Thank you Judge Jim Beeby .God bless you and family.A great unstand very nice disable judge Alj.Thank you for approved my disable I had been disabe sent April 2012. A Great judge for disable help disable poeple of Knoxville Tn.And ladies that help at my disable hearing and my lawyer Mr Kenneth Miller of disable lawyer of Knoxville Tn. God blrss to all .
Alj Judge Jim Beeby is a great nice unstanding judge on your disable claim. And ladies does too. Very nice judge Jim Beeby. Thank you Judge Jim Beeby of Knoxville Tn. Approved my disable . God Bless you. Ms Glenda Laboy
Had two hearings before Judge Beeby. He was courteous and considerate of the claimants, wanting to be sure they understood what was going on. He ran a logical hearing that allowed the claimants to fully tell their story. Whether he rules favorably or not, he conducted a fair hearing and, I believe, will render an honest decision. I would not mind appearing before him again.
YOU WILL NOT POST MY COMMENTS ABOUT THE JUDGE BECAUSE HE WAS WRONG IN MY CASE - I RATE HIM AS A "0" NO STARS FROM ME - I WOULD NOT LET HIM JUDGE A DOG SHOW - YOU ONLY WANT TO MAKE HIM LOOK GOOD AND THAT ALL HIS CASES ARE DONE RIGHT - NOT SO - HE WAS WRONG AND NOT MAN ENOUGH TO SAY SO - HE IS NOT A GOOD JUDGE....
Judge appeared to base his opinion not on fact and medical records but some other reason. Applying for and not getting a job is not a reason to deny disability when the facts prove otherwise. Sounds like there is more to this picture than what meets the eye. Will be researched further but sounds like retribution for something else entirely. Even the voc-rehab expert stated that these were valid disabilities and due to liabilities, the applicant could never get hired.
He did my hearing by video here in Augusta, GA he was very professional and made me feel at ease, asked questions that I felt needed to be asked, and once done he said I was approved. I am disable veteran 100% P&T so all my paperwork was there for him to read, and this was shorter hearing than I thought it would take.
I dont feel he is fair and he sure dont listen to what the person says in the court. He mainly goes on what the lady that looks up jobs says. He seemed real an compasionate, but in a real world he is not. If my mom could work she would not be fighting for her social security. She is not a druggie or drunkard,an im sorry for those who are . Although those are the ones who mainly get approved. He says my mom can work so he needs to find her a job. !! He is not a fair person.i hope the ones he approved are greatfull because i cannot believe how an why she got denied. Im glad im not him at night cause he needs forgiveness thats for sure. Especially after he does not listen. He sure acts like he does at first until you get the big white envelope in the mail. My mom is devastated. Now what can she do?? He gets no stars from me or my mom. This site marked one star by accident an it wont let me take it off. No stars at all.
very understanding and very well informed about cases for disability truly a wonderful person
a great well informed judge honest and fair
12 days after a ohone call denied. Four Dr's wrote in favor of my case. There a wasn't a fair shake in the case. Three years there not a fair shake in Tennessee. Why isn't there a zoom call or face time for a judge to see you. Is this over covid the social security let me down in more ways than I can ever put into words.

I worked for Client Centered Legal Services in SW Virginia for several years in the late 1970's and early 80's. I represented clients at their Social Security/SSI and Black Lung claims before the ALJ's at the Kingsport Office: Judge Behuniak, Overton and McArdle during that time. I learned so much and had a great deal of respect for those judges. Now working for a lawfirm in Tampa for the second time, working with claimants and loving my job.

What a disappointment to the league of ALJ! Avoid him like the plague!

Judge Bowling was so kind and compassionate. He listened and never interrupted. I found him easy to talk to and I highly respect him. Whether or not I was approved for SSDI, it doesn't matter---bottom line---he is a great ALJ and I am so happy I had him for my hearing.
Wish I could appear before him with more cases. Reasonable, calm, professional, rational and logical--whatever his decision, I believe he will make it fairly and will consistently apply the law. Know your case, though, and be prepared to adapt your presentation if he points out an issue about which he wants more information. In my most recent case, he asked me to address a past work issue at the beginning of my questioning.
I recently appeared in front of Judge Davenport. My wife suffers from severe social phobia and mental psychosis. The Judge was very kind to allow me to sit in the room with my wife. I feed the judge listend fairly to my wifes testimony. Responded well with the lawyer and VE. He asked well target hypothetical questions to the VE regarding my wifes conditon. Regardless of the outcome; I feel Judge Davenport provides a fair and non judgmental court room where the actual evidince is used and the judge does not predetermin cases.
Can you reschedule my hearing. I will need to come alone again . An attorney did not meet with me. I was told by the social security office that an attorney would do that. I have no representation. Can you reschedule my hearing ? Benny Lee Greene 423-268-0946

Mr Evans seen that I was unable to work and I am thankful because my mom has been paying my bills and her husband passed and now is unable to. These statistics are flawed in the percentages presented. They all are flawed on this site. The only numbers that reflect the true behavior of an ALJ are his or her decisions on the merits. ALJ Grissom had 213 determination on the merits of the claims. (Subtract the dismissals.) 122/213 = 57% approval rate, 43% denial rate. He is about an average ALJ in his approval rates vis a vis the national average. Comment by an experienced advocate who has appeared in front of scores of ALJs in decades of client representation.

This judge was professional and has a sense of humor. Why they call him "Grumpy" I do not know. He knows his job and the law well...

THIS judge does not listen to anything you said and when you do talk he acts like your wasting his time if you go before this judge you will be denied he makes his on laws dont go by the laws to me he is worthless
great judge --very patient and listens to the claimant--found him to be very fair
I have appeared in front of Judge Grissom many times. He is tough, but fair. He knows the rules. I think he appreciates it when the lawyer is prepared and has met with the client before court. Edwin A. Anderson of Cannon & Anderson, Attorneys. (865) 522-9000.

Mechanical. Give more weight to DDS opinions than to treating physician opinions. Highly matter-of-fact.

Goes out of his way to discredit RFCs from treating physicians. Really reaches to find credibility issues. Not a good ALJ.

This is a very cruel man. He is very sarcastic and unprofessional. He does not care what the medical doctors have to say. This man abuses his power.

I really appreciate Judge Howard's time and am very pleased with his ruling. He is a very honorable person, and the SSA is lucky to have him as a ALJ. He looked at all information/documentation pertaining to my case and made his ruling without bias.

Judge Howard is very, very comprehensive in his review of your records. The questions he asked me proved he had reviewed my records. In his written decision approving my award, on two occasions he disagreed with the opinions of the doctors who reviewed my case for SS, stating they were not in touch with my case and their opinions were without merit. Although it took 2.5 months to get my written decision, it was favorable to me.
This is an evil judge. He does not care what the treating physicians opinion may be. He is a control freak.
Seems like he doesnt care if your really disabled or not with all medical records he just doesnt care
Not a good judge at all. over looked my records and said he didn't see certain illness that were in my record. the records iv'e got showing the illness i got sent from his office !
I would like to thank judge Howard for listening to my case. he took the time to look at my medical records in my hearing and made a very very fair decision.Thank you so much.
If I could give 0 stars I would for this judge. He has no soul and no heart. He is more about numbers than an individuals true disability. It is a true shame they let him continue to hear and rule on cases. Judges like him need to be screened better because people’s lives with true disabilities depend on his rulings to be fair and just.
Extremely experienced, thorough and professional gentleman. He exudes wisdom and I'm very fortunate that he presided over my case. Thank you sir, for your compassion and for believing in me. Instead of being placed in a very precarious situation, I can now focus my attention on getting well so that I may return to the workforce. You saved my life and I will never forget it.
Judge Howard was very kind and professional. He listened to my statements. Asked me questions and waited for my answers. No matter if my case is approved or denied (praying it will be approved!) I still believe that Judge Howard truly done his job. Thank you Judge Howard.
Judge Krafsur needs to be reminded that he is not Santa Claus, and that the benefits he so liberally bestows -- at a rate unprecedented among the members of the ALJ corps, save one from Huntington, West Virginia who has recently resigned under fire and amidst multiple allegations of wrongdoing -- are rapidly bankrupting the Social Security trust fund and giving aid and comfort to Right Wing forces who seek to dismantle the public "safety net" entirely. Does anyone really believe that virtually every claimant who appears before this judge meets the statutory definition of disability?

I have known this ALJ for years too. He was an attorney for Dr. Michael Baden (who was the cheif criminal pathologist in the O.J Simpson case) who was suing former New York Mayor Ed Koch. I do not think this would qualify him as "a joke". Sounds pretty capable to me. If a judge feels people qualify for payment, should he not pay? Besides, if he pays everyone he ever sees, will it even cost the taxpayers as much as 1 military plane? The money paid to these people is most likely not sitting in a savings account, but is being spent on the necessities of life. What bothers others is if a person should get paid, and does not. Imagine if that was you or family. Best err on the side of caution i would think.

Glad the system finally caught up to this guy. He's been a menace for over 20 years. Keep in mind he's not an Article III judge, he's an Article I judge. That means he's not appointed for life. He serves at the pleasure of the Congress. This is the worst type of Judge. It's all about him. It's his own ego bestowing gifts upon his subjects. The lack of judicial temperament as evidenced by the lawsuit he filed against his superiors (funded with taxpayer money), and his recent arrest for DUI, are only the icing on the cake. I hope they make an example of him. He won't have a single moment of self reflection or remorse.

I believe this man is highly capable and has proven this time and again with his years of service in the law community. He truly believes that the system is flawed and performed his job the way that he was trained to do it. He may not make the best decision every time but he does not deserve to be stripped of all integrity for working within a flawed system the way he was trained.

This ALJ should have been looked at a long time ago. He pays 30 year olds for back pain based on one MRI of the spine that revealed no more than minimal degenerative disc disease. Takes no pain medication and does seek treatment from a doctor. He will pay a person for a mental illess just beacuse the person says that they are sad now and then and again takes no medication for this and does not see a doctor. They live normal lives perfomring normal activities and more, such as chopping wood, volunteer on EMS, riding horses, being on a baseball team and actually playing on a regular basis, etc. Medical records contain little or no medical evidence to support his decision that a person is disabled. And he will not send the person for a consutlative evaluation at the expense of the government to see if the person acutally havae the medical problems that they are reporting. This ALJ disgards the SSA rules and regulations that are there to guide the ALJ in determining if a person is disabled or not. He is such a joke. He also like to take 2 to 3 hours a day at thye gym to work out on government time, anyone else would be have to take leave time. I know this from my own personal experience working for SSA. ALJ's should be held to the same standards as the rest of the staff.

I wonder how the removal of Judge Krafsur will affect those disability claimants that recently appeared before him for a hearing, but have not had a ruling on the hearing.

Once again SSA comes down on a ALJ who they feel pays to much. While the ALJs who pay consistently pay 20 percent or less of their claims and are bullys continue on with no regard for the disabled. There is no balance with SSA.

I really miss Judge Krasfur. So nice, and so unconcerned with what ODAR told him about his allowance rates. I wish you health and enjoyment in retirement.

I had a hearing with this judge, he was very nice, listen to the testimony from the state. And the state official was also very friendly to my attorney and me, I was told unofficially that I was approved,so iI waited and waited, now I have found out the judge was found incompetent, and now I have to be heard by a nother judge, the state official made decision not the judge, I'm very confusedand upset, what do iI do
This old fool needs to be kicked out! The overwhelming majority of people collecting disability are capable of working, but just don't want to. Lazy *******, cut them all off! Get off your lazy ***** and work!
I FIND JUDGE RANDI E LAPPIN TO BE A HONORABLE KIND AND JUST PERSON IN POWER SHE REALLY LISTENS TO YOU AND IS EASY TO TALK TO SHE TOOK THE TIME TO REALLY LOOK AT MY CASE AND I AM GLAD OF THE FAIRNESS I RECEIVED I HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY DECISION YET HOWEVER NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS APPROVED DENIED OR WHATEVER I AM STILL GLAD SHE TREATED ME WITH RESPECT AS A HUMAN OF COURSE I WOULD BE HAPPY WITH A FAVORABLE DECISION HOWEVER IF NOT I HAVE TO HOLD MY HEAD HIGH AND KEEP FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT BLESSED BE TO YOU HONORABLE JUDGE RANDI E LAPPIN
She does not check the facts, she tryed to say i was working a business my wife owns when our tax papers sayes different
She put things that aren't so in her own words, and makes it look like the person is able to do more than they can, conderdicing herself to make her look good in her decision .she definitely needs someone to refresh her skills. She also makes it look like the clients are luring when the facts are there....
She denied me even though i have medical records proving that i cant work. I can barely get around.
She seemed to genuinely listen to me. I was so nervous I kept drawing blanks. Eventually she just let my lawyer question me, which put me a bit more at ease. She only asked the vocational expert 2 questions and the ve said no available jobs both times, so I'm hopeful. It was overall an okay experience considering how stressful the situation is.
You will not get your ssi or anything else you will be denied she dont give a blank about if your disabled and cant work read the review above there all telling you the turth
I had a hearing with her last Friday and she listened to me and was really kind. I believe she does what is right. If you don't need disability and are able to work then don't get mad at her for making her decision. If you are truly unable I believe she will help you.

Be careful with this ALJ and be prepared to get denied, even if you have got a good case. It does not matter if you are 55 or older, you will get denied even if your doctors say you are disabled. He does not believe what he is told by claimants.
Very kind and compassionate. He made me feel at ease. He does review your medical and helps you feel at ease. I have not received a decision as of this time , but I will say he is a fair judge.
I had a hearing with this Administrative law judge today after a 3 year appeal battle with Social Security. This judge didn't seem to have no interest in my case and appeared to be kinda rude. I would not wanna have to have another hearing with this judge. It is like he doesn't believe what a claimiant is telling him when it is all clearly in the medical evidence file.

Mean spirited. I think he actually IS part of the NJ Mafia. If he ever feels threatened to have to pay a case, he will reschedule with VE, ME, PE and anyone else he can think of. Likes others to do his dirty work for him, as he absolutely manipulates what can be asked and how it can be asked. That said, he's a tough bird and I personally like him. He does a lot of amended onset dates and closed periods. Seems to ask for pharmaceutical records frequently, so be prepared.

Judge John L McFadyen is a wonderful judge that approved me after several months. He did ask for a drug list dating back 4 years which was tough to get. Overall he is a great man.

I was very pleased with my experience with Judge McFadyen. He was very fair in listening to the vocational expert's opinion, and made his decision based on the exam by the doctor that the state initially sent me to early on in my case. I never even seemed to need all of my own records and was very surprised, pleasantly so. I also never expected such a positive experience, but I am very grateful for it. With my mental condition, I would never have been able to cope well with an awful experience as described above, and I am sorry to know that others have not had good outcomes. I waited a long time to get mine, but it was worth it in the end. Judge McFadyen, I can't thank you enough!

EXTREMLEY DISAPPOINTED WITH "JUDGE" McFadyen... WAAAY TO CONSERVATIVE. Did not seem to care too much about me or my case. It made no difference that I was homeless, many physical/mental problems despite evidence to the contrary just like the doctor at the dhs office. Judged this book by its cover. Thought because I was a man and had glasses I didn't need any help. Almost died, froze/starved to death. Worked hard for years and paid into my share of ss and stayed on the right sid of the law. Contradicted himself on the stand and said if problems were mostly mental he would approve but did no such thing. Got a letter saying denied again and would have to sue the Fed. Come to find out my "lawyer" wasn't even a lawyer. Trying to get my SSI/DI made my problems even worse. Like a war of attrition I wasted what I had left to my name to try to do this. Seems these judges are giving benefits to these punks who don't need them and never worked sit around and have kids smoke cigarettes have tattoos and commit crimes don't have a thing wrong with them and then knock those down who REALLY need help. SYSTEM TOTALLY BROKEN. Had to fix my problems in "other" ways and done it... Would have made a diffefence if I had a minority/female/hispanic judge. Voc expert was no good either. I am aware of folks with same said problems who are younger than myself who get benefits first time and who NEVER worked one day IN THEIR LIFE. Appreciate all the help the doctors/psychologist/lawyer etc have given me (eyeroll)-CHRIS
Very unprofessional..Sitting up in his chair with his eyes closed smiling while I'm hurt and trying to get help..Denied me after 3 years of waiting..I will have Lamar Alexander on the case..no one should be treated the way.
The "Judge" and "impartial Dr" had already made a decision on my case before I even entered the room. Dr wouldn't answer any of my attorney's questions, Judge didn't ask me any questions or give me a chance to speak at all. He acted like I was wasting the precious 10 mins the hearing took & only looked up at me once. I left knowing I'd be receiving a denial letter any day. Unfortunately in TN if you appeal, it goes before the same Judge! Now I have absolutely no money, will be losing my home any day, and cannot afford the necessary medical care or prescriptions and if I appeal but haven't complied with my Dr's treatment I will be denied for that.
This judge is so problematic that when I was searching for a new lawyer majority of attorneys wouldn't even take my case when they heard it was McFadyen. He is a jerk. He didn't ask me anything either, most of case taken up with vocational expert and him what jobs I could do. I was told by my attorney that because McFadyen has had 3 back surgeries he has no sympathy for any one else. You have to have had as least as many surgeries as him for him to consider you. Yes well we all don't have health insurance or paid sick leave OR a job to come back to after recovery time,do we ?? He is rude, impatientband frequently over ridden by appeals Court. Good luck if you get him because you're STUCK with him!
Just what I expected, when you go to court to argue something like this, one has to be prepared to prove it. I was ready, but at the same time, I was never 100% sure how it went because he is hard to read. Upon getting the notice in the mail he described in detail why he approved my disability. I think he is fair, but a word to the wise, answer clearly, truthfully and be prepared.
Pompous, arrogant, ***. thinks he is God. Worst judge in entire building. May he **** in eternal fire.
I got the feeling that she had just been given a performance review saying she had been approving too many cases. She was incredibly adept at ignoring all the favorables, while seizing on the unfavorables.

The Honorable Judge Katie H. Pierce is a very fair and impartial judge. Listens very carefully with extreme patience.
I had my hearing before the Honorable Judge Katie H. Pierce on February 26, 2019. I feel as though she really listened to the medical evidence Praying for an approval due to health.
I love your blog.. very nice colors & theme. Did you create this website yourself? Plz reply back as I’m looking to create my own blog and would like to know wheere u got this from. thanks

Great judge, took the time to listen to me and was very understanding.
Is one of the best judges I have seen listened to me.and was very concerned about me thanks
I have suffered for years with various conditions and I poured my heart out to him. I felt he was very understanding and felt my pain. Thought I was finally going to get help this time but didn't happen. I'm very disappointed in his "Unfavorable Decision" for my last hearing. I cannot work and hadn't worked for years now. I have multiple places I go for medical help but obviously it wasn't enough. Conditions I have are approvable under the Disability act. The vocational advocate played a huge roll in my denial I think as she believes everyone can work, no matter their medical conditions. I would much rather be able to work and have money and insurance than to have to depend on family and friends to help me when they can. I guess you have to be on your deathbed in order to get approved. I have been denied for years but I am not gonna appeal his decision as you have to wait two years to get another denial from Falls Church, Va. I am disabled and I will continue to refile new applications til I get approved or die,,whichever comes first. Although, I have had friends who have died while awaiting a decision. This is uncall for. How is one suppose to live during such a long process? I need medical help and because I have no insurance, I can't get help. Any solutions?
I had my hearing 15 days ago and am waiting for decision. Judge Pilkey seemed to listen to me, was aware of my medical records and professional. It is hard to wait but hoping for approval, but .... mentally trying to be prepared either way.
How can gov and their judges approve people that have never worked. But punish those that have worked and paid in , give the ones that havent money that others have paid in !most work their buts off pass dont even get what they pay in but government gives to dead beats ,drunks dope head s, and obeise ,or copd these are their own fault !never mind forgot its usa
He did not listen , was unpredictable when he and the other morons were not i nterested !if i had smoked all my life drank all my and never worked the moron s ! Will approve you ! Assbackward s usa !go in there and lie youll get it tell truth the hell with ya !no stars !sittn there makin 6 figures !
Had my hearing with judge pottinger on 9/25/18.. .i have anxiety and several health issues .Been waiting 3 years and was terrified. He made it a comfortable experience. Just be honest and he seems like a fair judge who wants to listen to your problems..thank you your honor for listening..
Seemed like a good caring man that was concerned about my issues. Had my hearing on 9.25.18...ill update when recieve decision..
The system is so screwed up. If you have worked all your life and payed in, you won't get it. I think they pocket cash when they deny. He's not a fair judge.
My hearing was today with Judge Pottinger. I admit I was a nervous wreck and having a bad day as far as my symptoms and illness go. He was very pleasant and kind and explained everything. I feel he took into consideration my health, records, answers, and so on. I won’t have an answer for some time but in my personal experience he seems fair and genuine.
I had my hearing about 2 weeks ago and she was nice and straight forward. If you get this judge she will treat you with dignity and with respect. Win or lose she was fair and made me feel comfortable and I really felt like she cared. A very nice lady indeed.

Thank you for ur time and being understanding and very nice. God bless you!
This judge was professional but compassionate and seemed to take a genuine interest in my case. I will be forever thankful for having this understanding and fair human being presiding over my case. Thank you for everything!
Judge Richardson saw my case about 3 to 4 weeks ago, and approved me for Social Security, however my file is still sitting in her office "pending"...I'm praying that someone will see this and get this to the appropriate office so that I can recieve my Money..I have been unable to work for 2 years just had a stem cell transplant in May and about to be evicted for the 3rd time...please if you read this I need someone somewhere to help push this through..Thank you for reading and May God bless you
Thank you for your time . you were very nice and understanding to me.
She is a great judge very helpful and thorough

Denied mine when occupational therapist said there would be no work I am an epileptic with ptsd and anxeity and no medication because I can not afford it.
Good judge listen to everyone an fair thank you
I thought he was fair , but the system is flawed. I can eat sleep and feel right. I am afraid to go to the doctors because when i go , all they want to do is give me more shot and they have to freeze my foot before they give it, it only last for about 28 days and you can only have them 3 times a year. after you have them shots you get sharp pain in your foot , that is the side affect, so i don't show up for my appointment not because i am not in pain but cause i am very scared of the shot. but my lawyer told me not to say much at the hearing . so what do you do. so on that note i got a unfavorable judgement. i have not been able to get out of bed for the last 4days since i got the notice. this is the first day i have got up. I have been thinking how in the world am i going to work!!! i also have fibromyalgia also my body is weak and aches. nobody seems to understand what it is . I wish everyone could understand it. you are not in a lot of pain but you are a scarecrow lifted out in the rain and need oiled very very badly , you are STIFF ,hard to move you get very restless , can't sit ,can't lay or can not stand for a long period of time. i have been trying to work not like the rest to just sit and do nothing . then they are the ones who get it, then you seen them out working under the table.. system if not right . the people who try get shafted. it took me 3 hours to type this., due to my arms get week but they say i am able to work. it is not the judges fault it is the system. they should have people come in for a full physical , activities, heart monitors and everything to see really how week people are. not do some 2 minute evaluation at their office. when you sit in front of a judge you are nerves and you have a lawyer telling you not to speak much at all.
i can't eat, sleep or feel right. i had a typo error in wording in my last post. sorry. I also have other problems that are minor compared to those i mentioned in last post. I feel so useless.
well i filed a appeal 2 months ago. Now last week i received a us direct express card. my understanding that is for ss benefits to go on. Well i thought my appeal went through , and i was going to start receiving benefits. the emotion of relief came over me. Well i have been waiting for a letter. nothing , so called my lawyer she knew nothing, so i called social security to find out what is going on. she said i have NOT been approve that the card was just send for just incase the appeal went through. well my heart dropped in my lap!!!! why would someone send something if you were NOT approved yet?? this gave me false hope, well i can no longer handle this anymore. this is too hard for me. ss needs to change this , don't send out the cards unless approved. i don't have no one to help me through this , my husband left 5 years ago when my health went down hill, needles to say i am still married but have no clue to where he is. so i have just about lost everything. i had to give my grandkids back to their mother because i can not afford and because my emotional state. too much for me to handle. i hope she gets off the drugs, but this is sad , i had no choice. PS people can wait for a card if they are approve .
Judge Riley is obviously very understanding. He waited 3 hours for someone to show up for their hearing. He was very patient and nice with my attorney and I. I do not have my decision yet.

What a joke. Draws incorrect inferences maliciously. Totally mean-spirited, and seems to have quite a Napoleonic complex. Ignores or impugns evidence that should lead to a clear approval.

This judge was very fair.... He let me speak and then questioned a VE , who said I couldn't work.. I received my fully favorable decision in 2 weeks.

After the hearing, and before I said anything, my own attorney apologized for the judge's treatment of me, stating that he had never seen the judge do that before. During the hearing, it was clear that the judge had already made up his mind before I had walked into the room, something my attorney said was commonplace for this judge. Also, the judge totally dismissed the expert testimony of medical professionals. Lastly, the judge presented three hypotheticals to a Vocational Expert that included none of elements or limitations of my medically documented disabilities! So you tell me, how was the VE supposed to respond?! And consider this... there is a reason why this judge has the LOWEST approval percentage of eight judges for this office.

This judge was very fair. I was made to feel very welcomed as soon as I entered the room. He greeted me and introduced the other two ladies that were in the room as well. The whole process took maybe 15 to 20 minutes. Although I was very very nervous before I went in but the atmosphere in the room was welcoming and inviting and which calmed my fears greatly.
This is one of the rudest judges I have ever appeared before. He is a disgrace and is incompetent. Full of himself because he wears a robe. When will the Social Security Administration remove abusive judges? A rating of zero is too good for him.
Judge Seigel started our hearing early...always a plus in my book! He gave odd hypos, I thought, but a lot of them, and they eventually got to where they needed to be. I will reserve judgement on how that goes until I see the decision. Very dry, pleasant presentation. Will put your client at ease well enough.

Judge Seigel was very polite and courteous, he handle himself in a professional and swift manner. A man who seems to know his job. I can only hope he understood my dire need for disability.

Very friendly judge. He knew my case inside and out, ask many questions. Was very nice and considerate of the fact you may need to stand or move around to be comfortable. Really liked this judge and I felt comfortable in front of him.
I had my ssa hearing at 9:00 this morning , june 12th. Judge TODD SPANGLER Preceded over my case and was on time and very professional the whole time. He touched base on every issue i had. He was very blunt and to the point but would also explain why! The Vocational expert and court recorder was also nice and professional! I admit to being real nervous when i first went in the room but Judge SPANGLER was pleasant talking and calm which made me feel the same way after the hearing started. So my experience with Judge TODD SPANGLER was a very good one! GOOD LUCK ! I HOPE YOU GET JUDGE SPANGLER ALSO !

Watch how evidence is characterized in your case he does not seem to read file prior to hearing so you will need to educate about the case AT hearing. He is friendly but that is fatal to your case if you underestimate what he knows about the file. When going to VE in GRID cases watch as he does not have sedentary evaluated he will just address medium and light work even though there are NO transferrable skills.

Based on our experience ALJ does have a tendency to come to the hearing without a strong handle on the facts of the case and rep may need to get him back on track. He will do most of the questioning and won't usually ask for opening or closing.

Very respectful and knoligible judge
I had my hearing with Judge Spangler 26 Jun 17, he is very professional and quite knowledgeable about your ailments. He asks very pertinent questions and is always on point, he presents a very calm demeanor which quickly puts you at ease. I was a nervous wreck and fatigued and had a tendency to go off subject a bit...he is a patient judge. Thank you and have a great day
Todd Spangler is an ***** of the 1st degree. Doesn't know anything about medical issues and should be fired. He does not go through all medical records as he should, he knit picks and uses what he wants to use.
But I have another opinion please refer to <a href="[Link deleted]More
I just had my hearing today. I have not received a decision yet obviously, so the outcome is not impacting my review. Judge White was super friendly and personable. He was sensitive in discussing health issues that one can often be self-conscious about but are obviously a key factor regarding a claim. (I.E. in my case super morbid obesity)I feared that I would made to feel inferior and bothersome at my hearing, but instead both Judge White and the vocational expert validated the concerns addressed in my claim and I felt respected by both of them. Judge White seemed knowledgeable about my claim which clearly indicated that he had truly taken time to review it prior to the hearing. He was patient and allowed my attorney to express her input regarding my claim to her satisfaction. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my interaction with Judge White.
