I fought for my benefits from 2009 to 2017, and it took that long to process past Judge Pleuss. (denied 3 times!)
Only got a new judge as Pleuss was ‘let go’ or “forced into retirement” … either way, as soon as he moved along, I was approved.
Thank goodness the judges with a hidden agenda are gone or on notice, and facts will be heard now.
This is what a SSI attorney told me, that Wisconsin fired there SS judges because they were not looking at all the medical evidence per case and denying a lot of them just to save the state of Wisconsin money and so the state would get good ratings. So now there is a average of 18 month waits to get a hearing because of the state judges available and are now using Illinois judges on the closed circuit TV.
