This is the worst judge I’ve ever met. He was rude, inconsiderate, condescending, and short with my attorney and I both. He was also rude to my witness. Even though my case was a dire needs case where I didn’t have any health insurance and was at risk for being homeless, he took the MAX amount of time to make a decision on my case. I am 100% disabled and have been for years yet my hearing took over two hours and he made me wait FOUR MONTHS for the decision. He put a false diagnosis in my decision but refused to put in legitimate diagnoses from reputable providers. My case was clear but he intentionally made me suffer because I was fighting for help. I can’t believe they let him continue to make decisions on people’s lives when he clearly doesn’t seem to understand or care.
Very unprofessional. Was very rude in his first phone call to my son who has Asperger’s and then decided to reschedule once he knew he was knee deep into a conversation that was not being understood. Would not talk with parents to get better understanding. Eventually denied my son though the occupational therapist gave his opinion that my son was not employable. Now at the Federal Level of appeal.
Judge Heller is a fair and compassionate ALJ. He listened attentively to me as I explained my case, and he carefully reviewed my medical history. Judge Heller allowed for an expedited decision- so instead of waiting for up to three months, he made a FULLY FAVORABLE decision in less than a week! I could never thank Judge Heller enough for what he has done for me. After years of battling illnesses, he seemed to be the one person who fully understood and empathized with my plight.
JUDGE HELLER ASK AND ANSWER QUESTIONS FOR MY CLIENT AND USED HIS PERSONAL THOUGHTS INSTEAD OF BEING PROFESSIONAL.
