Judge David Welch presided over my disability hearing 6/2016. He is such a pleasant man, very fair and hardworking.
Very pleasant man. Runs the hearing in a relaxed manner. Respectful to all. Seems genuinely concerned about the claimant. Very fair in his rulings.
VERY KIND AND CARING AND WS PATIENT WITH ME AS I ANSWERED QUESTIONS AND WAS 100% HONEST TO HIM TO WHICH HE SEEMED PLEASED WITH THANK YOU FOR SEEING MY DISABILITY FOR WHAT IT IS A DISABILITY YOU WERE AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had my court date January 22nd. Judge Welch was very patient and listened patiently and gave me plenty of time as I was confused as to some of the opinions/comments of the Dr. they used to review my file. I did have to put my case on hold for an additional test which was received by the ODAR on Feb 25th but the case is still on hold waiting for the judges decision. I’m just wondering how long it generally takes as it has been several weeks. My attorney’s office hasn’t returned calls throughout the process and still isn’t so I’m worried the file didn’t make its way back to the judge. Not unlike many I’m sure, I’m very close to being homeless and I am very worried and not sure if there is something else I should be doing. If anyone has had a similar experience any words of wisdom or advise regarding your own case would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
