My hearing was on September 16, 2016. I don't feel my hearing went well. I probably will get a denial letter. Judge Ginsberg is a very good judge. I did not not have good representation. The hearing started late because he was in another hearing. He didn't spend much time preparing me for the hearing. I was extremely anxious and wasn't able to answer questions. She is professional and I could tell she works hard to understand your case to make a decision within the laws of ssdi. Be prepared with your case.

Although a decision has not yet been made on my case, overall this judge, although formal & polite, appeared to be very biased against me in regards to some of the questions that she asked, and they manner in which she asked them. I was not treated with dignity or respect, especially whenever I would assert myself & attempt to elaborate upon my lifelong conditions & how they have impacted and limited me from being able to work any full-time job in the competitive marketplace. I came away from this experience feeling very disparaged, and disheartened. Claimants are already suffering from conditions which make life harder to bear. It does not help to be treated with such disregard & prejudice, not to mention the time which we have to wait, and the often demoralizing process that some claimants are put through. Also, a lot more weight seemed to be focused on the fact that my mere chronological age is under the age of 50, than on the facts of my case. Just as many 'younger' people find it difficult to find jobs which are seeking older applicants. It does not seem, from what I heard, that many of these people dealing with these cases truly understand what the market is really like out there, especially for people who struggle with handicaps & limitations. Their vocational specialists are also not required to cull stats about jobs that are available in a person's local area. They only must show the 'national' stats. Nevertheless, all of this is beside the point. My claim for benefits is based on the fact that I cannot maintain full-time employment due to my conditions-not just any type of work. I definitely felt that this fact was brushed over by this judge. All in all, she was formal, and polite, but also very biased & seemingly limited in her depth of understanding concerning my struggles and conditions. However, with that said, I have every intention of fighting this on the next appeals levels, should it be denied.

I feel the decision by the judge was unfair. My appearance seemed to aggravate her, knowing my looks have a lot be desired. Statements were made that gave me every reason to believe my IQ ranged somewhere around 60 because the VE basically called me a moron without saying it. She said I was only capable of doing the lowest form of work and quoted all those jobs available. When I spoke, I heard snickers, like they all thought I was a simpleton or cretin. My disease is the 6th leading killer in the world! I was denied with a very unfavorable conclusion. I understand why people commit suicide from the cold and quiet slaughter of human character made by these judges.

Judge Robinson is statistically the worst judge in WA. My original attorney quit when she found out who the hearing judge would be. All these lawyers play the odds. They have to win a certain percentage of cases and collect their maximum fee out of it to make it worth their while. My attorney, and others I’ve heard about, don’t see the odds in their favor in Judge Robinson’s court room so they quit the case. In my case one of the factors in my disability stems from a back condition called kyphosis. In exaggerated cases it’s what’s known as a hunchback. The condition causes me a lot of pain and mobility problems. The employment specialist at the hearing decided I could work as an industrial cleaner and Judge Robinson bought that statement hook line and sinker. Seriously? An industrial cleaner? Do these idiots have any idea what that job entails? It's usually a hard physical labor job. Maybe Judge Robinson would have better stats if she weren’t an idiot.

I went before this judge today and she seemed to be a very nice woman. I can only just pray that she sees the truth and rules in my favor. I am a broken man from head to toe and I can only hope the system works the way it's supposed to. After all these years I've been working full-time so hard on my body since my early teens. I Won't Give Up if she rules against me I will appeal and continue this fight. It's been a long few years and I hope this social security legal stuff that weighs so heavy on me goes away and I can focus on my deteariating health. Im always in pain. Everyone, please say a prayer for me I need it. Thank you

Judge Ginsberg's office (legal assistants) have been very courteous and much more helpful than the offices in St. Louis, MO where they continually said they never received my medical records verifying that I indeed have Lupus, accelerated degeneration of most joints including spine, severe or anaphylactic shock reactions to medications needed for treatments, and other records. Judge Ginsberg's office has kept up with all of my records thus far and has answered my questions fully.

I dont think this judge was fair. He didnt take into account anything my treating doctors had to say, only to give all weight with a state examiner that had either never met me, or briefly met me. My life has been so negatively affected by this decision, and appeals take over a year. It isnt fair that he could take this decision so lightly when my entire life depends on it, and when legal errors are made,it will take over a year to fix it. Maybe he would be a little more compassionate if his pay was suspended for an entire year every time he made a mistake in someones case. Just because it will eventually be paid if approved doesnt mean its ok to make someone suffer for a year like I am suffering now. Not knowing if your going to have a place to live is a horrifying feeling, and being absolutely helpless to the situation is even worse.

I was very surprised and somewhat offended that the judge went on the record to ask me about my experience representing claimants. What if this had been my very first hearing, would that have made him biased? The judge was very pleasant and very fair. I have a significant amount of experience, but what about new reps? It was the first time I had encountered this, and it wasn't pleasant, but the judge was very nice.

The VA would not submit the letter that would have granted me my disability, stating that it was a 'conflict of interest'. Only after I had a meeting with the VAMC administrator did they send the letter to this judge. There was no regulation or conflict of interest that prevented them from sending the letter. However, the judge made his decision 5 days prior to the release of this letter. Thanks VA! Now I lose my house, my car, and my child will be homeless while in her senior year of high school. She is an AP honors student and will be homeless. I worked for 35 years. Served my country. SSA's own doctor said I was disabled, the vocational expert said there were no jobs in the economy for me, yet the VA and this judge made a horrible decision. Time for the media and the VA OIG to get involved.

On January 15, 2014 I had a hearing with this woman. First thing out of her mouth was " I see you are a dog breeder". I am going to make a long story short. I had gone in front of Judge Adams who brought it up because of an old face book page (had one litter). He denied me, and we refiled a new claim that was not suppose to be used, but she used it anyway. So when those words came out of her mouth, my Attorney's jaw dropped. So we finished up with the vocational woman saying that I could be a waitress. ( 10 lb weight limit, can't walk more that 10 minutes without a lot of pain). Then again back to the old case, and she said that I was 49 when I started this process, I am going to be 55 this year. She did this on purpose. My attorney filed for an appeal which should be coming up soon. He said that she committed reversible error by going outside the period at issueand cites testimony and documentary evidence from the previous decision to buttress the current decision, completing ignoring black letter law of res judicata and thereby committing reversible error. This is just a couple of things that happened, there is about 6 in total that she messed up. I have stated nothing but the truth in this statement, and have records to prove it. I see people on judge judy all the time on SSDI and they get it for the stupidest things! I have many issues and it's just not right.

Judge Kearney was a very level headed and completely professional person. He made me feel at ease with all the questions he asked while asking me directly the questions instead of asking my attorney. He made me feel as though I was in the process so he could make the best possible decision. He was a very fair man and who completely explained and introduced everyone who was in the court proceedings. It went very smoothly and I felt he understood what I have been going through. He is a very honest and fair man. Thank you for your time and professionalism.

I only just had my hearing for ssd this morning but I have to say that regardless of the outcome, I found Judge Kearney to be a very pleasant and likeable man. He made me feel very comfortable and at ease throughout my hearing. If I was given the choice of judges I wouldn't think twice in choosing Judge Kearney.

Judge: Yelanda Collins

I didn't think it was possible to feel more depressed, anxious, sad, panicked, and sick. Thank you for proving me wrong Ms. Collins. I was a tax-paying citizen for 16 years before becoming ill. I told Ms. Collins of my plan of action to get well in the not-to-distant future. I told the truth as nervous as I was. What I received in return was an unfavorable decision in which 2 things were stated that I never said (and I am sure I didn't say them because they are just plain untrue) and most of what I did say was omitted or ignored. This has been such a heavy, dejecting process. I am sad, but I am also so angry that this woman who knows nothing about me (and has the facts wrong about what she thinks she does know) gets to decide if I am sick enough to use the Social Security that I have paid into my whole life for what it is intended for. I understand that many do take advantage of the system. I told the truth and had all my ducks in a row. So, why am I sitting here worrying about how I am going to tell my kids that we have to move our of the only home they have ever lived in?

Judge: Robert C King

Judge Robert C King is one of the worst judges in all of the entire United States of America. let alone "Akron, OH". He is very rude and very uncompassionate to peoples conditions. I know his job is to Deny, Deny, Deny as much as humanly possible and his record shows that. His demeanor is he is sick and tired of hearing people basicly whine and complain, but you are there for that reason to just get your point/disease across. But that is "His Job"! He needs to retire and let someone else move up in that office who can give a Fresh perspective on cases. My opinion only. Thank You for your time.

WE have people out here that get SSD and work full time and only have fibromyalgia n depression. I go to work fighting my pain with my back swelling back and hips and legs. I have gone to doctors after doctors and they can not find what the cause is, while that I fight to work to keep a roof over my head 21 hours a week. I go to school to keep my mind going and fight sitting and standing. This lawyer denied me for that. But orhter people get it for easy things. this is a shame people fighting for the pain they can not tolerate. I will fight more. it is that days i dont even want to be here because of the pain.

I don't understand how come it takes so long to make decisions on cases. I fight my pain everyday, wake up every day n go to sleep in pain. There are times after working i want to go the ER because i hurt so much. No medicine will help my pain Dr.s have tried everything. I work go to work n fight my pain just to keep a roof over my head. I go to school to keep my mind going n better myself and fight pain walking, sitting and standing. I have a feeling it will be denied and I'll have to start all over again. These doctors out here really don't want to help you if your on medicaid and it is a shame.

I was not happy with my client's outcome but he provided an interesting hearing, lots of questions on esoteric matters. I thought a real jurist but sometimes a little odd. Late note:I just got a response to my post hearing memo and he reversed himself. He communicated with me by email and said he was impressed with my memo and reconsidered, giving the benefit of the doubt to the claimant. Go figure.

I note that Judge Marks numbers for 2010 were only for 10 months as he retired at the end of October. On that basis his numbers don't look too good for claimants but if you look at his numbers in Cleveland where was the HOCALJ, his favorables were significantly higher.
