He was kind, compassionate, and understanding of the issues and challenges I experience with my disability. I was incredibly anxious about my hearing, but he managed the process extremely well. I highly recommend Judge Blanton.

All judges with a low approval rate (40% or below) should take tips/notes from this judge. He is nice, caring, and compassionate.

My hearing went before ALJ Blanton one week ago and I found him to be very kind. As I was getting settled, he even made a couple of witty jokes that helped me calm down and see him as a man instead of a prosecutor. It also seemed apparent the Judge Blanton reviewed my file ahead of time, based on the questions he asked me and what he asked the employment expert. Overall, my experience was good. ALJ Blanton showed everyone in the room kindness and respect. Most importantly, he demonstrated what and why the bailiff calls out, “The HONORABLE judge…”.

What a day, anxiety was high and emotional is an understatement. Mr. Blanton was truly understanding and gave me time to compose myself after the tears, anxiety and emotional outburst. He was very understanding and patient with me. I wait to hear my decision via mail but I felt he was very fair and had compassion.

He was very understanding and nice. Allowed me to enter the court room with my husband and got straight to the point so we were not in there for ever. Almost like he took his time reviewing the case file before hand and already had his decision made.

This is an excellent ALJ. I’m sure his denial rate will go up at some point a little but he will show compassion and treat everyone fairly.
