When Judge Jenkins heard my case, I was really scared and nervous. I honestly did not feel that it went well. I felt initially like she cut me off in mid-sentence a few times and that left me feeling as though she would not fully understand my limitations. She did approve my case. I am very grateful, as my condition has worsened. If you suffer with serious pain, you know that it’s difficult to think and concentrate on much because the pain literally zaps your brain. I don’t have much recollection of the hearing, except that I did not feel it went well (I’m on meds also that zap my brain). At any rate, she stated that she put a lot of weight on my medical records and doctors statements. So from this, I would say she is a fair judge. I came to this page before my case was heard.. because like most people I was anxious and nervous and wanted to get some idea of what to expect. I would say to you that if you do really have a case, and your medical records DO reflect your statements, then you will be fine.
Judge JENKINS was very kind and listens I have not recieved a decision yet my hearing was on the 29th of Aug. but my experience in her court room was really good I was comfortable and felt respected and well treated and listened too.

Judge Theresa R. Jenkins is discerning, she’s respectful and she’s fair…’nuff said.
Judge Jenkins was precise, thorough, diligent, and professonal. Judge Jenkins based her decision on medical opinon as well as her conclusion from facts she gathered from me.
This judge is totally unprofessional and sets her own rules. fails to consider “your” medical doctors testimony but gives all wait to SSA examiners. She claimed I claimed several impairments but no medical records to back those claims thus my testimony was not credible. This judge had MORE than enough medical records to prove disability otherwise. Regarding my mental health, she claimed no history of suicidal attempts or ideations, yet, in the record was 4 recent medical records I went to an er with suicidal ideations, I have cut my wrist, Go to a mental health facility whom conducted an evaluation for SSA and stated I was very much not able to hold a job due to conditions. I have ( prior to hearing ) over the past year, SENT THE SSA ODAR OFFICE suicidal letter letting them know, i would be killing myself ( luckily I did not – wouldnt want them to win) but records are ALL in the exhibits and evidence. A week prior to hearing, was in the hospital, 2 different surgeons stated I needed an important surgery but they refused to do the surgery because my health make me a high risk for major complication and a 50% chance of something going wrong! she FAILED to reference that. Even at the hearing, I asked her, “please review all the files in depth”, she promised me she would, said she takes her job seriously and will review all the medical records. BS – Prior to Hearing, SSA ODAR office sent me a cd with the exhibits that would be reviewed during hearing ( evidence ). The CD they sent me, had a complete strangers medical records on it. After the denial letter, I wrote that office in disgust being they had a complete strangers medical records in my evidence file and “if” they would have “thoroughly” reviewed my evidence, they would have seen the mistake..2 days after I told them about this, they sent 4 officers from Homeland Security to my house to retrieve that CD..They tried im sure, to sweep it under the rug, but I have also contacted all major news outlets about this.
Horrible experience with Judge Jenkins: Got my denial letter today and A SLEW of false information. additionally, there were SEVERAL medical records she failed to consider. any information , regarding my medical issues, she ignored. ONE MAJOR issue was this: I was hospitallized and told I needed surgery, yet 2 different hospital surgeons refused to do the surgery because of my poor health and the real possibility of something major going wrong. She didnt even consider this. again, their are A LOT of medical evidence/records she failed to review. Yet, the information provided by the SSA’s doctors ( of course in the governments favor), she referenced, my doctors testimony, she gave little or no weight!
Additionally, something troubling- her office sent me, a encrypted CD with all of the exhibits/evidence for my review. this is a CD you have to have a passcode to open. last evening, after I received the denial letter and within the denial letter, she referenced exhibits, I went to my CD, opened the documents to compare testimony and discovered around 24 pages of a medical file for some complete stranger..Not giving out the name, but it was a female who gave birth to a baby premature with a great deal of health issues. We have similar last names but a complete stranger. I have her medical history, account number, etc..I will be contacting my local news outlet about this. Im sure they will want to do a story regarding patients medical privacy. Im going to do my best and try and track down the patient in my file and let her know about this. Clearly A HIPPA violation. As well, it goes to show that the ALJ, judge Jenkins, certainly did not review my entire medical history, for if she had, she would have assuredly seen this inexcusable mishap .
I had a Phone interview w/Judge Jenkins, and she listened to what I and my friend had to say…..no matter the outcome of my case, I was very pleased w/Judge Jenkins.
I concur completely with the preceding 5-star opinion. Judge Jenkins is an exemplary judge.
Judge Jenkins is a warm, compassionate human being. She reads her files thoroughly and expects reps to be prepared. She is respectful and courteous to claimants and puts them at ease. She isn’t a soft touch by any means but she applies the law fairly and without favor. Gets 5 stars from me.
