I was told this judge is no longer in Newark. However he still has my hearing pending. Does anyone know where I can send him additional supporting documents to make his decision?
He is a very bad judge, cherry-picks facts and doesn't follow ssa laws. His denial was so inaccurate that the appeals council reversed it to be favorable.
Thinks that women don’t want to work. Patronizing, condescending and bias. Denies cases that should be approved. He will not be missed No stars send him back to Newark he is still bitter about not getting that promotion he obviously did not deserve. With great power comes great responsibility no one really takes this seriously.
how can this guy be allowed to continue when his extremely low approval rate clearly show he has a bias against claimants. This is so sad.
Abandon all hope all ye who enter Grossman's court room. He derails hearings, disregards medical information from both private and SSDI medical experts (he completely disregarded any medical information showing I'm visually impaired), and I believe he does this with intent to hurt people because he smiles through it all saying he's trying to determine if he's being lied to. Clearly he thinks most who come before him are lying and trying to game a system which is against us to begin with. He approves less than 30% and dismisses or denies between 70% and 75% of the cases that come before him.
When I went for my Disability Hearing last month I was quite nervous, but during the hearing Judge Heyman was very attentive. I found him to be fair and willing to listen to my concerns about my disability I was put at ease. He also has a subtle sense of humor. Judge Heyman if you should read this comment by chance, thank you for hearing "my side".

This message is directed to sir judge Levine. My name is Christine Veitch. My address is 72 forest drive, East Northport, ny. Judge Levine was grateful enough to hear my appeal over teleconference from his offices to central i slip on March 4, 2020. My lawyer informed me at that time that a decision should be made in about 5 weeks. Unfortunately this country (and the world) faced a horrible pandemic that stole lives and I’m certain explains the delay. Judge Levine, over the course of these months I have prayed for a positive outcome but have expressed gratitude that I still have a chance. I do have extenuating circumstances as my live in companion has made it so very difficult to make real progress in therapy due to constant verbal beating ...if I do make progress, he senses it and makes certain to take any perceived control back and negate any growth I may have made. Am I still waiting for an answer? I am begging for one so that I can find a room elsewhere and maybe establish some sense of self. Christine Veitch 631.974.8874

Judge Marissa A Pizzuto was the judge that was in charge of my SSDI case in 2011. She was passionate and understanding when asking questions and listening to my response. Judge Marissa made me feel comfortable as in any court proceeding one would tend to be nervous. Judge Marissa ruled a fully favorable decision on my clam and I wish to thank her for her professionalism and caring in my SSDI case.

Thank you judge Pizzuto for being fair and balanced. The fact that your also very caring towards the claimants makes the experience of appearing before you all the more enjoyable.

You were a very patient with my son that has adhd and other issues. We appeared to you from Jamestown New York court room via satellite in 2009. You denied the fee of the legal aid because basically you relax if they were taking advantage of low incom people . Well my son was reviewed and a few months later approved again in 2015. I can't find anyone to help me. Now 6 years later not from this case but from the decision made in 2009 social security is giving my sons back pay from the new case to them. Can you please direct me in th way I should go

As a former H.M. Customs & Excise collegue of Judge walters, I just want to say a heartfelt congratulations on making Chief Judge. Well deserved Sir.
Judge Walters was very attentive when I was giving testimony for my Ssdi hearing. He listened and asked about all my conditions and medications. Very knowledgeable. The best! My hearing was 1 hour but with medical evidence I was approved.
Generally not a fair judge. He can sometimes sit on post hearing decision for 1 year. Does a lot of post hearing development. He often writes scare tactics letters to doctors, implying that they could be in some sort of trouble by writing a favorable RFC. He also questions, the doctors about fees they may have received for writing their report.

Beyond arrogant. Could care less about adjudicating a claimant's case and spends more time delaying decisions and holding unnecessary supplemental hearings. The guy failed as a commissioner of the ny workers comp board and ran off to be a disability judge because it was an easier gig. Completely anti-attorney. Make sure you get every single thing on the record and object early and often with this guy.

Allegedly feels that the disability attorneys who appear in front of him are terrible lawyers. Yet as a Judge, he recently showed up at his hearing office at 9am, had hearings on his calendar beginning at 8am, and apparently had no idea he even had hearings. How can a federal judge not know he has hearings when he arrives at court? These hearings are potentially the most important proceedings in a claimant's life and he shows up late and even worse, unprepared.

He pays more than half his cases. How can you complain about that?

ALJ Weiss can be hard to read at times but, in general, he grants the case. He takes quite a while to issue a decision and although some of his denials are questionable, he actually is one of the best ALJs in NY based upon the number of his favorable decisions. As a lawyer, I am happy when I see my case is assigned to ALJ Weiss.
