his is a repeat because for some reason it gave her a 5 star when I clearly had it marked as 1 star. =/
I had the displeasure of having Susan Giuffre for two different cases, one I dropped after seeing her once without a lawyer (withdrew due to lack of medical evidence) and the second time for reapplying. (which should be against the rules to see the same judge twice, not that disability follows any rules.) The first time she was pretty ok, but I only saw her to ask for more time to find a lawyer. The second time with a lawyer she was harsher. She didn’t want to listen to my lawyer. Thankfully my lawyer coached me before seeing her because she asked a lot of questions to try and trap me so she could automatically deny me. The doctor/expert they had on speaker phone eventually admitted that there was only a 10-12% chance of finding a job that could comply with the special needs I would have to have to work with my disability. She still denied me.
I know getting disability has been harder to get the last few years, but I find Cleveland ALJ to be ridiculous. The fact that the highest approval rate is 20% is a shame. I’m at the point where I’m going to the Federal Court. I’m not sure what the outcome will be but I’m disappointed in the system and the hoops you have to jump through to receive help.
