Judge J. Rolph is one of the kindest, respectful and fairestjudges one could hope for. Regardless of the outcome of your hearing, you can be assured he will treat you with kindness, dignity and respect.
I love love love this Judge he is polite, kind, understanding, not judgemental at all and very down to earth.definitely the kind of person I would want to go to his house for Christmas and spend time with his family seems like he’s a very well-rounded family-oriented type of man. All American and all and great personality. I enjoyed my interview with him although I do not know what his decision will inevitably be in my case so far he’s my favorite judge.
It’s true, the Honorable John W. Rolph is very polite, respectful and courteous. He denied my case, but I don’t blame him because he didn’t receive all my medical evidence in time. Out of 22 doctor’s, my Attorney left out 8 doctor’s, 3 of which were critical. I waited 3 years and now I have to appeal to the Appeals Council, which will take up to 2 years for them to give a decision. One specialist lied to SSA. Judge Roplh gave “light weight” to my Orthepedic Surgeon report. Judge Rolph didn’t know at the time of my Hearing that my Orthopedic Surgeon referred me to a Neurologist. This Neurologist stated that I needed neck surgery. This Neurologist referred me to another Neurologist. This 2nd Neurologist stated (after a nerve test) that my neck was causing shoulder, arm, and finger numbness. What I can’t comprehend is that I have emails to my Attorney regarding all the Dr’s left out of my Hearing. There’s a lot more to this devastating story.
Today my social security and disability taxes were taken out of my part time check. They took $97.51 out ,I started laughing. Because this piece of **** JUDGE JOHN ROLPH DENIED my disability claim. So why the **** are they taking taxes out ,it’s not like I can use it when I retire or if I’m disabled. I’ve been working since I was 18 years old and I have paid my taxes and can’t get a ****** thing out of it. I HOPE YOU *** A SLOW AND PAINFUL ***** judge John ROLPH. You ****** ******
I’m an attorney who only practices Social Security disability law, and who routinely appears before judges from seven different ODARs (Portland, Eugene, Tacoma, Seattle, Spokane, Boise and Las Vegas – a total of 67 ALJs), and on occasion at virtually every ODAR across the country. I have seen it all, from wack-job judges who are truly insane — pity anyone from Moreno Valley, CA or Billings, MT — to judges on some sort of an agenda to deny (or approve!) as many people as possible.
I can say without hesitation that Chief Judge Rolph is one of the most courteous, professional, thoughtful and genuinely compassionate judges that I have encountered. This is NOT the same thing as a high allowance rate. He only pays about 50/50, which means that he is denying a lot of cases who probably should be approved. However, I truly believe you get a fair shot with him. While he may not approve every claim, my experience is that he treats every claimant with respect as a human being. As bad as it is to have your claim denied, it is incredible how many judges insist on belittling people and treating them like crap. Judge Rolph never does this. The only time I have ever seen him lose patience, and even then it was slight, was when a claimant insisted on lying to him (and me) about current drug and alcohol use, was deceitful and very dishonest. Anyone who does that deserves a lot worse.
Bottom line: I would love to win every one of my cases, but I would be more than happy if every one of my clients were assigned to Judge Rolph.
