Judge: Bruce MacDougall
I had Judge MacDougall for my hearing I thought he was a total gentleman. I was surprised of his results. His Notice of Decision was Unfavorable. It is unfortunate because I honestly am disabled based on the criteria stated on the social security disability website. I know the government has no money but It seems to me that the government has money for when they need it.
I still give this Judge 5 stars because of the way he treated me at the hearing. That goes a long way in my eyes in regards to the respect that people in authority give to people such as Judge: Bruce MacDougall gave to me.
In conclusion, in my opinion his decision was possibly made because of pressure he may get from his superiors. I also feel that it was probably really based on my age (under 50) not on all of the evidence that was provided.
Unknown if I should appeal.
I have found Judge MacDougall to be fair and objective and to hold hearings where the claimant was treated with great respect and compassion. That is not to say he gives away the store, he doesn’t but in the my opinion and that of others in my office he ususally gets it right- win or lose.
I don’t understand the comment above dated 7-27-12. Probably an unhappy claimant.
Judge MacDougall is always fully conversant with the file at these hearings, and knows what’s in each report. He is am impressive man in my opinion.
Judge Bruce dont care about narrative reports, mri`s, xrays. He will say you can drive to your doctors and walk, so there for your doctor word has little creite and there for the state dr record wind you can work .Find a state dr that say you cant work, wont happen.
