FYI correction vice oakbrook terrace insert Orland park as hearing office ALJ William J. Mackowiak
Judge Mack,
Congrats on your retirement. You will be missed. You were one of my favorites.
for the record, I retired at the end of May 31, 2021 from SSA OHO Oakbrook Chicago region V after 10 years of honorably serving as ALJ in Cleveland, Oakbrook Terrace and Oakbrook.. For the record, i adjudicated about 5,183 claims, or about 518 per year, from 2012 through May 2021. My approval rate was one of the highest in the Agency during my tenure. . My hearings scheduled rate was above the region and national rate. i held thousands of hearings from August 2011 through close of May 2021, without formal, or informal, complaint about me from any source save the above two remarks from “anonymous” on August 9 and 14, 2012, some nine years ago. Anonymous seemed peeved that i paid one claim without “comprehensive review” of facts and law, and paid the other claim using a “nice selective argument” without further discussion, which is not very helpful. Now that i am retired, I feel free to reply: consider the source!.
Its also easier to deny without applying the facts and the law. Nice selective argument you chose.
Allowing someone is always easier than making a comprehensive review of the facts and the law
