THESE JUDGES BETTER THINK LONG AND HARD BEFORE CONTINUING TO DENY VALID MENTAL HEALTH CASES SO QUICKLY THESE DAYS. THERE’S AN UNPRECEDENTED NEW AMOUNT OF UNSTABLE INDIVIDUALS ON THE NEWS EVERY NIGHT, FOR DOING SOMETHING HORRENDOUS BECAUSE OF THEIR MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. MANY OF THEM WERE DENIED SSI. AS A CITIZEN WITH CHILDREN THIS WORRIES ME. WE AS A COMMUNITY NEED TO MAKE SURE PEOPLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESSES ARE PLACED ON SSI, TREATED PROPERLY, THEN EXAMINED PERIODICALLY.
The judge made a point from the onset of the hearing to ensure comfortable and open dialogue. He researched our situation and respected our intentions for the hearing. He gave us a list of items he wished to see before he would make a final decision. His willingness to hold off on making a final determination until all fact were reviewed, ensured that his final determination was accurate and fair.
He struck me as a very fair person when I spoke to him.
Does his research – hears each case with respect it deserves. Decent, high standard of care and practice. Deliberative and fair.
