Great judge. Fair, understanding, helpful, sympathetic. With regard to the negative posts here, a) I’m glad he saw thru you if you’re a fraud, or B) if you are legit disabled, I wish you luck in your appeal.
Worse judge ever! He will not make eye contact with you because he does not care. He is a real threat to national security and should be remove a.s.a.p.
He is putting disable US citizens on the street homeless.
One of the worst judges in the Oakland ODAR, which means he’s still better than most judges nationwide. His personality is typically grumpy and he’ll push new reps before him very hard. If he notices a mistake, he’ll slam you for it. If he makes a mistake, he backs off very quickly with a little push. He will often treat claimants very skeptically and trip them up or be outright mean. That said, he’s not a dumb judge — more like an evil genius — and can see merit in a case if there’s treating support, good records, as well as credible explanations. After you’ve been before him a few times he apparently will start to warm up to you, but I haven’t seen that yet.
