She was very nice in polite when she said she was going to look over my medical records
Judge Abbondondelo was very nice. She let me speak and was patient throughout my hearing. I haven’t gotten my decision yet, but I feel like I’ve been blessed with the best judge that I could have been assigned to. It felt like talking to a concerned aunt 🙂
I agree with all the other comments regarding Judge Abbondondelo. I was informed that i will receive the results in the mail between 1 and 4 months from the date of my hearing. Prior to my hearing, when I was first notified of its date—-I spoke my rep—he said I had been appointed an excellent judge. When I explained to him that I was worrying about the hearing, and how my disability, etc, would be perceived, he told me that I was worrying needlessly. Judge Abbondondelo was courteous, efficient, and got to the heart of the matter at hand, without wasting any time. She was not rude, not abrupt with me, whatsoever. I was told by my rep to follow these rules of thumb-
1. Don’t lie
2. Don’t interrupt.
3. Don’t ramble, in other words, be concise, and answer the question asked of you by the judge, and at times, by my rep.
The hearing took just under 30 minutes. It was a video hearing. There was a problem with the audio, while the vocational expert was speaking, but the judge wasn’t fazed in the least……..she simply had the court stenographer call the vocational expert, whom they placed on speaker phone, several questions were asked of her, by Judge Abbondondelo, re my ability to work, and to hold various job positions. Then the hearing was concluded, and I was advised of the wait time. Everything was very cut and dried, and went very smoothly and actually moved along quickly.
Very nice and understanding
Best judge in Louisiana!
Judge Mary Abbondondelo is a compassionate person. She is fair and a nice lady all around. She listen to both my wife and I. Whether we get approved or not, I have to believe that Judge Mary Abbondondelo looked at all the evidence objectively.
