This judge was respectful, but based her decision on the Social Security doctor's 10 minute exam, instead of my primary care doctor's evaluation of me. I knew going in she had a very low approval rating compared to others in the KC office. She seemed to have her mind already made up at the beginning. Just bad luck on my part to have her assigned to my case instead of one of the others. Good luck to others if she ends up being your ALJ.

This judge was very thorough. I felt heard during my testimony (at the phone hearing due to COVID-19). She listed all of the supporting information used in her decision and granted me disability for an illness that is extremely rare and not very well-known. I appreciate her thoroughness and the positive finding.

Judge Bock was very professional during my hearing. He offered myself and my attorney opportunities to speak and state our testimonies without rushing us. I feel he listened to us and our testimony was weighed with the evidence. My advice would be to be prepared and not be nervous. If you have your facts and speak the truth, the truth will prevail. They have a job to do and I feel this judge does his well.

In his letter of decision, George Bock downplayed and minimized my conditions, cherry picked evidence, and twisted the truth to deny me of my benefits. some major parts of my medical records were left out or ignored and several of Bock's statements were outright lies. In my opinion, Bock is nothing more that a well paid bureaucrat and liar. Shame on you George, kicking people while they are down.

I saw Judge Bock three years ago. He denied my claim. He had over 50 mistakes in my denial letter. It was clear that he hadn't listened during my hearing or even read my file. He used that fact that I have a Facebook account against me. He was nitpicking everything he could and 98% of it wasn't even right. I ended up going to federal court and they sent it back to SS. My next hearing (with a new judge) is coming up soon. I hope that she familiarizes herself with my case and listens to me at my hearing. I would give Judge Bock 0 stars if I could.

Had a hearing with this judge. She seemed disinterested in my testimony. She stated it would be a few weeks to a decision. That was 4 months ago. There should be a complaint system in place with oversight to make these judges give timely decisions.

My first hearing with Judge Christina Cooke was on 10/2013. I appealed it August 2012 after the initial denial in 7/2012 (Applied in February or March.) First date in June 2013 was postponed because the Judge couldn't make it. I was late because I have Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (and a ton more.) My husband worked evenings and forgot to set his alarm! We we're 10 minutes late. Made a 45 trip in 20 minutes I think. I finally got my decision after Christmas dated 12/13. She wasn't fast in any manner! Because of her, I not only had to give my 8 year old son to his dad to raise. I have a 7 year old son with my husband. My disabilities caused my husband to want a divorce. I had no income yet he kept pushing for me to move out. Abused me in front of our son and even had another family of 4 move in to push me out. I finally ended up at Hope House for 3 months until I got my own one bedroom apartment. During this time, my husband took out a "Order of Child Protection". Even though I won in court, I am being charged the $1300 for the GAL fee! So I lost my home (and he threw everything away!), my son and my husband! I LOST MY FAMILY AND EVERYTHING I OWNED BECAUSE OF HER WRONG DECISION! YES, I AM VERY UPSET WITH HER! I'M JUST GLAD THE FEDERAL COURT SYSTEM WORK AND PRAY SHE REALIZES THIS TIME HOW WRONG SHE WAS. AND THAT IT DOESN'T TAKE 2 MONTHS TO GET MY DECISION (ARROVAL.) I took my 1st claim to Federal Court (this claim) and my new appeal is 9/2016 with Judge Christina Cooke! She was very unfair, and used the oldest information possible and picked and choose what parts she wanted to use. Words direct from the Federal Court when they sent it back for a new hearing as well! She took a medical experts opinion, over my own Rhuemotologist that I had been seeing every 3 months (at minimum) for 2 years, simply because "he encouraged me to exercise to decrease pain!" So I face her with my new attorneys now! Good luck to anyone who has her. Her approval rate has increased from then, I believe. So hopefully she is being more careful in her decision making process now.

I have not received my decision from Judge Erickson yet, but I have to say I've been through this process before and she was a very pleasant judge to have. In the past I was told it was a waste of time to represent myself, I don't know how it turned out, but she did at least let me speak, and I feel, really listened to me. I was nervous going in, and still shakey going out, but it was not because of Judge Erickson, but rather just nerves. Compared to my last hearing, Judge Erickson was very fair, and pleasant.

JUDGE DIANA ERICKSON Is a very open-minded, understanding Judge, that is very fair! My second claim appeal went to her for the hearing. I was very nervous because her approval rate was the lowest of all of the other ALJs! My attorneys Parmele and Parmele, requested a decision on review (think that's what it's called.) Basicly asking for her to look at all of the evidence and approve my case, without going to a hearing. The morning of the hearing I get a call from ODAR. I was getting coffee and missed it. I just saw the missed call and knew the office wasn't technically opened and figured it was my attorneys. I called and she asked if it was me and I said yes. She said I'm trying to get ahold of your attorneys, but wanted to let you know that you don't need to come to the hearing today. I didn't understand. She said " I'm not supposed to tell you, but the Judge made a decision on record this morning. Your appeal was approved!" I just started crying and couldn't talk for a minute. Thanked her a billion times and told my ride to turn around and what happened! She changed my life! That was on 1/26/16 and I got my first payment the end of February or beginning of March! I'm took my 1st claim to Federal Court and my new appeal is today at 9am with Judge Christina Cooke! She was very unfair, and used the oldest information possible and picked and choose what parts she wanted to use. Words direct from the Federal Court when they sent it back for a new hearing as well! She took a medical experts opinion, over my own Rhuemotologist that I had been seeing every 3 months (at minimum) for 2 years, simply because "he encouraged me to exercise to decrease pain!" Had my hearing on June 8th, & just got my denial letter. Very frustrating! Cannot work any longer due to back problems. Judge Gillet & all disability judges have a huge workload and I have a lot of respect for them. So I am not, nor would I ever, going to criticize him for his dicision. I will appeal & hope for the best, as I desperately need my benefits!!!!!

Sonya Collins, the same situation with me. The Vocational Expert said there was no jobs in the national economy that I could do either, about a years or a little over I got a Denial Letter, I eventually got SSI and screwed out of several years of backpay and they did not deposit my October benefit because a insurance company took their sweet time sending the information they (SSA) requested from me, and SSA clearly stated that they would help me get that information and for 8 months failed t do and I sent them the contact information!

The Judge was fair and very knowledgeable. I was sorely prepared as a cross examiner, I am not a lawyer. Look, this Judge is following the rules and considering the testimony of the doctors. These cases all ride on your medical information. The treating physician holds all the cards and must spell out your restrictions in a written form. None of the personal suffering matters, it's the content within the four corners of the medical records that count. When it's time to testify you are discussing the documents, not your personal downfall. Get your case files and read every page, somewhere buried in those documents is the reason why your case is failing to meet the rules. Speaking of the rules, since I know you can surf the internet read the Blue Book and check to see if you actually have an ailment listed spelled out in your medical history. Remember it is the medical content being discussed. Back to Judge Gunn, she has a powerful persona and is very much in control of the room. I got the feeling she knew one of the Doctors testifying had not read the complete record, and she shut them down quickly. I got every chance to ask questions along the way, but as I stated if it is not in the record, it doesn't count and is not discussed. Judge Gunn started talking about the grid, codes, this, that and the other. To tell you the truth, there is something wonderful about an intelligent woman that knows her stuff. I was totally distracted by the professionalism she displayed, her courtroom manner was pleasant and not bad to look at either, but I digress. At the end of my hearing my symptoms kicked in, I was thinking maybe I should have gotten a lawyer to do this hearing, when I heard the Judge mention details of the case which indicated she knew what was up. Be prepared and she will help you if you have the records. Contrary to what I heard about this will be the time you can tell your story to the Judge, it is not a story from your mouth but from your paperwork and records.

She is a tuff judge! She has postpone my case twice. She repremanded my attorney in the second hearing for not having all my medical records. She told them on the record that they were a disservice to me in doing so. So, hearing number three? Postponed and assignd toa new judge. Now I have to see a new judge. I have a lot of respect for her but am quite annoyed with all the postponements because of the hardship it has created. She is no nonsense and is all about the records. So prepare.

Judge Scott Johnson made a ruling in my case base on related religion. I been before him twice. He asked questions concerning me praying on my knees( its on the record). Also his ruling went against my Drs .who deemed me disabled. Does the working people who become disabled have a chance to obtain the money they put into the system?

It is disheartening to know that a Administrative Judge as accidentally or deliberately incompetent as Robert A. Kelly is allowed to serve in that capacity. My justification for this opinion is backed by the following facts of my case: 1) Mr. Kelly ignored testimony by a vocational expert employed by the SSA that would require a ruling in my favor according to 20 CFR Part 404.1520 (g). 2) Mr. Kelly ignored evidence that supports a disabled status determination according to 20 CFR Part 404, Subpart P, Appendix 1. 3) Mr. Kelly ignored reputable medical test results, and claimed there were none. 4) Mr. Kelly ignored diagnoses by a reputable medical specialist, and substituted his own. 5) Mr. Kelly didn’t bother to learn my case and personal history and drew erroneous conclusions as a result. 6) Mr. Kelly used a personal interpretation of SSA rules to omit material that was submitted on time and that would have further supported my case. Avoid a hearing by Mr. Kelly if you can.

Judge Lehr was very professional in the courtroom as I had my hearing using a television. Judge Lehr did not ask me any questions as he lead it up to my attorney to ask the questions. The reason I am giving Judge Lehr a 1 star rating is because after receiving my unfavorable decision I was reading through what Judge Lehr had said why he gave me the unfavorable decision and most of what he had said was not true and my words was twisted on what I said in the courtroom. For example, Judge Lehr said I said in the courtroom that I walk my dog and bath and feed my dog. What I actually said was I let my dog out during the day while my husband is at work so he can use the bathroom. Not once did I say I feed and bathe my dog!! My words was twisted so much that I am highly livid! Please be aware of this judge as he will twist your words. Another example I was denied is because I have been in a relationship with my husband since 2016. He said if I can live with someone then I can work! Wow this Judge really needs to work on himself!

A sorry excuse for a judge. To get approved you must be on your death bed. Does she ever take a day off for being sick? If so, how hypicritical can she be? If she had some kind of surgery, would she take time off? Of course she would. If she had the disabilities that some of the cases she heard, she would commit suicide. But she denies them. For any aches or pains that she has, go to work like you expect everyone else to do.

Very pleasant Judge. I applied for SSDI in May 2013 denied in July 15 2013 and appealed the decision July 15 2013. Hearing date was November 17 2014. Fully favorable Decison on December 8 2014. I'm only 39 years old and have severe DDD in lower lumbar. My attorney had all my evidence together like MRI ,X-rays and notes and RFC from my orthopedic surgeon. Good luck to everyone cause it is tough and a long wait. But Judge Mein was very nice and seemed very sincere about what I had to say and she was great. Thank you.

I am writing this for my husband who is completely distraught after we read his decision and I am beside myself. I should be clear since she assumed he authored certain well written cogent letters to doctors when in fact I had to and he signed I've been his POA for two years. I've been to all his therapy and Dr appointments he has in the last several years had 6-7 Dr's cardiologist neurologist neorosurgeons primary dr phsycogist psychiatrist ambulatory, therapists and I've lived with him for years. He's had so much testing and blood drawing every 3 months and MRI's X-rays psych evaluations. Btw I should note I am also an HR expert with over 16 years real world experience and degrees and certifications so I know a thing or two about disabilities job hiring types of jobs policy relating to breaks and limitations and all that governs it. They should live with him before they decide to make uneducated and incredibly dubious comments, assumptions, and claims. He Never met a more two face dishonest person and I agree after what I read and know to be true. She has her own agenda clearly either that or I'd have to question her competence on disabilities and disability law. She threw out Social Securities own Dr's evaluation and said he wasn't credible. She claimed his Reg dr wasn't credible because he didn't list all his conditions even though the records reflected them and details which her personal dr said should be in his records based on testing and because he didn't have him on a higher dose of Oxycodone consistent with his physical conditions and medical records. She then said his psychiatrists wasn't credible because her diagnosis and limitations were only her medical opinion, even though they were supported with extensive testing and records. The judge added more conditions and limitations beyond what My husband had initially and the vocational expert said some weren't even in the manual so she wasn't even sure He could do the non skilled 3 jobs she selected from nation wide which were only 20,30 and 50 thousand jobs nationwide. She went on to add more limitations in the decision. The jobs all but one existed mostly in reality as a duty within other duties for a office job title like document scanner almost everywhere no matter your job one of your additional duties is to scan your own documents. Almost no one hires a "document scanner" circuit boards mostly are made in China, packers mostly ups or fed ex or a company like amazone where he can't have the limitations imposed. She claimed no foot peddles no in an out of hot or cold no bending stopping crouching crawling lifting no real thought or decision making. Little interaction with co workers or supervisors. There's not a job in the world that allows those limitations. She didn't tell the whole truth as reflected by the record about explained actions that when in school He was a slow learner and needed help and graduated a year later yet she said he graduated so it was a sign of lack of disability. She claimed because he attempted to cut our 15X15 ft yard with a self propelled mower he wasn't disabled yet it was explained in hearing and in my letter he had to take many breaks and I had to help finish she could ask the neighbors for Christ sake. She claimed I the wife was not credible when she never met me and had no information on me other than what I Privately wrote to her about his symptoms conditions and limitations which were 100% true.

Judge who makes decision based on her biased perception. Even if you have medical records with doctors’ statements and vocational expert testifying there is NO jobs with your type of disabilities get ready for a disappointment: no medical records, testimonies can change her mind. I wish someone would look at her cases and determine if she is cable of not biased decision.

Judge Meyr was professional and ran his courtroom with integrity. He never talk over anyone and was patient during our testimony. I feel confident this judge has no agenda other than to make a fair determination.

I Pray the judge (Myer), his peers and superiors, all review boards and authorities, and concerned taxpayers see these comments.... Meyr is incapable of doing his job according to The Laws governing SSDI, Period. He is either Lazy, or, he is merely pushing paper to "keep the flow going" so he gets his paycheck,... without regard to people, fact, or law. He just wants a paycheck, and suffering people Be Damned! Myer has no integrity, Period ! Per my learned and experienced attorney, VERBATIM, no less,... "Myer has committed Significant Mistakes"...!!! ... mistakes based in Law AND Fact. Personally, I would immediately request any other warm, living, breathing, different judge, if assigned this inept phony who should never again be allowed to make any decision regarding the life or welfare of any other person on the planet, henceforth, let alone wear The Robe and sit on The Bench. (yes,... I was raised around attorneys and in law offices). Meyr cannot even identify ONE condition, of several, which Automatically Qualify a person for SSDI, even when in written form, on paper, in his own hands, and verbatim to the Blue Book. This is a Fact; I witnessed it myself. Additionally, the "expert" lady in his own ALJ hearing room in Columbia, MO, clearly and without question stated under oath "this man can do none of the jobs aforementioned, due to that ONE health issue, alone"... Moreover, Myer completely fails to identify when someone has MULTIPLE of said conditions, conditions which interact between and among themselves, conditions which increase the severity of each other, and are Factually Listed in the Blue Book... I should have been in the OR, having multiple postponed surgeries, instead of wasting time and life sitting in excruciating pain in front of Myer, thus postponing my own health care needs to accommodate his tight judicial schedule. Myer even noted my physical distress and pain during said hearing, on the record. Sitting before this demonstrated, incapable idiot is a waste of time, money, resources, and taxpayer dollars. Ask ALL Economists and Political Scientists! NONE will ever disagree... His clearly demonstrated inability to perform his assigned judicial functions needs immediate review by his peers, superiors, a Judicial Review Board, and The Public at large who pays his inflated and undeserved salary. He CLEARLY has his OWN agenda, which serves ONLY his interest, whatever that may be... ALL of his past cases need reviewed, each on a case-by-case basis, to which all who look will plainly see his ongoing pattern of Judicial Malfeasance. - If a Man off the Streets can see this pattern with one quick glance, then his peers should have no problem seeing same, and recommending his immediate removal from any and all judicial duties affecting taxpayer dollars and other people's lives. -- This is a fact, based in pure logic and good-old-fashioned Common Sense, AND according to The Reasonable Person Standard. **** If even ONE aspect of his ability to perform his job of function is this so-very-much in question and under such demonstrated suspicion and scrutiny by lay persons AND disability attorneys,... then EVERYTHING he touches or has ever touched now becomes suspect. This is undeniable. I cannot rate this ALJ any lower than Zero Stars, since there is no Negative scale. I only pray that eyes in positions of authority and review, and with the power to correct such egregious mistakes and malfeasance, then reverse damages caused by this judge AND remove him from service,... see these comments.

He was a great considerate kind judge when asking me questions and I felt he was through and understanding my case, I would recommend him to any one filing for disability for physical or mental conditions. He also waited on my attorney closing statement with consideration for my case.

At my hearing Judge Naggi did not seem to have any agenda other than determining a fair ruling. He displayed great patience in trying to sort through some issues with my confusing medical records, was considerate, and while I don't know yet the final outcome, I am confident by his professionalism and demeanor that he will make his ruling based on what he believes is fair and just.

I don't know how Judge Naggi can possibly have a 58% approved rate. He went out of his way to deny my disability claim. He tried to play doctor by claiming that since I haven't tried cortisone shots in 15 years then I haven't tried enough. Well Judge you are no doctor and my doctors laughed at the idea. They understand that cortisone only works in the joint it is injected into. Not an option when you have 30 joints that are affected. Furthermore, he threw out an affidavit from a doctor for no better reason than it was a clear indication of the validity of my claim. He did the same with my testimony. Since my hearing the stress from the continued uncertainty of my future has cost me my family, my home and my truck. I have to rely on others just to have a roof over my head. Judge Naggi and all the others in disability determination are ruining lives by constantly denying legitimate claims. And it is my opinion and only an opinion that they are doing so not out of ineptitude but purposefully and maliciously.

One of the best judges I have appeared before in representing clients before SSA. Very prompt (convened hearing 2 min. early!!)and very friendly. Joked with my client to put him at ease. He obviously read the file prior to the hearing. He chatted with my client for 10 minutes, then issued a favorable bench decision.

Judge Souza was very kind. He was very familiar with my case and adjourned the hearing within 20 minutes. I received a favorable decision 3 months later.

Judge Souza terminated my benefits after I'd received them for 18 years. I'm 55 yrs old and unable to work due to bipolar disorder. The SSDI psychologists reports said I was disabled as did my own Dr and therapist. He threw those reports out. Instead, he called a Dr in another state who has never seen me. That Dr said so what, she has mood swings, don't we all and laughed. This was the testimony Judge Souza went by. He also relied heavily on false information about me online and photos from my Facebook page. He has little to no knowledge of mental health issues. Having a photo of oneself smiling sitting in the sun does not mean that a person no longer has bipolar disorder. If my Facebook page was a problem then probably no one should qualify for SSDI. Judge Souza also based decision on a report done by undercover police Sent to my house under false pretenses. Sending male police officers to my house has caused PTSD. I am a rape victim and he should have considered that would be a trigger for me. This 3 year appeal process has left my health worse than when I started. The entire SS process needs to be looked at. It's damaging and the wrong people are getting terminated in order to cut the budget for the state of MO.

I felt Judge Souza was down to earth. Reminded me of my Uncle Delano in Oregon. Judge Souza is direct and reliable, respectable during the hearing. I use to be timid, shy and passive aggressive, which hurt me and my character. Sometimes, people think I am angry, when I am talking, writing letters. I can be intense and I am very passionate about the truth, my circumstances. I care about people, and their well being and for the good for others. I hope that all those people before me that had gone through the Social Security application and hearings process will go back and appeal their denial letters due to the copy of letter that the Social Security Administraton office's automatically printed out letters to prospective clients that read like this: You are expected to go to a hearing and you have a phone interview at 1:30 P.M. with Judge So and So ____________________________ and the remainder of the letter, it states that you are also to be at the hearing in person. I am the person responsible for those letters being amended due to another Judge, whom, I will not say due to Privacy laws and common sense. I will say that through my going through the a Judge_______________________I found out that, I could write a letter to our Representative, asking for assistance. I had been discriminated against me for being Homeless.

I appreciate Chief Judge Souza. I thought he was nice and down to earth. He reminded me of my Uncle back home spoke to me. Direct, respectable and honestly. Chief Judge Souza is very easy to talk with. I hope all the people that were sent denial letters by other judges, will go back and re-read the top page and realize that there was an error and to be fair, it is in your best interest when finding an attorney that he or she takes the time to serve you the best . In mentioning this, I am the person who is responsible for notifying a certain Judge that used this error against me due to my being Homeless in Seattle,WA. The formal letter requesting a hearing use to state that : There is a phone hearing/interview at 1:30 P.M. and then the date: ____________. Then below this paragraph there was space of 6 lines, then below that was wording that stated you were to also attend this appointment in person. I missed this the first couple times, I had read it, but after, a particular Judge whom I had never met, talked down to me, and treated me disrespectfully and there was no reason for that kind of behavior. I had caught the error and I am hoping from now on there will be more fairness and respectful and honest outcomes in the near future for all those who are in need. Sincerly, and Take care,

This judge kept a smile on his face the whole time I was giving testimony and 39 days later(total wait time two years) denied my claim. Multiple disc herniations with stenosis, multiple discs already fused and cauda equina. How many more spinal surgeries do I need and how much more nerve damage do I have to endure before I'm finally approved for disabilty. This is one piece of crap.

When I was sworn in to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, they should of did the same thing with this judge. No wonder the social security system is total failure. It's based on one big scam and that's truly shameful. So many people have worked hard all their lives literally breaking their bodies and paying into a system that promises at your time of need the assistance will be there. But, when the time comes, they make you wait so long that you lose your home, your car,etc..... You have a nervous break down from the anxiety of waiting and mounting medical bills. These government monkey judges don't care. They all have at least a six figure income and probably the best health insurance money can buy. And bonuses from the government for every claim they deny. So why should they have compassion for their fellow man when their living so well. People wonder why it takes at least two years for the social security disability claim process. It's not because of the case load, there are hundreds, if not thousands of judges out there. The delay comes from the fact that judge will look at a case and study it ever so slowly to come up with as many illegal loop holes and lies as he or she possibly can just to stall the case. It's these lies and deceit that have caused the social security system to crash and burn.

This judge made me feel like i was in criminal trial. She also made me come for three hearings. On appeal they found she made many many "errors". aFter one hearing I actually had a breakdown and ended up attempting suicide, ending up in the hospital. I have no problem with the facts or judge being serious. But to be so mean and rude and demeaning, to have such a contempt, it seems she has her mind made up before you come in and she hates her job, or people wiht disabilities. If I knew what I knew now I would have just called it quits for good instead of being put through this. It was / is such a horrible experience that it "feels" personal. This is only my experience, so if you are going throught the process realize you may have a different experience, so dont NOT do it because of my post.

Linda Sybrant should be removed as an ALJ due to the horrible way she treats people who appear before her. In our case it not only appeared she had already made up her mind that disability was not an option (even though the person in her court said there were no jobs that my spouse could do). We had to go to Federal Court and when they ruled that disability should be granted, Sybrant (no I won't call her a judge) said she would only grant back pay for the 2nd filing and denied 3 additional years we should have been paid for the time it took to approve the disability. I have heard others say this is the way she will try to screw you out of what is due.

Horrible mean and rude. Didn't want me to speak at all during hearing (as rep); said I was only allowed 2 more questions to ask, censored the content of my questions and no happy when objected to VE, interrupted my cross of VE. Overall, clt did NOT receive a fair and impartial hearing.

Not horrible, mean or rude. Very kind & patient with my MR client. Not my first hearing with him and I've never had a problem with him. I disagree with his decisions frequently because they're frequently unfavorable, but as far as his hearing demeanor, never a problem. I can't imagine what the 05/09/12 poster must have done to bring out that kind of behavior.
