Judge Grit is by far a biased judge that is true. I know lawyers that have gone before her
With there clients . she is not a nice judge. She gives more weight to the social security doctors than
The doctors of the ones going for disability.

I went into my hearing extremely apprehensive after reading the reviews on here; but after actually having the pleasure to speak with and have my hearing hosted by Her Honor, I must say that I feel these comments are extremely unfair indeed, and do not at all represent the true nature of ALJ Grit.

Personally, I found Her Honor to be friendly, Down-to-Earth, compassionate, patient, respectful and, most of all – HUMBLE – a character trait unfortunately not always seen in the law world or displayed by judges (and I should know, I have a judge in my family, and this was my SECOND ALJ hearing!)

Thank you, Donna, for taking the time to do what so many before you failed to – develop and really HEAR the record – my record! It’s been a long, hard 5 years – but you made it all worth it!

I eagerly await your decision in the mail!

Extremely poor disposition during the hearing. Hostile and ambivalent toward your clients. I would avoid this judge at all costs. In fact, I will never ever appear in front of her again.

GRIT IS by far the worst judge you can get. She does not follow the Social Security Disability laws that are set in place. She plays by her own rules which results in the majority of her cases being denied. For a judge that makes almost $ 200,000 a year. Compared to those in need of Social Security Disability is sad. I truly believe that this judge has no feelings of those in need.

For a judge that makes almost $200,000 a year compared to those that are seeking disability is a far cry in want they would receive. This judge I truly has no feelings for those that are truly in need of social security disability.

This ALJ has got to be one of the most biased I have ever seen. I have been fighting this battle for over 9 years. I just won a reverse and a remand from District Court and Grit still denied me. How is it that the federal government can dismiss my student loan due to disabilities yet on the State level they don’t acknowledge your disabilities? How is it that my treating doctor for several years, the same one who filled out my government disability form, who just happens to be an investigative doctor for the good State of Michigan is not given weight?

I found Judge Grit to be kind and asked about my past jobs and what they entailed. She also asked my lawyer about an of work slip from my doctor when i first left work to work on my pain level as my work couldn’t allow my doctors conditions. I don’t know if this hurt my case at all. I really don’t know what to make of my hearing. I don’t have a good feeling at all and it bothers me because I am in so much pain every single day and the thought of someone not believing me is hard to swallow. My actions are limited and my daughter does all of my housework except for a few times when I have had to and the pain is horrific. Hopefully the judge will see that I am a good person and award me my SSI as I can not work even if I don’t get it.
