Ms. Adamo really listened to what I had to say. She seems fair and concerned. I am currently waiting to hear from her about her decision on my claim. I had my hearing in August of 2017.
I went before the judge on the 11th although it was a professional setting an handled professionally it was hard to half to answer some questions it was embarrassing to half to say I don't help around the house an telling strangers my limitations although they here this every day I'm not that person ..but I'm optimistic an hope for the best ..
I for one would be happy to have Judge Balutis presiding any case presented to the court. I find him to be reasonable, open-minded, and solution based. His presentation is with expertise, and his professionalism does not go unnoticed. I find him to be an asset to the ODAR office.
This Judge takes no mercy on your case. Ignorant, unfair and treats your lawyer with no respect. Makes his own judgement's on what mood he is in. Takes none of you serious injuries or Heath serious. Avoid at all costs. Uses his ego to show his unjustified judgements.
This Judge and I say that loosely is a disgrace. He has a nasty attitude and honestly I believe he hates his job. With a record of 53% denied and 27% approved, no wonder those at the ODAR office love him. He is not for the sick and should be removed ASAP.
Judge balutis is a joke. Waited 2 years and he cancelled 15 minutes before my hearing while I was waiting to go in. I wrote a letter of complaint to the Head judge and was rescheduled 3 months later. First words out of Judge balutis mouth was to chastise me for writing a letter to the Head judge. He denied my case even though my paperwork is impeccable and my testimony completely matched my doctors opinions. Let's face it, he has half the approval rate and twice the denial right of any other judge. You would think somebody would look into this. He's ruining more than my life he's ruining other people's lives as well.
Update: I guess I just wasn't sick enough at the time. Last week they found me face down and flat line for 10 minutes. Look at this judges statistics. I think he gets off on denying people he approves half of what everybody else does. I guess I just wasn't dead enough for him. he needs to go and I'm going to lobby for it. I don't want some other poor person go to what I had to do with this guy.
Total disgrace. Denies 50% of cases. With multiple medical problems that require multiple medications, I guess he still thought my 62 yr old mother is well enough to work. Fibromyalgia, heart issues, diabetes, depression, anxiety, CHF all are not enough for this guy. This guy is an ******** ******* who gets off on hurting people.
This guy is a joke. I have multiple, chronic illnesses. My physicians say I can't work. I'm almost 60, have prescriptions a mile long and I'm homeless because I can't work. Evidently I need to be dead in order to be approved by this idiot. He needs to lose his job!!!
The judge Daniel balutis was discrimination on me that iam born deaf from rubella and he say I can heard good my ears not true story and iam denied see not right so I am appeal complaints to him and mine hearing test level dB on Nov 8,1982 90DB on left ear and right ear is 86 DB in Model Secondary School For The Deaf in Washington,DC and also on Aug 18,1978 DB was 68DB right side ear and left side ear was 75 DB in Susquehanna Middle School in Harrisburg,Pa Capital Area Intermediate Unit (CAIU).
This judge doesn't see facts of people medical he doesn't read what's in file and he's judgemental.

I don't have anything nice to say about judge Bright. She hears what she, wants to hear. Then twist your words around very disappointed by the way she came up with her decision just plain ignorant.
I went before Judge Maryann Bright and although the process caused me a lot of anxiety she had a calming presence. She was professional and pleasant. I forgot to express how my medication made me feel but other than that she allowed me to explain my illnesses and how it’s affected my life. I don’t know the outcome yet because it’s only been a couple of weeks but she was definitely fair.

Be prepared for the worst. She rolls her eyes, gasps for air, and plunges her body on the bench incessantly. When attempting to coax you into telling her things you can do, she bobs her head up and down. She will not allow you to talk about all your conditions; only the ones she wants to talk about. She will omit any medical evidence which supports your case. She is also a liar. She will state you said things and reported conditions that are not supported by the transcript. Maybe she doesn't know that the claimant and attorney are privy to transcripts. With this judge, if you can make a sandwich, you're a chef. If you can take a bath, you're a lifeguard. If you can drive a car, you're a taxi driver. If you can buy a gallon of milk, you're a seasoned shopper. If you can pick up a broken glass, you're a housekeeper. If you can watch television, you're a movie producer. If you live with someone, you are a socialite and get along well with others. If you live alone, you are 100% self sufficient and therefore, not disabled. If you stopped taking meds due to finances, you've not followed doctors orders. If you have continually taken prescribed medicines, your medical condition is being controlled with said medicines. She relies heavily on the initial SSDI findings of years past and discredits opposing and more recent medical opinions. This, in spite of the fact that you have probably never met with a state employed doctor. Her apparent knowledge of the law is nil. Her propensity for error is unmatched. Her ethics do not encompass common honesty as falsehoods and lies abound.
She is a very pleasent judge and very respectful she did a good thing for my appeal
Don’t recommend for someone who has an Autism Spectrum disorder and how it effects each individual differently. Pretty disgusting how she views someone whom she doesn’t know:(
I came before magistrate Katich in 2016, my case is pretty complex however I do use both a cane and a walker. I use the cane mostly just around home but the walker for longer distances or when I will need to be standing longer. I also have bladder incontinence, interstitial cystitis, severe migraines, insomnia, depression, ddd. carpal tunnel, ulcers, chiari malformation, dizzy spells, fibromyalgia, IBS, asthma, copd, and hyper-mobility syndrome and those were just the ones they knew about when I went before her at that time. Now the career lady on the phone said with the cane even I would not be able to do an any of my past jobs and that add in the time I would miss from the frequency and strength of my migraines or the number of bathroom breaks I require and that my health issues would make me unable to get or maintain employment. Well they had just found a new issue on an mri and were sending me to a neurosurgeon for a consultation on it to determine if it was repairable or not, however when I went to the appointment they took my insurance card and when they ran it, it turned out there was an issue with my insurance and it had to be rescheduled. I felt like the hearing went well, but then I got my decision in the mail and it stated that I was denied. However, it said I met all the criteria and was considered disabled under the guidelines but was denied for missing that appointment. I did not miss it, I went but there was a mess up with my insurance but either way, that extra issue does not change the fact that I already met the guidelines and requirements. Of course the attorney I had for that case was in a different state and did not return any of my calls in time to file the appeal on that so I had to start over from scratch so I just got a new attorney and made sure it was a local one this time so if they don't return calls I can drive to their office if need be. But be warned, she is very friendly and seems caring in the hearing but she apparently prides herself on the fact that she has the lowest approval rating in the state of Indiana. Since my last hearing they have found out my other issues are from the fact that I have both Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and Common Variable Immune Deficiency, so this time should be pretty cut and dry I would hope. I am hoping it does not even have to go to hearing level, but if it does I pray I do not get her again because I could be in a hospital bed on life support and still get denied under this judge I believe. I have lost 70% range of motion in my right arm from the EDS and can not even wash or brush my own hair without help and I have to get IVIG treatments at the hospital every 3 weeks just to have some type of immune system since my body does not generate one on its own. All I can say is if you get her, good luck...
She is a very fair and accurate Judge.she listens to what people really has to say. She has a heart unlike so many in her type of position.

She is a very compassionate and caring Judge. She do know if your are disable or not. The thing I liked most about her was that she took the time to listen to what I was saying composed to the questions she asked me. I would recommend her to review a case for me at any given time.

She was very rude and showed no compassion. She had the wrong information on my file. She brought up a doctor's appointment that I did not go to, had no appointment with and according to her I went for the doctor to write me a note to obtain a floor apartment and not be forced to live on the second or third floor of an apartment building(problem with HER information, we live in a house that is paid for) the appointment was never set up and I wouldn't't have set it because we own our own house and make no payments. All of these judges need to be put out to pasture. They do not have a clue about the people and the information that pertains to that person. Out of touch with reality and human beings. The statement up above states that the judge may view your post. I hope she does, after the screwed up way she handled the hearing somebody needs to tell her she is INCOMPETENT.
I was wondering if any one had any information on this Judge? I had my hearing in February, but have yet to receive a decision. She seemed very professional and interested in the facts of my case, I had a lot of confidence when I left the hearing, but now worry has taken over. It has now been 5 months of review by the judge..No decision, is this normal? Thank you

I have had one hearing with this judge. She does ask most of the questions. Also she understands claimant's "most of them" continue care and wants the file updated before she decides. With that said I believe she reads the whole file. Doesn't require an opening statement. Seems like most judges do not require it or don't want to waste there time with the rep stating what they have already read. Practice tip: But you must always be prepared to open so you don't look like an idiot.
Very good judge
Bases cases on her personal opinions and not the facts of the case. Someone's sexual relationship or personal appearance shouldn't be a a factor on a mental disability case
Judge Patricia Melvin didn't have updated information and refused to consider it after I paid for it and sent it to her. She was rude and uncaring . Because of her my son can't see the doctor and get his meds . He is on 9 different meds and we can't afford to buy them . I wish there was something I could do to make her accountable for his doctor visits and meds
She's racist
She's a racist and liar.

Rita Brooks I have appeal over and over still passing out what do I do next die !
I would recommend not to be fooled by this ALJ stats. He will certainly be nice to the Claimant but it is not uncommon for him to dismiss the opinions of the treating physician when well supported and to search for any minor inconsistency to try and trip up the Claimant and damage his or her credibility.

I thought Judge Miller was fair and very thorough. He considered all the facts and made a decision to approve my claim at the end of my hearing. I did feel that many of the questions were such that if someone trys to embellish their story or lie, Judge Miller would pick up on it and the hearing probably wouldn't go well.

Judge Neary, My name is Amanda Wroblewski. You granted me SSDI benefits starting October4, 2008. Their were some changes in the status of my situation, which I did report, How ever, Due to a clerical error, my information wasn't processed properly. Now I have been back and forth fighting with man who took away my benefits 11 months later. I have asked for waivers, He denied all of them, I have appealed his decision, He didn't care. I filed a complaint of my civil and disability rights, and I have no idea what happened now this has been going on since 2008. Denied, appeal, waiver, you name it I followed it through. I did manage to send in lost information that I did work in 2006, 2007 and 2008. The IRS is fully aware. I was accused of receiving benefits on my son who is Autistic, Which you denied him of those benefits. I'm asking you to please re-instate me. At least that's what I was told in 2009. You were the Judge on my son's case, as well as mine. I saw you 4 times, finally You approved. Can you over ride his decision this representative who works at my SS local office. He's a secretary. Judge Stalbrink, and a Federal Court Judge Harry C.Dees Jr. agree, and now I'm asking you for your help. This has gone on long enough. Yes my son is still Autistic and lives with me and for me, well I've gotten worse. There was no reason for him to bully over $540.00. I'm not the one who failed to put the information in the computer correctly. And I'm sorry, I don't think I should have to start all over. But only you can over ride there decision, to have me re-instated, since you were the Judge assigned to my case. Sincerely, Amanda J Wroblewski. Please

I represented a claimant before this ALJ recently who suffered from a mental illness. Onderak was dismissive and demeaning to the client and attorney throughout the hearing. I spoke with the representative who immediately preceded me and he had a similar experience. The ALJ spent a considerable amount of time questioning irrelevant drug history, some of which was non-existent in the medical records. He gave one hypo during direct of the VE that in no way corresponded to the magnitude or severity of the symptoms the claimant suffered from. He also made an effort to control cross-examination of the VE by refusing to let the VE answer some questions. Onderak was completely dismissive of the claimant and the attorney despite medical records and opinion statements (corroborated by the records) that more than demonstrated a medical listing was met. I cannot understate the lack of professionalism that this ALJ exhibited from the bench. Onderack demonstrated a severe lack of judicial temperament and professionalism throughout the hearing.
I've had real good experiences with ALJ Onderack. Appeared in front of him 2 times and both clients had severe mental issues and anxiety. ALJ Onderakc was very professional and patient with the claimants. I will say this ALJ asks more questions and takes control of the hearing more than many other ALJs
This judge real nice to me for my trial. but he denie me mine, he ask about meth use and i stop use 2 week bfore trial. Going appeal for sure
I have appeared in front of this ALJ on numerous occasions. He thoroughly reviews the medical file, asks appropriate questions and his hearings are professionally conducted. He is not an easy pay ALJ though.
I felt the judge was more interested in my drug abuse history more then my disabilitys he asked me more questions about drugs then about my work abilities and i was warned before i went into the hearing that he was anti drugs and to try and rush by the question and move onto health questions but it was impossible i almost got up and walked out of the hearing from crying so hard and yes i was denied and in his denial letter it Contradicts its self so i really pray the appeals bored listens to the recorded hearing and reviews his reason for denial letter because non of it makes sense i knew i would be denied just by the way he treated me if i could rate this judge -stars i sure would
Good
If you misssed your court date with Judge Onderak, does he reschedule your court date. I am homeless with my children and I have a open CPS case?
Thank you!
Incredibly thorough with his questions for claimant. Judge Roberson was incredibly respectful and kind to the claimant, while still maintaining the highest degree of professionalism. This made the hearing a pleasant experiences for the claimant. I wish more judges had the judicial temperment of Judge Roberson.
Had 4 hearings with this judge, she asks hypotheticals that all over the place. Asked about 7 different hypos on each hearing. Hard to tell how she will rule. Asks a lot of questions herself, lets attorney have 15 minutes to discuss the medical conditions and limitations.

Very nice, very helpful, used a vocational expert half the time, but she is old school. Ask some questions but not in order, and does not ask all, you have to be on your toes.

former atty for claimants now an intense, smart, egotistical, opinionated, biased, but very well prepared ALJ known to hold grudges. we had a claimant who had been denied by another ALJ but had since gotten worse and had new severe impairments (cervical DDD, lumbar DDD, depression) which we documented with 2 years worth of treatment and tests (MRIs, etc). At hearing and in decision denying claim, ALJ Stam ignored the new problems and acted like claimant made it up. ALJ interruppted questioning by me saying she had already covered that topic, but she had not really. [I was asking specific Qs about Claimant's trouble using her hands]Then stopped my Qs of VE on same topic. AC upheld her denial withou comment.

the worst judge anybody could ever have and a lying judge at that, very unhelpful judge, very well known to hold grudges from other alj's decisions didnt even look at the real problem this judge is in an awful judge and should not be involved in the social security she has no heart no sympathy and no care for the claimants feelings or disabilities she is only out to care for herself! the worst judge anybody could have!

I got a bench decision yesterday. One of the nicest Judges I have ever met. Changed onset date and approved me at hearing. GOD Bless You Judge Winters for making my life better. Thank You From the Bottom of My Heart.
