I recently had a teleconference for my remand cases with Judge Adkins. He made me feel quite comfortable, win or not. This time around it was so much easier mentally. I appreciated his understanding and patience.
Although I’m not sure how he’s going to judge on my case, I found judge Adkins to be as pleasant as an A.L.J. probably can be. I was EXTREMELY nervous walking into the courtroom and even told him so. He told me just to relax, and said that I could move around freely. (I suffer from intense fibromyalgia pain, so I was really glad for this cause I was locked up in my hip that morning) He was very straightforward, and seemed genuinely interested in everything myself, my lawyer, and the vocational specialist had to say. I didn’t feel blown off or disregarded. All in all not a bad experience for one of the most stressful days of my life
