completely unreasonable and will soon be facing a number of formal complaints filed with the Agency.

I have been fighting for my benifits since 2008 i was in front of Judge Rivera three diffrent times and he denied me and then i came before Judge Palacios and to be very honest she was extreamly fair and finally after six years of fighting and appeals i finally got a judge who understands even though she did work for the appelte division she was still fair

Judge: III Volz

Judge Volz is strictly by the book. He is a good listener and a fair judge. I believe that if your paperwork is in order and a good lawyer you will prevail. To everybody that is posting on here just hope that you will end up with a judge that will listen and not one that doesn't care what you say or what kind of proof you may have.

Of all the Metairie and New Orleans - based (not visiting) hearing judges I've been in front of over the years, she is the most professional. Many (perhaps even most) of the others encountered unfortunately seem to enjoy being discourteous, to claimants and representatives alike.

This judge is HORRIBLE!!!! She definitely likes to hear herself talk! She is biased, unfair and downright disrespectful! She barely lets council speak and when they do she cuts them off. She does not develop the file properly with CE exams, etc. She seems to be looking for a reason to deny! BEWARE!

How can she turn down people who have given all for their country and only ask for what they have earned in forty years of working, even though she, her husband or any of her childern have only taken from my country. She shouldn'nt be allowed to judge a dog show.

My clients were in El Paso ODAR and ALJ did hearings via video. I had heard horror stories about bad tempers of some LA ALJs, so I was pretty nervous, but I was pleasantly surprised. ALJ Wiedemann is very friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. She really goes out of her way to put nervous claimants and attys at ease, and I have no doubt that she will render a fair, expeditious decision in my clients' cases.

If you are a natural born white or black american and find out your judge is benita lobo cancel and request another judge it will delay your disablity but it is better to delay it than to be denied which will happen if she is your judge. The woman has no cooomon since.

Judge: Darren Hamner

I was apprehensive and feeling defeated when I walked into the courtroom. Judge Hamner had declined me on my first hearing and the Board of Reviews sent me back on a remand for a second hearing. This second hearing was in the middle of the afternoon and the closed-circuit medical specialist had been heavily batting against me. I had 400+ pages of medical documentation to support my medical maladies. I was certainly disabled. Judge Hamner with his quiet demeanor listened patiently and at last he said he had heard enough and gave me a favorable decision. God bless you Judge Hamner! I have been vindicated. I grasped my walker and stumbled out. Thank you Fort Worth Tarrant County for recognizing the unmistakable dignified quality demonstrated by Mr.Hamner, and allowing him to bring forth justice to those who deserve it.

Exceptional Judge!!!!! He showed me what a real judge is. Almost like a dectective who would get his feet muddy out in the sticks to find the truth and make sure justic is served. He should be more than a disability Judge. He is the man to Protect children and the left behind citizens of this country. Keep up the good work. I second the first post Professional effecient and Friendly.

This is a very good Judge because he (1) acts professional, (2) appears to care about the claimants, (3) will entertain attorney discussion about the case, and (4) uses common sense to decide cases. I wish all Judges were as fair as he is. This is not to say he approves alot, because he is 50-50. However, you will not lsoe if you have a good case, even if you have one or two shortcomings in the evidence, as long as it is a legitimate claim.

Judge: Christopher H Juge

Extremely professional. Very sensitive to ensuring a full and fair hearing. Can definitely emphasize with clients. Work history reflecting strong work motivation is a major factor in credibility determination, particularly with younger individuals. Is not fond of illegal drug use/abuse. Make sure you know your case very well (e.g. exhibit and page numbers). If your client's testimony is not true, you will lose. Do not B.S. this Judge, as he is very intelligent and will call you out on it and you will not feel too professional.

Very professional. Wish more of the ALJs I see when representing clients were like her--businesslike, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly in a professional way. She made sure the client knew what was going on, made him the focal point of the whole process. Whether she rules in our favor or not, I believe her decision will be honest and that she made certain to get all the information necessary during the hearing.

This judge presided over my hearing. At all times, he was very proper and professional and showed a deep knowledge of the law. He corrected the vocational expert in his testimony and that led to an allowance in my case. People that bad mouth him are very unfair and very ignorant.

My hearing lasted almost an hour and a half in front of this judge. My attorney presented medical evidence from my medical records proving I was diagnosed with PTSD and Bipolar disorder. The vocational expert testified that I could get a job but not maintain it. After waiting 2 months he is requested a supplemental hearing and is now ordering that a medical expert be present and another vocation expert! It's already proven that I am disabled according to SSA guidelines yet he is still requesting another hearing when nothing has changed.

This is an ALJ who worked for the appeals council and you can tell in her decisions which are fairly negative. She may make sure to ask for very specific evidence to justify her denial. Most claims she has no intention of paying. She will probably write better decisions than most ALJ's since she is from the AC and is used to making up reasons to deny Claimant's appeals. I think she is fairly negative.
