I think Judge Maley was excellent. Even though my final decision has not been finished she was very understanding and pleasant. I know that she is thorough and makes her decisions wisely. My hearing was in Feb. and I have heard she made her decision sent it to ODR and was not pleased with there decision so she sent it back to be changed. I have faith that she will come to the right decision on my case.

Judge Timothy C. Pace: I had my hearing in November of 2013, and like so many people its a very long journey just to get to this court date. My disability and filing started in 2009 and there was some mistakes made within the SSD that put me way behind for me getting my trail date. After, a second filing in early 2012 and now with an attorney I got my date set in the middle of November. I advise anyone who is thinking about getting a attorney, Make sure they are local and NOT a national firm with lawyers scattered all over the country. I spoke to my attorney over the phone 3 times, twice within days of my hiring and never met him until I walked into the court room. My biggest mistake in my life. I did 99% percent of the talking and the lawyer made mistake right from the start, so I took control quickly and finished up the hiring. I even request that his fees be lowered if I won, right there at the time of the meeting. This action was granted by Judge Pace. Why did I gave Judge Pace a FIVE STAR review? Its simple and its based on two things and nothing more. 1) I had to deliver over 500 pages of medical records to the court before my court date because of my attorneys law firms poor handling of my case. So, I had a few calls and face to face meeting with the office staff. The staff was super helpful and truly cared about me as a person and my case. So, the staff shares in this review and the 5 stars. 2) Judge Timothy C. Pace got his five star rating for simply listening to my store. He just listened and you could tell he cared about my journey to disability status. Again, he listened and in the end that's all you can ask of any person: Judge, Doctor, Husband/Wife or partner. I walked out of the hearing knowing that I had my day and what ever happens next happens good or bad. But, I know in my heart and mind that I was heard!

Had a video hearing with this Judge. Her proceedings ran identical to the one described on 10/1/12. She was friendly throughout the whole proceeding and when she questioned the Claimant she did not get confrontational. Not sure of our outcome, but it was a smooth, pleasant process for all. There are FAR worse judges to be before.

This judge is HORRIBLE!!!! She definitely likes to hear herself talk! She is biased, unfair and downright disrespectful! She barely lets council speak and when they do she cuts them off. She does not develop the file properly with CE exams, etc. She seems to be looking for a reason to deny! BEWARE!

The judge Robert W Young was NOT fair to me in my case. He did not want me to go into details as to why I can't work. I have '' SCIATICA''. Sciatica - Topic Overview What is sciatica? Sciatica is pain, tingling, or numbness produced by an irritation of the nerve roots that lead to the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is formed by the nerve roots coming out of the spinal cord into the lower back. It goes down through the buttock, then its branches extend down the back of the leg to the ankle and foot. What causes sciatica? The most common cause of sciatica is a bulging or ruptured disc (herniated disc) in the spine pressing against the nerve roots that lead to the sciatic nerve. But sciatica also can be a symptom of other conditions that affect the spine, such as narrowing of the spinal canal (spinal stenosis), bone spurs (small, bony growths that form along joints) caused by arthritis, or nerve root compression (pinched nerve) caused by injury. In rare cases, sciatica can also be caused by conditions that do not involve the spine, such as tumors or pregnancy. What are the symptoms? Symptoms of sciatica include pain that begins in your back or buttock and moves down your leg and may move into your foot. Weakness, tingling, or numbness in the leg may also occur. Sitting, standing for a long time, and movements that cause the spine to flex (such as knee-to-chest exercises) may make symptoms worse. Walking, lying down, and movements that extend the spine (such as press-ups) may relieve symptoms. How is sciatica diagnosed? Sciatica is diagnosed with a medical history and physical exam. Your doctor will ask you questions about your symptoms. And your doctor may be able to tell just by asking you these questions that you have sciatica. But X-rays and tests such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are sometimes done to help find the cause of the sciatica. How is it treated? In many cases, sciatica will improve and go away with time. Initial treatment usually focuses on medicines and exercises to relieve pain. You can help relieve pain by: Avoiding sitting (unless it is more comfortable than standing). Alternating lying down with short walks. Increase your walking distance as you are able to without pain. Taking acetaminophen (Tylenol) or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen (Aleve). Using a heating pad on a low or medium setting for 15 to 20 minutes every 2 or 3 hours. Try a warm shower in place of one session with the heating pad. You can also buy single-use heat wraps that last up to 8 hours. You can also try an ice pack for 10 to 15 minutes every 2 to 3 hours. There is not strong evidence that either heat or ice will help, but you can try them to see if they help you. Additional treatment for sciatica depends on what is causing the nerve irritation. If your symptoms do not improve, your doctor may suggest physical therapy, injections of medicines such as steroids, stronger medicines such as muscles relaxants or opioids, or even surgery for severe cases. He and other who were in the court room believe I can work. CASHIER,TICKET-TAKER,PRICE/MAKER light exertions. I cried so much when I was turned down. I use to able to work move at a fast past. I hope to my Lord,God he never experiences what others and I are going through. GOD is the JUDGE OF JUDGES. He has the last word and I will NOT give up !!!

ALJ Maley is fabulous!!! She produces well above the average number of decisions, holds thorough hearings, issues well-written decisions, and has very few remands. She is also great fun as a colleague and coworker. She is very serious about her work but has a lovely, bubbly personality and a great sense of humor. Despite the relatively recent tragedy in her life, she remains upbeat and positive. I admire her greatly.

ALJ only presented one hypo to the VE and that was the State Agency "Light" RFC, despite fact my client had already had 2 back surgeries and is scheduled for a fusion next month.

He knows the law! He goes through very detailed questions with the Claimant and tries to make sure they understand everything. He's also good about questioning the vocational experts on their sources of information. His decisions clearly explain what he used to come to that decision, and he explains how much a claimant would really be expected to work. Claimants might not necessarily think he's a sweet, kind, and caring person, but they can be assured that he really considers the evidence and is trying to come to the right decision.

I've been in front of MANY ALJs that were MUCH worse than Judge Miranda. She can get tempramental at times, but for the most part she is very reasonable. She asks the rep if they want to give an opening, then asks the claimant about PRW, asks the VE to be ready to categorize the work when the time comes, asks the rep to go ahead with questioning, she will follow up with questions, will ask if the rep has any other follow up questions, then goes to the VE. She is very hard to read, though. She presents a hypo that results in jobs, then 3 or 4 that result in no jobs, so it's hard to know if she's thinking of paying or not except for the fact that she rarely pays! Very unfavorable.

I can't in my right mind even call this guy a judge. It was obvious that he did not read all the facts of my disabilities. I had M.R.I.'s to prove my neck and back disc degeneration. Also my doctors form stating i have bipolar disorder and i take 300 mg of seroquel. This medicine causes me to have a zombie like effect when i am awake. It also causes me to sleep from 12 to 16 hours. How am i supposed to go to work when i can barly get out of bed. I also have had problems with arrhythmia and sleep apnea. I'm probably living on borrowed time but this judge did'nt give a crap. I used and attorney and was told they would'nt have taken my case if they could'nt win it. This judge should be fired because he abused his discretion and position.

Judge Miranda is probably one of the worst ALJs I have been in front of. If there is any errors in your file she will blame you and call you out on it in front of your client. She claims that Social Security never makes any mistakes and that evidence placed in your exhibit file had to be put there by you. She will tell you that Social Security has no plausible way to make a mistake about exhibiting your file. What a crock of total BS. She is hateful, rude, and lacks any sort of judicial tact. How she got on the bench is beyond me. She should be removed.

Please pass this on to the judge: To: Administrative Law Judge, Charles Stark From: Irene Michele Heigh Your Honor Sir, This note is being sent to you this day, July 25, 2012, because back in Feb. 2008, I was standing before you for an altogether different matter, yet you bought up the fact that I had experience some difficulties with my then neighbor. You asked how I was getting along currently with my neighbors. I answered that I was fine and there were no real problems with my neighbors. Well Sir, that same evening my neighbor who lives in the same house that the neighbor who used to harass me lived in began similar behavior. She was upset because of a parking space. The law settled that and suffice it to say from that day until today we never spoke directly to one another. Today, she finally trimmed a bush that grows over her fence into my yard. I asked her politely to clean up the debris left in my yard. She got loud and drew the attention of other neighbors by using profanity to tell me she wasn’t going to do it and that I should stop “looking in her face. You know I don’t like you. I’m sick of you looking in my face everyday! Don’t say a thing to me. I’m not cleaning up s... You always in my face, you keep your face up my a.., You come make me pick it up!” My response: ‘I asked you politely to pick up your…(interrupted) You can’t control what I do with my eyes, You wish you had my face up your…(interrupted) Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.” Your Honor Sir I’m sending this account to you, because I’m not sure what I should do now that this is recurring.
