Unless Judge Harper has reinvented herself, the last poster’s favorable endorsement is hard to believe. She’s well known for conducting short-shrift hearings. How many “tough questions” can a judge ask inside of 15 minutes?
I’ve always found Judge Harper to be very nice and quite reasonable. She asks the tough questions, but it’s because she’s actually taken the time to read all of the medical records. I like her.
LOL. If the stakes weren’t so high for our clients she would be comical. She is Delores Umbridge from the Harry Potter series
Catherine harper is evil my condition kekeeps me from working.if I could I would but I have no choice and she denied me. I hope something be done about the way she is handling these cases .catherine I hope you never have to come in contact with a person that is evil like you
The SSA promises claimants a non-adversarial hearing. Webster defines that as friendly, hospitable, nonantagonistic, nonhostile, sympathetic. Judge Harper has no concept of what that means. The best judges are the ones who have learned how to deny cases that need to be denied who still hold truely non-adversarial hearings.
she denied my husband. he is blind in one eye from diabetes.he can hardly walk on his left foot from surgery. he sleeps alot from the medication. he has worked all his life and was at his last job 25 years. She treated him as if he never worked and was just someone wanting a check. although i wasn’t in the courtroom i could hear her outside. she seems very rude and loud. she didn’t want to listen to him talk or explain anything. i hope she never becomes disabled. if she does it would probably be from not being able to sleep at night.
I found Judge Harper to be very thorough and fair. She afforded me all the time we needed to discuss my case.
I agree with all the above comments, I went before her via video conference and she was very rude. She acted as though I was lying to her about my medical and mental conditions. When I received my denial letter its like she took everything I said and twisted it. I really don’t believe that she read any of my medical or mental records. She also stated after VE testimony that I can’t go back doing my previous jobs but I can do other jobs which would very much be a strain on me because of my medical condition. How crazy is that? She really need to be removed from the bench because she does not have any sympathy for others I really hate it if she ever becomes disabled and faced with the same problem.
Catherine harper is very rude. My social security is in the appeal process because she didnt take the time to acknowledge my disabilities.
Very negative ALJ. She is rude to the Claimant’s and their representation. Even in the rare times she decides to pay the case she still shows her true colors by her horrible attitude.
