Please check on this settlement
On January
II, 2013, after lengthy negotiations between the Social Security Administra
tion
(“SSA”), the Department
of Justice, and class counsel for plaintiffs, Gibson Dunn & Crutch-
er LLP
(“Gibson Dunn”) and the Urban Justice Center, the parties reached a proposed settlement
agreement. The settlement expressly denies wrongdoing on the part
of defendant Commissioner.
Under the terms
of the settlement, a class member whose claim for disability benefits was
denied or partially denied during the period from January I,
2008 through the date on which the
settlement agreement
is approved is entitled to a readjudication of his or her claim before an ALJ
other than a Named ALJ, with certain exceptions.
(See Settlement Agreement, D.E. # 112-1, at
2
III.A.l-2.) The class member must affirmatively request readjudication within sixty days after
receiving notice
of his or her right to the relief. (See id.; Notice A, D.E. # 112-2.)
My son has been denied for 7 years and 23 SSA doctors confirming disability. Still denied.
Crushed leg , spinal problems, and two strokes.
This Judge made almost the same statement ” He would see him dead before he releases any funds, or wait until his credits run out (??) ” He was over ruled and took a personal issue and went and stopped funding of SSI.
This man has real issues. The government needs to stop this guys.
I am 71 years old and pay all his medical bills.
THIS JUDGE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MY SON,S EARLY DEATH. HE DENIED DISABILITY THREE DIFFERENT HEARINGS SAYING HE DIDN’T QUALIFY FOR DISABILITY. HIS LAST HEARING WAS FEB. OF 2015 HIS SPEECH WAS ALREADY GOING (HE PASSED AWAY OF ALS) AT THAT HEARING THE JUDGE SAID MY SON HAD NOT SOUGHT MEDICAL CARE FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS WELL, THATS BECAUSE HE HAD NO MONEY OR MEDICAL COVERAGE NOT BECAUSE HE FELT GOOD. THIS JUDGE SHOULD BE DISBARRED AND I AM GOING TO TRY MY DARNDEST TO SEE HIM PAY FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE
This so-called judge loves to belittle people that come before him. Recently my wife had a disability hearing and about all he did was being up her previous marriage and children. You tell me what any of that has to do with getting disability? The rep my wife had also told her that he did the same thing to the very next client she was representing. Seems that the ONLY reason he is still ok the bench is his record of not approving anyone that comes in his court room.
Can I please ask the people who have commented here if they did the “in person” hearing or the “video” hearing? Does it make a difference with this judge?
Hey Gary why wont the Federal Government release the investigation into your bias and discriminating comments towards Navy Gulf War vets..What are you hidding???. I will find out ….. And show the state off texas how corrupt the system is……Everybody can read the article Just Google Judge Gary Suttles belittles gulf war vet….Thank You…. Ps I dont rate uneducated idiots like you….
Judge Suttles stated in court that ” he would see me dead before he approves any funds from my account” a quote on court records. He need to be run out of office.
I think it’s time to overhaul the ssi systems and get rid of these judges who think they know everything. When I know five different people who get ssi that are convicted felons , drug users makers and destroyers of their families and hard working honest people are turned down well WE HAVE a PROBLEM! When a person gets treated worst than a felon or drug addict(crack, coke) What’s this world coming to. Keep up the good job Judge Suttles, you have to retire some time. I will keep going and when I lay here suffering I will think of you.
they need to get this judge off the bench. He denies people that can not work, and has proven there case.I am one of them .
Judge Suttles denies everybody and I heard the he denied a lady the had cancer and a few months later she died. This is not right and I think that someone need to investigate him. I know there are rules and guidelines to follow, but if a person is disable why would you do that to them. He is using his authority to his advantage. He need to start denying some of these people for SSI that have not put money into the system instead of the ones that have put their money in the system.
