My client had a hearing 8 months ago and has yet to receive a response. Rodriguez has the worst denial statistics in the nation. I wrote our Congressmen and the SSA Commissioner’s office, also asked for a review of the case. If you have had problems with this “judge” please do the same. The only way to get him out of the office is to bring his despicable practices to everyone’s attention. Your congressmen are elected officials with power in Washington, don’t be afraid to use this. If you think you have a strong case ask for a Committee Review. If you want advice you may contact me at Jwoodhouse@edwardsdisabilitygroup.com.
I am currently dealing with this judge and I agree with every thing that was said I have been waiting over 60 days to get a decision and still nothing. I thought that before hearings the judges were suppose to go through the case file, but instead this judge asked questions that were already in the file and kept being repetitive.
Where did they find this Judge? It took him almost a year to reach a decision on a friend of mind case. He has 95 percent blockage behind his heart and cannot work. He has had several heart attacks and is unable to work. This judge waited an entire year before making his decision and he finds him not disabled.
What a joke and embarrassment this ALJ is. How he can continue to get away with paying so little cases is disgusting and yet the administration has no problem going after ALJ’s who they deem pay to much. Perhaps if everyone filed a complaint who appears before him someone will take notice but probably not.
Someone please investigate Judge Gilbert Rodriguez. Something is wrong when his approval rating is 10-12 times lower than the national average. Not to mention his cases take 6 months to a year to get a response.
This man has to be (currently) the worst ALJ in the nation and he is not particularly smart either. He never wants anyone to call a witness even though the hearing notice advises the disability claimant of the right to do so. He proceeds to ask nearly all irrelevant questions and often does not even listen to the responses given. He has an obvious agenda to deny everyone. He is an outlier who should be investigated.
My friend is due to see this judge soon and desperately needs to be on disability due to an enlarged heart condition that prevents him from doing almost anything around the house let alone work and he has to live somehow. if not on disability then he may end up homeless. what kind of man is this judge?
I agree totally. Had two remand with him and treating source RFC’s. (well supported by other Medicals) placing my 56 year old lady at less than sedentary. His one and only hypo to the VE was a Medium RFC……I think he should be removed from office
He does not deserve one single star. I don’t understand how one judge can approve 5% of disability hearings and is not being investigated whether or not he is being fair. There are lives who seriously need disability to see his statistics is completely disgusting.
