Judge Cindy Martin, seemed to be fair. In fact my attorney stated that he felt very good about the upcoming decision. However I got my decision letter today, and was denied. On one account she based it on the fact that my pain maybe exacerbated because I’m over weight. That’s fair enough however she ignored the fact that prior to getting hit by a semi truck and being not able to move for over a year I wasn’t. Of course you gain weight if you can’t move. She also stated that my age 42, allowed for me to be retrained? Retrained at what? Who’s going to retrain a 42 year old who was a case manager but now can’t lift anything heavier than a can of soup? Well 42 year olds get hit by trucks too. I don’t see how people can get approved who have no real disabilities, but those of us who do can’t, even when hit by a semi truck. This has been a real eye opener.

Judge Martin over saw my case. She is a very passionate judge and makes sure to take every little detail into consideration. Even though it is too early for a decision I am very confident she will make the correct decision based on evidence and the laws she has to abide by.
