I knew this man LONG Ago and he had no compassion then for people who needed help and support and I see he is still up to his old tricks. Good luck finding a better life with this guy around your case.

Judge Ritter is a stain and a disgrace to the Administration. A social security judge is supposed to be non-adversarial- but this judge will use anything, including falsehoods, to deny your claim. A larger medical record means more opportunity for him to cherry-pick boilerplate statements of limited relevance to assert normal function while a smaller medical record means that you must not be that bad off. Treating opinions mean nothing to him. Sworn testimony means nothing to him. Prescriptions for walkers or wheelchairs mean nothing to him. There is no winning with this judge and I suspect that even his low favorable percentage is artificially higher by means of granting partially favorables that still cut off years of deserved benefits.

I wish him wisdom as he decides my hearing. I feel he is an adjudicator sent by God though, and that he is acting in God’s steed and will approve me.

My lawyer said that as long as we don’t get Ritter, we should be fine. The 1st judge I had for the first 2 hearings was about 2% or so lower in approval rate – whom moved into WI for my 1st hearing – the very day that my case was heard and left after my 2nd hearing denial.. Just my luck. THEN, for the 3rd remand I hear we’re getting Ritter. I KNEW that was going to happen because that’s just my luck – period. However I heard that Ritter was much nicer than the 1st guy, so that at least made me feel slightly better – as the 1st guy was an absolutely wretched human being. When judges get that jaded and crabby and try to find every possible goofy thing to deny a case, they simply should NOT be allowed to hear cases anymore. So I was still surprised that Ritter did actually seem more reasonable than the 1st guy. To my sheer utter disbelief and astonishment, I got a fully favorable decision in record time – even more amazing, due to an invisible disability. But I don’t know if that was because the appeals council decimated absolutely EVERYthing that Judge King Crabby had in his first two ridiculous decisions.

Still, overall, when there is so much disparity between the judges with high approval ratings and those with low approval ratings – I don’t know how that situation is allowed to continue without any intervention from some sort of ‘Internal Affairs’ type of oversight… That really needs to change! People’s lives are on the line, both literally and figuratively – for upwards of 8 years.

This guy is a disgrace. He made me have two people take off work and drive 250 miles round-trip, and he didn’t even take their testimony. He probably hates the military because he was tossed off the Tailhook case for “a legal impropriety.” Just google his name and dig a little for the story. No wonder people think that the system is rigged!

I know Judge Ritter from back when he was in the Navy. Yes, I need all you vets that he is screwing over to know that he was in the military himself. He should have more compassion. However, even when I knew him (at the time we went to the same church) he had little compassion for people who didn’t meet his ideas of who matters. He is a big reason that I went crazy, ended up in a mental hospital and left Christianity. He believes he knows best for EVERYONE.
I suggest to those of you who can to leave WI and move to a more liberal state.
Remember though he IS a veteran.

I am a veteran and had congressional interest. It took FOREVER. To get an answer. I actually called the offices in Mlwke and found out Ritter was on a leave of absence. I was told he would be back the following week and I should have a answer soon. Like the two judges b4 him it was a NO. The state of WI disability judges have a serious problem with the VA. They will do everything to discredit everything the doctors say at the VA. My conditions continue to get worse. In the past year my wife has left me. My kids no longer talk to me. I am alone in a house I am going to loose. No wonder 22 veterans take their own lives a day. I have tried various ways to get help and I can not get help. If there is a hell- I hope u and the 2 judges b4 u go there. I mean who do u and your back office people think you are. I look at other states and it is so easy for a veteran to get benifits thru social security if you are rated at just 90%. I have one rating at 100% alone for just one condition.

I have to say if you get Judge Ritter you will need to have all your ducks in a row and I mean make sure you go through your case and make sure its solid. This judge finds anyway to deny you everytime. I did not realize how bad it really was until i had to go through the process. At one time I even was looking at getting a different lawyer. I thought if i had one from Wisconsin it maybe better…NOPE I looked into over 5 different lawyers as soon as the Heard Judge Ritter they told me right out they will not take my case because he will just continue to deny you over and over. And these were all first contact phone calls so these lawyers didn’t even look at any of my records or anything. I am in the appeals process now and my only hope is that they remand it and not send it back to him because if they do we already know it will be denial.
