She doesn't read her cases. She mixes information up about the people she is seeing and does not listen to what is told to her. Bad judge.

Does not even read cases and goes against expert opinions in the name of reputation. Mixed up case information causing immense suffering both financial and emotional. Should honestly be removed from this position.

I have known this Judge for several years now, first when she was in Baltimore and now that they are in DC. The only good thing about Judge Applewhite is that she appears to do few hearings. If you are unfortunate enough to be in front of her be aware of the following. 1) Judge Applewhite is extremely unprofessional both to attorney's and to claimants. When I first went in front of her when she was in Baltimore I in normal course waived reading of the issues. She completely lost her mind at this and started ranting that she was the Judge and she does not accept my waiver and then proceeded to go through the entire issue process. During my closing at that hearing I argued a listing and she again started ranting that she was the Judge and would decide if a listing was met. I told her I know that and this is just my argument during the closing. She did not seem to understand this and kept stating that SHE was the JUDGE and would decide the case not me. 2) Judge Applewhite does not understand the medical records. Her ignorance in this regard is startling. When arguing a listing in front of her (a fairly common listing at that) during a recent hearing, it was clear she did not understand the medical terms involved. At one point she misread an imaging study, and at another she stated that a listing required an extra element that it did not require. When I tried to explain the terms involved she told me to "move on" and that she "would not hear anymore on this matter." I wish this was an anomaly but it is pretty standard for her. It is not terribly uncommon for a Judge to not be medical experts on every issue, but to also refuse to hear an explanation of the existing medical documentation is absolutely ridiculous and something that so far has been unique to Judge Applewhite. 3) Judge Applewhite approves few cases. Statistically she is pretty low and from what I can tell she is one of those Judge's who actively dislikes representatives being in cases. The fact that Judge Applewhite is an ALJ is probably the strongest argument currently existing for a change up in ALJ accountability.

She despises disabled individuals. She has nothing but contempt for them. As someone noted earlier, it appears she doesn’t read her files. She’s gone from the DC OHO so she’s no longer causing damage there. She wreaked havoc on the lives of the people who appeared before her. Very sad.

I have been thru a lot with Social Security Disability. My meeting with the Judge was nice. His only problem that we all had was to listen to the vocational person that sounded like she had no idea of what was said. I do hope that I win my case. If not I can become homeless and to live on the streets of Baltimore City

The ssi who didn't work shouldn't shouldn't respect my ssdi. I'm being evicted, to thing over 36 years straight work is down right rude

Negative ALJ. Likes to use Medical Experts to support her denials and even if the Medical Expert does not supply testimony desired, she will go with the state agency RFC.

Just had hearing with ALJ Edwards on 11-27-12. My 53yr old female with 10th grade education had been medically retired from VA Hospital where she worked 30 years as a nurses aide. ALJ only presented one hypo to the VE and that was the State Agency "Light" RFC, despite fact my client had already had 2 back surgeries and is scheduled for a fusion next month.

I agree with the other 2 posted "reviews" of ALJ Edwards. I had client with a document FSIQ of 44. Same client has numerous physical impairments. Denied. Got the case remanded by the AC - now the client has passed aways - from her disabilites - while still waiting to get approved. Horrible.

Very polite Judge. Did what I would term a standard hearing with opening statement, questioning of the claimant, VE questions, and closing statement. The Judge did the vast majority of the questions to the claimant. I don't know the outcome yet but I have no complaints regarding his professionalism.

Judge Andrew Emerson presided over my hearing on March 2016. He was very professional to me and my attorney. He asked me clear, concise questions such as.." How do you spend day?" Why are you unable to work? How far can you walk? Etc..He allowed me to explain and finish my thoughts. He was never rude or condescending. The VE expert said a few words to the judge at the end of the hearing. Overall, this Judge made the experience much less scary. Thank you Judge Emerson...

This woman was my judge, she is a very nice judge. Whereas i have not received my conclusion to my case yet. I just wanted to confirm that. This judge was indeed very nice, through, and kind. I am someone who us on the spectrum, I am an adult. I think its important to advocate for yourself and though i needed help with a lawyer I have been learning to trust my Journey. I hope and pray if you the reader is going through disability hearing that your experience is anxiety free. Though I have a huge amount of anxiety, this judge and her voice helped to make my experience less anxiety filled. It was the Vocational Rep., who gave me anxiety and extra overwhelming sensory issues because of the extra sounds coming from his phone on his end (not static but extra unwanted noises that i someone on the spectrum could not get past).

I can't in my right mind even call this guy a judge. It was obvious that he did not read all the facts of my disabilities. I had M.R.I.'s to prove my neck and back disc degeneration. Also my doctors form stating i have bipolar disorder and i take 300 mg of seroquel. This medicine causes me to have a zombie like effect when i am awake. It also causes me to sleep from 12 to 16 hours. How am i supposed to go to work when i can barly get out of bed. I also have had problems with arrhythmia and sleep apnea. I'm probably living on borrowed time but this judge did'nt give a crap. I used and attorney and was told they would'nt have taken my case if they could'nt win it. This judge should be fired because he abused his discretion and position.

He is very polite. I wish that he could render a decision from the bench. This long wait is very agonizing and throws me into a panic. This waiting period is not good for those who suffer from mental illness. We already have to work the nerve up to come I to court than to wait no that before a decision I no good. Please just try to work on making a decision from the bench(which is what is suppose to happen in the front place). Thanks for reading

This man had no reason to deny me. I had medical records and proof of my disability. He stated at my hearing that my before and after x-rays were frightening. But said in his disposition that if I can talk on the phone, I can work. This man is clearly predujuce. He needs to be removed. If your black and you scraped your knee. Your in luck, because this fool will hand over SSI, but be white and paralized...you ain't getting squat!

I want to say thank you for Myler disability team and to Judge Jordan. My life was impacted by my accident in 2016 where I lost my job and the ability to pay my Bill's and take care of myself. The judge was compassionate and very understanding. I walk with a cane and sometimes with a walker due to my severe chronic back pain and mental health has declined a lot. My disability was approve before the hearing was over. Thank you so much....

This man should be removed as a judge. My claim was denied. All these mental health people recommended me to file for benefits. Ive paid into the system for 25 plus years. He makes over $170,000 a year, yet he denied me a $700 plus per month benefit! Not impressed with him. Fuck Jeffrey M. Jordan and his overpaid ass. Probably got his job through affirmative action! Fuck you Judge Jordan. I would really like it if you dropped dead !!!!!!!.Consensus seems to be you might be prejudiced you piece of shit! Jason Ellington says FUCK YOU loud and clear. All my issues and health problems and you denied me. Youll get whats coming to you one day and i hope it really really really hurts. Fuck off you incompetent,non-understanding ,unsympathetic ,overpaid ,unqualified, biased piece of shit. You will get yours, trust me. Unapologetically, Jason Ellington.

Having been in quite a few hearings with Judge Maley, I found her to be whip-smart, efficient, and totally professional. She is also compassionate, fair, and very attractive. LOL. I have heard her thanked and complimented by claimants, attorneys, and experts for the way she presides over hearings. You rock, Judge Maley.

ALJ Maley is fabulous!!! She produces well above the average number of decisions, holds thorough hearings, issues well-written decisions, and has very few remands. She is also great fun as a colleague and coworker. She is very serious about her work but has a lovely, bubbly personality and a great sense of humor. Despite the relatively recent tragedy in her life, she remains upbeat and positive. I admire her greatly.

I think Judge Maley was excellent. Even though my final decision has not been finished she was very understanding and pleasant. I know that she is thorough and makes her decisions wisely. My hearing was in Feb. and I have heard she made her decision sent it to ODR and was not pleased with there decision so she sent it back to be changed. I have faith that she will come to the right decision on my case.

She was nice but she seemed passive aggressive. She did not seem to understand the extent of my issues and kinda joked around too much when I mentioned that I needed assistance with my children at times. It was hard to read her but it was also off putting when she did not let me mention my medications either. She said that alot of people are on medications and work...so lets not go there. I heard she was detailed and through...however in looking at her decision write up she was extremely judgmental and provided very humiliating reasons why she did not find me disabled. She found every one of my doctors not credible because they were military doctors and did not fill out paperwork to deem me unfit for a civilian job. She mentioned that a military job is harder than a civilian so I can adjust to a civilian job just fine. Military doctors and Veterans Affairs Providers are not in the business of telling you that you are unfit for any job whatsoever. They write their assessments and notes. I was stunned at her incompleteness and her lack of knowledge on my medical records. She even said that I never had a back X-ray but claimed back issues...I had an X-ray that was provided as evidence that diagnosed me with scoliosis. She was horrible. She said in her write-up that i was clean and wore accessories. Does that mean that I am devoid of any issues bc I am clean and wanted to wear my beads. I am stunned. Not that she disagreed with me...but that she was extremely judgmental and partially reviewed my records. She even wrote that i barely cried in any of my appointments. Really Judge? Really? It was disgusting. As a matter of fact it was noted many times that I was often tearful at my appointments. I am disappointing in this system and even more frustrated that it as been 5 years and I have already been to Federal Courts. Looks Like I will be going again. Thanks alot Judge Maley.

I had my hearing approx 3 months ago and Judge Kim was very understanding. She had the facts in front of her (my medical records) and my lawyer said maybe 5 words. She told me that I had solid evidence to support my claim. She gave me a favorable decision on the spot. I really appreciate all her help.

So disappointed in the judge. Stated comments that my psychiatrist did not say. Tried to intimidate me into saying it was correct. I know some people try to abuse the system. I'm not one of those. She discounted all of my documented evidence from all of my doctors. It was a joke. She used the fact that I try to walk without a cane against me. I only use it when necessary. I don't try to over act or pretend. I was so disgusted with her that I started not to file again. I got an attorney who told me to keep filing until you turn 65. He told me that I worked hard over 20 years and did not cause my injury. I had a super work history and loved what I did. I still will not lie under oath. I will tell the truth and I will answer questions correctly. If you have been denied by this judge, please do not give up. I will continue to fight for my case and I encourage you to do the same.

Judge Miranda is probably one of the worst ALJs I have been in front of. If there is any errors in your file she will blame you and call you out on it in front of your client. She claims that Social Security never makes any mistakes and that evidence placed in your exhibit file had to be put there by you. She will tell you that Social Security has no plausible way to make a mistake about exhibiting your file. What a crock of total BS. She is hateful, rude, and lacks any sort of judicial tact. How she got on the bench is beyond me. She should be removed.

I've been in front of MANY ALJs that were MUCH worse than Judge Miranda. She can get tempramental at times, but for the most part she is very reasonable. She asks the rep if they want to give an opening, then asks the claimant about PRW, asks the VE to be ready to categorize the work when the time comes, asks the rep to go ahead with questioning, she will follow up with questions, will ask if the rep has any other follow up questions, then goes to the VE. She is very hard to read, though. She presents a hypo that results in jobs, then 3 or 4 that result in no jobs, so it's hard to know if she's thinking of paying or not except for the fact that she rarely pays! Very unfavorable.

She presents a hypo that results in jobs, then 3 or 4 that result in no jobs, so it's hard to know if she's thinking of paying or not except for the fact that she rarely pays! Very unfavorable.

Had a video hearing with this Judge. Her proceedings ran identical to the one described on 10/1/12. She was friendly throughout the whole proceeding and when she questioned the Claimant she did not get confrontational. Not sure of our outcome, but it was a smooth, pleasant process for all. There are FAR worse judges to be before.

Her numbers speak for this judge as she has the highest denial rate on this office. She likes to play doctor and recommend treatment plans speaking as though her background isn't in law but rather medicine. She gives little to no weight to all VA doctors, treating and evaluating, and doctors outside the VA healthcare system despite case law see McCarty verses Massanari. She also likes to cherry pick through the hypos the vocational expert uses instead of the factual comments the VE states when there is no work available due to your real life disability, not some hypothetical scenario. This judge works extra hard to deny disabled veterans with one hundred percent VA ratings. She clearly doesn't like veterans or respects the VA health care system.

Judge Murdock destroyed my life with his ruling, he denied my disability claim and I have not been capable of working due to a spine tumor and rheumatoid arthritis since 2011. I am destitute and a burden to my family. His ruling was not based on truth and was unfair and devastating. I feel sorry for anyone with legitimate problems who get him as a judge.

I have a friend who appeared before Judge Olmscheid in 2015 and a month after he heard my friend's case, he gave them an unfavorable decision. My friend has bipolar disorder and mild cerebral palsy, and has been the subject of some mistreatment by former employers because the medication they must take for the bipolar affects their ability to understand directions, especially verbal directions. They have a Master's degree in biochemistry which was earned in 1998, but in 2012 they tested at the 4th grade level in math and the 7th grade level in reading due to the fact that they do not do well on timed tests and do not work quickly. I know of somebody who recently was awarded SSDI for liver failure which was caused by the fact that this person almost drank themselves to death. This person, in my opinion, did it to themselves. My friend did not cause their own disability. Still, they cannot follow directions well, and Judge Olmscheid denied them because they have a Master's degree and said he could not understand why my friend would have one and still score so poorly on the tests. Their lawyer kept saying the tests were timed, and that my friend does not do well under stress, but Judge Olmscheid didn't seem to buy it. If you spent enough time around this person, it would be obvious that they deserve to be awarded disability. Please explain to me how such a person is denied, yet someone who caused their own liver failure is approved? I feel that a serious injustice has been done here.

I seen this judge about 3 weeks ago , have not received a decision yet but I can say he was very caring and listened to what was being said. I am really hoping he rules in my favor bc I don't want to have to go thru this process again or take it to the next level, but what ever his decision maybe I truely believe he will make his decision based on medical records and not on his personal opinion. He was a pleasure to have working my case. I don't recall much of what happen in there bc I am highly anxiety person and have memory problems but I do know I left feeling confident

Judge Timothy C. Pace: I had my hearing in November of 2013, and like so many people its a very long journey just to get to this court date. My disability and filing started in 2009 and there was some mistakes made within the SSD that put me way behind for me getting my trail date. After, a second filing in early 2012 and now with an attorney I got my date set in the middle of November. I advise anyone who is thinking about getting a attorney, Make sure they are local and NOT a national firm with lawyers scattered all over the country. I spoke to my attorney over the phone 3 times, twice within days of my hiring and never met him until I walked into the court room. My biggest mistake in my life. I did 99% percent of the talking and the lawyer made mistake right from the start, so I took control quickly and finished up the hiring. I even request that his fees be lowered if I won, right there at the time of the meeting. This action was granted by Judge Pace. Why did I gave Judge Pace a FIVE STAR review? Its simple and its based on two things and nothing more. 1) I had to deliver over 500 pages of medical records to the court before my court date because of my attorneys law firms poor handling of my case. So, I had a few calls and face to face meeting with the office staff. The staff was super helpful and truly cared about me as a person and my case. So, the staff shares in this review and the 5 stars. 2) Judge Timothy C. Pace got his five star rating for simply listening to my store. He just listened and you could tell he cared about my journey to disability status. Again, he listened and in the end that's all you can ask of any person: Judge, Doctor, Husband/Wife or partner. I walked out of the hearing knowing that I had my day and what ever happens next happens good or bad. But, I know in my heart and mind that I was heard!

He knows the law! He goes through very detailed questions with the Claimant and tries to make sure they understand everything. He's also good about questioning the vocational experts on their sources of information. His decisions clearly explain what he used to come to that decision, and he explains how much a claimant would really be expected to work. Claimants might not necessarily think he's a sweet, kind, and caring person, but they can be assured that he really considers the evidence and is trying to come to the right decision.

I had a hearing with him in october of 2010, my doctor has had me fully disabled since january of 2007 and I still lost my decision. I'm now on disablity 2 years later. I presented the same case and won. he lied about everything he wrote, the guy must not have a heart to give me a unfavorable decision. because of me losing my case in 2010 I lost my pension that I was going to recieve. I wish there is a way to get him to read this and let him know how he ruined my life. I wish you would man up and admit you made a big mistake so I could get my onset date change so I could recieve my full pension

i started my home improvement company in 1993 and usually had just one person working for me at a time and averaged slightly over a hundred thousand per year in gross income (not profit). in January 2002 i suffered a devastating accident while building a workshop on my property, the bracing that a 28' aluminum plank gave way i jumped off and the other guy leaned against the structure kicking the plank into both of my ankles causing bilateral pylon fractures. the fist surgery involved 2 -4.5" stainless plate and 16- stainless screws in each ankle each ankle , in physical therapy in July of that year two screws and the interior plate in the right ankle failed, meaning the bone on the inside of my right ankle was 1" out from where it was supposed to be. in Sept of 2002 both ankles were reconstructed a second time at Thomas Jefferson university in Philadelphia where they removed the 4 plates and 16 screws and went with 1 plate and 8 screws per ankle screwing both tibia and fibula together and shaving bone from my hips again to fill the voids that were left after removing all the dead bone and installing a bone growth stimulator in each leg. since i was going to be in a wheelchair thru another winter i asked the Dr. to sign a application for a placard, he instead filled out the form for a permanently disabled licence plate . after 15 months in a wheelchair two more years learning to walk again and 3 more years trying to save my business i called it quits that was Sept 2008. since then i have been living off an apartment i rent out on the second floor of my house for 700.00 per month which after property taxes and utility leaves me 100.00 a month to live on, i finally applied for ssi in June 2011 and was denied all the way to the federal level in 2014. i reapplied Oct 2014 and had a video hearing with judge Marty pillion on Feb 25 2016 where my lawyer this time presented forms from my ankle specialists stating that i am severely limited in amounts of time that i can stand and walk and i cannot bend crouch climb stairs or carry weight and the head of behavioral medicine saying that i have poor impulse control, anger depression complicated by severe chronic pain. judge pillon in his determination of not disabled under rules of the social security administration chose to ignore 3 separate ankle specialist and the head of the behavioral medicine dept and my primary care dr. and based his refusal on the 35 min examination by the doctor that the SSA sent me to for their examination whom incredibly said that i was able to walk with a normal gait could stand up out of the chair with no problem and was able to get dress without any help from others. while i was testifying about everything that i had gone through the wheelchair, learning how to walk again, losing over 200,000 dollars of my own money, the chronic pain i suffer from, the insomnia, the violent altercations that i went through which is the reason that i stopped working and became a shut in because if i hadn't i would have ended up dead or in prison, i was in tears he had asked me what i do during the day and i replied i sit in front of the tv or i go on the computer but i don't spend to much time on the computer because i have bad arthritis in my hands, that i cant use the mouse with my right hand because my fingers lock up i cant click on the mouse, he started screaming at me why wasn't there anything on any of the forms about arthritis in my hands, i replied because my hands aren't my problem that its my ankles that are ruining my life. then there vocational guy said that i could be a nut sorter, a file clerk or a parts counter guy. my lawyer cross examined him and with all my restrictions he eliminated all those jobs, much to my dismay he disregarded all of my doctors for the one that they sent me too. the video hearing started twenty minutes late because of the judge and when my lawyer was asking their specialist about my limitations the jack ass judge started yelling at my lawyer to hurry up this hearing is running over. HE WAS THE ASSHOLE THAT WAS LATE, I LOST THE HEARING BECAUSE HE WAS LATE AND HAVING A BAD MORNING.

Honarable Judge E. Schwarz is a very fair judge. He allowed me time to seek the help of an attorney, however the lawyers that claim to work for a percentage of the payment, actually have fine print that you may incur other charges. That being said Judge Schwarz was very informative. He also helped me with the Vocational Expert, after she stated a particular job that may be in my wheel house, he questioned her by saying with Marks disability(s) is he able to perform this type of work and she stated that there was no notations for my disability and that I may or may not be able to. The judge did not try to play down any of my issues and asked me questions pertaining to those issues. He has decided to send me for an evaluation to compile more facts about my statements. I will respect his decision, as I wait with my fingers crossed. Judge Scwharz, I'm my opinion is extremely professional, I have nothing negative to say about the hearing and treatment by the judge. He treated me with dignity and respect.

Judge Self was very patient and polite. She was very knowledgeable about my medical records and files and letters. Hearing took about 45 mins. She did not get upset when I got confused which was a great relief as I was so nervous. Felt she was extremely fair and listened keenly to what was said. Hearing was 11/9/17.

I seen this judge on 7/24/17 he was really nice I think he can tell I was nervous and my anxiety started to kick in he was really patient when I was answering my questions and the vocational guy on the phone said a few things I was a little confused but I think I understand what he was saying. I wonder how long it takes him to make his decision it’s starting to make me anxious cause I told him everything and last time in 2015 I got a paper it said I was disabled but that I was denied so that really confuses me it really don’t make sense but I hope that this time they approve me so that it can be done wit already.

Please pass this on to the judge: To: Administrative Law Judge, Charles Stark From: Irene Michele Heigh Your Honor Sir, This note is being sent to you this day, July 25, 2012, because back in Feb. 2008, I was standing before you for an altogether different matter, yet you bought up the fact that I had experience some difficulties with my then neighbor. You asked how I was getting along currently with my neighbors. I answered that I was fine and there were no real problems with my neighbors. Well Sir, that same evening my neighbor who lives in the same house that the neighbor who used to harass me lived in began similar behavior. She was upset because of a parking space. The law settled that and suffice it to say from that day until today we never spoke directly to one another. Today, she finally trimmed a bush that grows over her fence into my yard. I asked her politely to clean up the debris left in my yard. She got loud and drew the attention of other neighbors by using profanity to tell me she wasn’t going to do it and that I should stop “looking in her face. You know I don’t like you. I’m sick of you looking in my face everyday! Don’t say a thing to me. I’m not cleaning up s... You always in my face, you keep your face up my a.., You come make me pick it up!” My response: ‘I asked you politely to pick up your…(interrupted) You can’t control what I do with my eyes, You wish you had my face up your…(interrupted) Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it.” Your Honor Sir I’m sending this account to you, because I’m not sure what I should do now that this is recurring. I’m hoping and praying that you have a suggestion that will keep this from further negative development. Please, offer me a workable solution. Thank you.

I truly thank you Judge Janice Ulan, for Approving my case.. I feel you are truly impartial and fare, you asked reasonable questions and didn't try to trap me into saying something that would be damaging to my case.. You listened, and allowed me to tell you how i feel, and how it effected my daily life.. I felt like you really cared, and was sympathetic.. You are one judge that cares about the every day person, and what your disability can do to change your life.. God bless you and thank you again.....

The judge Robert W Young was NOT fair to me in my case. He did not want me to go into details as to why I can't work. I have '' SCIATICA''. Sciatica - Topic Overview What is sciatica? Sciatica is pain, tingling, or numbness produced by an irritation of the nerve roots that lead to the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is formed by the nerve roots coming out of the spinal cord into the lower back. It goes down through the buttock, then its branches extend down the back of the leg to the ankle and foot. What causes sciatica? The most common cause of sciatica is a bulging or ruptured disc (herniated disc) in the spine pressing against the nerve roots that lead to the sciatic nerve. But sciatica also can be a symptom of other conditions that affect the spine, such as narrowing of the spinal canal (spinal stenosis), bone spurs (small, bony growths that form along joints) caused by arthritis, or nerve root compression (pinched nerve) caused by injury. In rare cases, sciatica can also be caused by conditions that do not involve the spine, such as tumors or pregnancy. What are the symptoms? Symptoms of sciatica include pain that begins in your back or buttock and moves down your leg and may move into your foot. Weakness, tingling, or numbness in the leg may also occur. Sitting, standing for a long time, and movements that cause the spine to flex (such as knee-to-chest exercises) may make symptoms worse. Walking, lying down, and movements that extend the spine (such as press-ups) may relieve symptoms. How is sciatica diagnosed? Sciatica is diagnosed with a medical history and physical exam. Your doctor will ask you questions about your symptoms. And your doctor may be able to tell just by asking you these questions that you have sciatica. But X-rays and tests such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are sometimes done to help find the cause of the sciatica. How is it treated? In many cases, sciatica will improve and go away with time. Initial treatment usually focuses on medicines and exercises to relieve pain. You can help relieve pain by: Avoiding sitting (unless it is more comfortable than standing). Alternating lying down with short walks. Increase your walking distance as you are able to without pain. Taking acetaminophen (Tylenol) or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen (Aleve). Using a heating pad on a low or medium setting for 15 to 20 minutes every 2 or 3 hours. Try a warm shower in place of one session with the heating pad. You can also buy single-use heat wraps that last up to 8 hours. You can also try an ice pack for 10 to 15 minutes every 2 to 3 hours. There is not strong evidence that either heat or ice will help, but you can try them to see if they help you. Additional treatment for sciatica depends on what is causing the nerve irritation. If your symptoms do not improve, your doctor may suggest physical therapy, injections of medicines such as steroids, stronger medicines such as muscles relaxants or opioids, or even surgery for severe cases. He and other who were in the court room believe I can work. CASHIER,TICKET-TAKER,PRICE/MAKER light exertions. I cried so much when I was turned down. I use to able to work move at a fast past. I hope to my Lord,God he never experiences what others and I are going through. GOD is the JUDGE OF JUDGES. He has the last word and I will NOT give up !!!

He is very dumb as well because after a remand from Federal Court he was unable to follow simple instructions and he trampled on my rights by not committing several procedural errors that are obvious and glaring. He did not use a vocational expert and he did not proffered medical evidences from a consultative examiner despite the reason that he used the evidence to deny me. To make his decision so worse he copied and pasted previous decision of another ALJ despite the fact the this ALJ's decision is already been vacated and reversed. He is a disgrace to ODAR Baltimore. This ALJ is a bad egg, if you are unfortunate to get him, I am sorry for you and start planning your appeal immediately.

I have had Judge Young in a number of hearings over the years. Occasionally he will be professional in a hearing and keep proper decorum. However, most of the time he will be actively aggressive towards claimants and attorneys demeaning both for their disabilities and trivial matters respectively. When preparing my client's for hearing I tell them that this judge will be gruff and potentially even condescending towards them. When clients get flustered in front of Judge Young, I have noticed he will attack them even more. Whether he is trying to trip them up or is just frustrated with people who are scared when yells at them I do not know. It is true that he is a relatively low approving Judge, but it is his lack of professional decorum that is truly aggravating. I know when I have a case with Judge Young that my client is going to walk away from it shaken, confused, scared, and possibly angry because of his treatment towards the client during the hearing, regardless of whether the case is ultimately an approval or denial. If a Judge in either Maryland District or Circuit Court acted the way Judge Young acts when on the bench they would be disciplined, and if they persisted, would ultimately be removed from office. The fact that Judge Young has been this way for years is perhaps the greatest testament that the Administration does not care how low approving Judge's act so long as they don't attract attention to themselves.

I had this judge..all that is said about him is not all true..he gave me time to tell him about my problems..was a little harsh at times but over all was not that bad..my attorney was very helpful Sandra Serra... had to wait a few months for my decision..but got a partial favorable decision...not bad for a judge that denies most of his cases...

I truly feel sorry for anyone that gets this man Judge Robert W. Young, especially if you are black and a man.. No matter whats wrong with you short of being on your death bed, you don't have anything coming.. In 2013 this judge had my case, and yes! He was very overbearing and down right nasty.. I believe he already had is mind made up, he basically called my doctor a liar, and said he did not believe him.. So along with a stupid law team and him as a judge i was denied.. But if you are really disabled and not just trying to beat the system, than don't give up.. I found another legal team, Myler disability almost by accident, they are very professional, they call and check on you, send out emails and keep you up to date and informed.. They will not lie to you and tell you to be patient its going to be a long process.. They will take care of all the paperwork and make the process easy for you, because you have enough to worry about.. In April 2017 i went back to court and had a wonderful lawyer by my side.. My new judge was ALJ Janice Ulan, she was very professional and understanding, even when i become a little emotional because everything i was going through just become overwhelming, she was patient and allowed me time to regain my composer.. She was very fair, and compassionate.. I have been through a lot in the past seven years and have became very ill, she went by the evidence and listed to my Doctors.. None of the SS doctors had enough respect to even examine me and just decided to say no because they wanted to.. And she held them accountable for their actions, and did not find them credible.. She heard my case and gave me a fully favorable judgement.. I truly thank her for giving me back my life.. So dont give up keep fighting and GOD will see you through.. THANK YOU ALJ Ulan.....
