I recently had my Hearing with ALJ Timothy Malloy, and he seemed respectful even kind. I was in so much pain I could hardly sit and had to walk out of the video to lean on a chair for relief while he spoke to my Attorney. I don’t remember much of what I said. However, I would have remembered if he was rude as I am easily brought to tears or irritated like I am bipolar.
I do recall the VOC said I could do 3 jobs. That is 3 jobs in the whole U.S., maybe it was 4, IDK. He could not see me (my pain), but I couldn’t make it 20 minutes sitting, how could I sit 8 hours without some strong narcotics that would render me incoherent or asleep. The shocking thing was that I was making. $60k, did he think SSD was a lifestyle change I wanted? From a purely monetary aspect it doesn’t even make sense, much less draining my 401k to nearly nothing. That doesn’t even address what is often my main medical issues, other pain, and other issues preventing repetitive hand movements.
I would have to say the VOC person was not listening to what was discussed. I am sure my Attorney went over my medical issues, and over 3,000 pgs of medical records in summary. I worked for almost a year after the accident until my employer , who accommodated my job description 3x, finally said please go. I was on so many narcotics and the pain was so bad I couldn’t focus any better then than I can now.
In summary, I found ALJ Timothy Malloy to be respectful, kind, and knowledgeable of my case, and his questions seemed appropriate. I do not recall thinking anything negative, only shocked at the VOC rep. I was pretty much incapacitated in pain and only recall things that stand out like contradictions. If you are on this website, you can likely relate.
Best wishes to all, and I hope that you can separate his decisions from him think of him being a “horrible person. ” I wouldnt want his job, many do fake, we’ve all known someone who might be. As prestigious as his job title is, He must have compassion to be in a job that is reveared worse than an IRS auditor, and still be doing it.
Had my hearing with Judge Malloy. He seemed to be fair, let me have my say and asked appropriate questions. He seemed pleasant enough and I felt ok when leaving the courtroom. Praying he saw that I was honest about my illnesses and inability to work. Will find out in a few months. As far as the hearing I felt he was very respectful.
Worst Judge!! Needs to be investigated! In the process of filing a complaint. Extremely discriminating. He had my case all figured out before trial, nothing but a waste of ones time. Acts as if your asking for welfare. Previous comments are correct. He acts as if the money is coming out of his pocket. Why work & pay into SS if you can’t even get it when your disabled and in need?
I am extremely worried now. I have Schizoeffective disorder, paranoia, depression, anxiety, and anger issues, and have been racking my brain all morning trying to figure out who my judge will be. I hope he’s in good spirits and is understanding of my case but going by what the other comments say I don’t have a very good chance. Hopefully I’ll be able to keep myself composed for the hearing and get approved.
Ive been Waiting FOR decisión sense August 13 NOTHING YET GOOD OR BAD
somebody needs to monitor this judge and Ogrady…now I understand if peole are faking and I have p worse…problems thats getting worse I know w
whoever he is I am going to get denied..this coming may…thos will be third time meeting with these evil judges
He had his mind made up before the hearing started. Very unprofessional and rude. He couldn’t even read or understand the facts that were in front of him. He thought my doctor and witness were lying. The hearing was over one hour late and acted like it was my fault. I was in the waiting room over an hour before the hearing time. I don’t know what his problem is but he surely has one. He acts like I was asking him for benefits out of his personal pocket. This denial was so unfair it bordered on ridiculous. He needs to be investigated. I don’t this SSA would go against their own no matter how wrong they are. A HORRIBLE JUDGE AND A HORRIBLE PERSON!!!!!!
Something is fishy about this Judge…
Wow, something is not right with this judge for these denial rates to be so extremely high. Probably needs to be investigated, I would think.
