Does not meander about but instead efficiently gets down to the heart of the issue of the claimant's case. Judge Alegre is a very fair and knowledgeable in my experience as an attorney rep.
Her approval rating must be an error. She may seem nice, but she NEVER grants.

Judge Beers scoffed, then scolded my lawyer during my hearing for reading from a law book to ensure that a technicality we wanted to point out was recognized. It made me feel like she had a personal vendetta against him prior to my case. I had a sick feeling in my gut after that & I knew I'd be denied. Just as I suspected- Denied! I'm literally unable to use my shoulders to move or raise my arms, my hands lock up into fists, & I can barely walk from the Lupus & Fibromyalgia that's wrecking my body. But now I have to find a way to work- SOMEWHERE. I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm terrified & want to kill myself sometimes because I see no real solutions for me. She has ruined my faith in the system.
It is so terrible when you truly really need help from disability and have to fight like hell to get it and then still get denied. Your health gets worse because you don't have health insurance, and depression starts in. Judge H Beers was nice to my face, but came back with a quick judgement. She was wrong on a few things when it came to information from my doctors and my MRI. Maybe she should look into things better than being so judgemental. This is one of the reasons why this world is falling apart. It's because where people should care, they don't. I can't even give her a rating because it would be a lie.
SHE IS POSSIBLY THE WORST JUDGE OUT THERE. SHE IS MORE CONCERNED WITH HER FAKE EYELASHES THAN THE CLAIMANTS.
My case came before Judge Belli. He was argumentative and never called on either of the two experts at the hearing. He did not give me a chance to answer his questions, and acted as though I was not answering his questions, when I was doing my best to do so. I see he has the lowest approval rate in all of California, maybe even the nation, so I don't have much hope of a good outcome. I don't want to say this hearing was a waste of time, but I certainly did not feel as though I got a fair hearing. I think his denial of my case was a foregone conclusion before I ever stepped into proceeding.

He's a miserable excuse for a human being. He routinely talks over the claimant, asks leading questions, interrogates rather than questions, and is condescending to counsel. He's a poster child for someone who apparently deplores claimants, and has no semblance of trust or compassion. Other than the paycheck and perhaps his inability to prove competent in the private sector, he has zero business being an ALJ. Retire soon; you're a disgrace to the legal process.
A horrible self-absorbed human being. All the time during my disability hearing he exhibited extremely unprofessional behavior, and hardly asked me more than 2 questions. I waited a year and a half for the hearing date, and was excited it finally was here. Living with the horrors of my medical condition on a daily basis I was willing to answer all of the questions I THOUGHT might be asked. My lawyer said he is always like this, which wasn't what I would call a ringing endorsement. I then waited 10 months AFTER the hearing before I found out my case had been denied. So I guess putting someone's life on hold for almost 3 years is par for the course. What a complete waste of time. Judge Peter Belli has the lowest approval rating in the state if not the nation. If you ever get him, I will pray for you.
You took the words out of my mouth. I have been fighting for ten years. And he denied me twice!!!! I have multiple sc!erosis, three auto immune diseases to include a incurable pigmentation modular synovitis in my knees, migraines, fibromyalgia, cfs/me, non diabetic neuropathy, passouts caused by the m.s. I have hydradenitis supporativa, hypothyroid, extreme depression and anxiety from all this. Top it off I have arthritis in my neck and lower back with a bulging disc that fired up the sciatica pain. I hate my life and that ******* made it worse. I hate that man. Is there a negative five on stars?
He discriminates against people with mental illness. He takes his anger out on my clients who have a hard time comprehending what's going on. Out of all the judge's I have worked with in my lifetime he is absolutely the most unprofessional. He will face his own judgement with God.
I have extreme diarrhea. I have had it since 2014. I've also had and still have other medical issues, but the diarrhea keeps me up at night. I mess myself 2-3 times a week if I manage to sleep more then an hour and a half at a time. I had a hearing before the judge. It took him over six months after the hearing to deny me. Telling me my illness would not last longer than a year. I've had it since 2014. I still have it. He didn't listen to me. He talked over me. He didn't give a damn about me. More than likely I will become homeless. He thinks I can work. I'd love to work. Anybody want to hire me? I've been applying for jobs every single day since my denial almost a year ago. I can't even get an interview. Maybe the judge will hire me. Keep in mind I will spend half the day in the bathroom, I will fall asleep at my desk. You go judge belli. you rock.

Judge Belli approved my case after waiting for two years. Just make sure you have supporting documents from your Doctor's office. He is no joke. Make sure your lawyer has his up to date records. My lawyer did not have his stuff together on me. My lawyer was also ruled to the Judge. So I feel if you don't have your supporting information from Doctors you have a hard time. Go very prepared and be respectful and honest. He already has read your medical records he just has to be sure. So many people fake their illness. He is a judge and see many people. So he has a eye of knowledge. Good blessings.
Although I do not know the outcome of my hearing, I am appreciative of being able to have a fair hearing. I felt Judge Blume fully listened to me, put me at ease as he saw how nervous I was. I felt respected and valued for my years of work. No matter the outcome I can honestly say that I had a fair hearing and was able to present all of my difficulties and struggles with employment.

Very Learned, well studied all the Disability Laws. But more importantly apply these laws in right perspective in positive manner. GOD BLESS THIS SOUL
I feel its important to look at all aspects of a case. in my case i feel he listened to what i had to say although noone can ever understand what another person goes through on a daily basis. i have worked the last 18 years for the same company and really wished i could still. i do feel that he tried to understand and looked at all my reports from doctors to try and make a fair decsion. i have not found out what that is but he did ask questions and i did my best to answer them. he also ask the vocational specialist questions, so i would say he was fair in the way he handled my appointment. ive been more upset with the ssi doctors that ive had to go see, i feel they need to be looked into because you see them for a couple minutes and for me they didnt even know what was wrong or why i was there, the doctor thought because i was missing parts of four fingers that was the reason, even though my body was jerking uncontrollably and thats why i was there. i did tell this to the judge and he was very kind about letting me know i would not be judged that way in his office, so i would just like to thank him no matter what his descion is at least he was kind to me and listened to all i had to say. so again thank you for that.
Just want to say, this judge is so kind and fair, I just cant say enough about him, I don't know how the claim turned out right now, but just a very good judge, and person. SSA is lucky to have Judge Blume.
Everyone speaks so nice because they are the ones who got approved as for me fighting for 2 years went down the drain again.
Judge Blume please call me and review my case.
Good judge. Very thorough, fair. Goes the extra mile to put nervous claimants at ease.
This Judge is the worst!!! She is not fair! She denies credible and truthful witnesses' if they do not agree with her impression. She does not use the reports that are signed under oath if they do not agree with her interpretation. As a witness she called me a liar, incredible. I should sue for defamation of character. I have lived a long life and never lied for anyone!!!
I am writing concerning your mistake with my son's turn down for ssi. #1 not enough back ground of employment. He was born with crushed vains in his brain. Written from a doctor of a mri. Written prof. #2 Cause trouble in hospital. Do to mental illness/ alcolo. #3 Alcolo a cover up for his mental illness. Something to ease his mental problems. #4 Over looked he is bypolar. Written info on your report. #5 Has seizures whrn not drinking. #6 Blaming his problems on alcolo. #7. Proven paper work that he has ADHD, but blaming again the achol. #8 You said he has high school education. He was kicked out of like 6 high schools, got Ged on his own. #9 You said he has no past relevant work. Because is has mental problems. He is truly metally ill. #10. Without looking at anything else you said alcoho was his problem. Check everything out and you will see you just used this to make a excuse not to give him ssi. Everything you said that he couldn't get ssi, was every reason you should have given him ssi that he deserves. Now he will go back on the streets after going to rehab. He was clean for 45 days before rehab. Me and his mother still dealt with a serious mental problems the same day he went into rebab. It was the worst day ever. But you blamed everything on drinking. Mentally ill people do make honest mistakes. Humans aren't perfect, specially metally people. I know, my father was mentally ill and my brother dies from mental illness. I also have mental illness and am looking for mental help today. But I am not crazy enough to see the mistakes you did turning my son down. Please help him.
Judge Carol L. Buck-Sacramento-Please do not delete. Nothing bad is said.I am only saying the truth that needs to be put out there. Items used to turn my son down. I am Leonard Leonardo father of Nicholas Leonardo. My son had a MRI and other brain scans. Dr. Lum from Roseville, was his doctor. It showed he needed a operation on his brain. He had crushed vains in his brain. Judge Buck, said it was because of alochol. He was born with it, most likely. He has ADHD, which causes great problems on the work place. But, Judge Buck, said it was caused from alochol. He is BI-POLAR and has problems there also. Judge Buck, said it was caused by alochol. He has a high education so he is ok the judge said. He was kicked out of every high around. He finally got a GED. He doesn't have a work history. He has tryed very hard to work in his life. He only had to work 6 hours a day and recieve underumployeement for 40 hours. He couldn't even do that. You didn't read what the doctors said, just the part about alochol. He did go to emergency alot of sizures, but blame it all on alochol. He gets sizures when he does not expect them. You blame everything on the alcohol, which was there to cover up the problems he has in life. I know a woman who got ssi for being to fat. Let's be fair. My son is in rehab and still suffers everyday, in his brain to try and make it from day to day. He has not drank for over two months. He still has all his problem, but still you can blame it all on drinking. Please help him.
I have represented clients before ALJ Buck many times over the last few years. I have found her to be fair, thorough, and compassionate toward claimants. She is also one of the few judges in CA who will issue favorable bench decisions, telling claimants during a hearing that she finds them disabled (provided obj. evidence supports this finding).
If anything good has been said of this...."woman", it must have come from herself, posing as someone else. She is the most hateful and biased judge one could possibly go in front of. She will not even let a person finish answering a question that she asked...if it is not the answer she wants to hear, forget whether or not it is relevant. I can just imagine the suffering she has caused many people who were deserving of their disability, of which they paid into, not her. She acts as if a person must beg to get back what they have paid into for the very reason they are there to try to get it. It is a crying shame that Americans must sit in front of an idiot such as Carol Buck and grovel for what they have paid into. It is not her money, and it is not the government's money. It belongs to those who paid into that fund, not Congress to waste on pet projects. If not for the lady from the Disability Action Center who was there to try and help me...I would have got up and walked out on this hateful judge.
I have not received a decision yet; although, I'm not sure why there isn't more positive comments? She seemed to be a very fair and empathetic judge. I have a good amount of optimism that things will work out in my favor, eventually!
Judge Carol Buck listen to my statement which I have ask people in the last 5 years to do so! Judge Buck completely listen very well, with mu documentation. All Of The Favorable Comments About Carol Buck Are Totally Fake. This Is One Mean Woman, And I Say That Even Though She Approved My Disability. I Don't Feel That She Approved Me Because She Wanted To, Or Even Because My Records Proved I Was Disabled. I Think It Was A Roll Of The Dice And She Had To Approve At Least Some That Come Before Her. Very Nasty Spirited Woman.

After a very long waiting period, numerous medical records and anguish I was denied by this judge. I had enough supporting evidence to prove that I’m disabled. A very lengthy denial letter was mailed however it didn’t address all of my conditions. It even referred to me as the wrong gender. I’m very disappointed in her decision and documentation. I feel discriminated.

This judge doesn’t read all supporting documents provided. After waiting for two years, I was denied. I feel discriminated against. All of my medical records were provided but all weren’t read. I’m writing a final appeal against her decision.

Would the statics be more reflective of the real world if this particular judge and judge Morris' decisions were removed from the data matrix? I firmly know that individuals such as this DO SCEW THE DATA, but we as citizens can't get rid of them any more than we can get rid of the WV Judge which started this controversy in the first place. What I do know is that both extremes are hurtful to the SSA objectives.

Fairly negative ALJ as reflected in his decisions. I agree that both extremes aren't good but the WV ALJ didn't start this controversy. SSA knows exactly what it is doing and is no hurry to investigate the ALJ's who pay 20-30 percent of their claims or less.

the Honorable Judge David Buell of the Social Security Addministratuon is one of the most passionate judges i have had the pleasure of sharing ny hardship with and i prayer that as hard as it is to believe he must uphold his duty and grant ssi to everyone equally which means there must be proof to support a disability that are used to base qualifications on these I'm sure were set long befor he became the. Honorable judge David buek
This judge appeared to have his mind made up before the hearing. He said I was lying and making my symptoms seem worse than they really are. He said I have an account on LinkedIn which makes me look quite good (who tries to make themselves look bad there?) He also found an account on Eharmony and said people with depression don't want to date. He clearly has NO Knowledge of mental illness.
I can't really give him any stars yet, but I am concerned about Judge Buell. My wife has evidence and proof of unable to do any type of sedentary work, my lawyer asked for a On the Record review and he is stating that a hearing is required. I don't know why the system is setup to play the people that are disabled and everyone that really isn't disabled can get it with a flip of a switch. My wife isn't working and yet have to wait 15 months for a hearing. It's stuff like this that I really don't believe in our government.
He had his mind made up before I limped in the door based off of my age. The denial was incomplete and he contradicted himself 6 times. Think it is time for him to retire.

I just had my hearing before the judge this week. He was compassionate and kind in my case.He seemed truly willing to hear my side.I await my decision but know I have gotten a fair hearing no matter what the decision is.This judge does not talk down to you but talks to you.I believe he knows when a person is not being honest.People need to realize honesty is the best policy.
This applies to all of the judges but A Tyrant will always find a pretext for his Tyranny.
Honestly this judge was horrible. When he denied me he pretty much said that I was overdramatic and not credible at all as well as my cardiologist. He is a joke! My lawyer and my therapist were very upset because they know that I am legitimately sick unfortunately my age was probably a factor.

Judge Phillip E Callis was a understanding judge that gets down to the details of your disability. He gives you the opportunity to get your point across in explaining your reasons why you can't work. If you get the judge you are in the right enviroment of getting what you deserve.

This judge gets no stars. The whole experience was awful. The man just spent the entire time asking me question after question about how I spend my days. AT NO POINT DID HE ASK ME FOR A STATEMENT OR TO EXPLAIN MY SITUATION. It was a waste of three years of my life.
The staff and security there make it unfriendly to the disabled. Wouldn't let me wear my prescription glasses to walk to the hearing room, treat you like a case number. I was so exhausted and in pain I had to lay down on the floor in front of the judge and adjust my spine so I could continue. Judge had the nerve to say I showed the opposite i moved to much! Sorry that disabled people have to deal with vicious litigators to get there benifits another sign California is The Failed State of the Union. This Judge is a *****!
Judge Duran was very thorough and asked many questions some of which were very personal and in my view had nothing to do with my disability, maybe it was to establish credibility? I answered every question truthfully and as accurately as I could recall, and if I couldn't recall I didn't hesitate to admit it. in my opinion He is a tough but fair Judge.
Great judge. Very friendly and good at putting distressed claimants at ease.

Judge Carol A Eckersen was GREAT! No lawyer would take our case, but Judge Eckerson took the time too look deeper in to the case then anyone has ever even offered. She sent us copies of documents that we didn't know existed. Her final judgment was in our favor, because she took the time to seek the truth. Thank you so much Judge:)
I very much agree with these reviews. You will not find a more fair judge. My case is not a medical denial but much more complex and unique. She did not rush to judge me or give an immediate no because of the obscurity of my claim. Instead, she has taken time to review and make an informed decision. I am giving this review pre-decision because I know I will be disappointed if what I’m expecting happens, so I wanted to do this review in all fairness because that’s exactly how Judge Eckersen treated me. She gave me the utmost attention and respect and I was very grateful for that after reading some of these reviews. I just really wish there was some allowance made for stay-home moms in regards to eligibility credits.
I had an hearing with Judge Carol Eckerson on March 9, 2019. I have been through alot appeals and reconsideration. Judge Eckerson listen too my case and my attorney Philips Disability was their. My hearing was the most fairness and awesome. She did an awesome job. Before the end of the day from the Social Security Administration i was granted. Thank you for listening too me. Thank you for taking the time too do considered my pass denials....
No matter the outcome, thanks for your professionalism and real world demeanor.

I wish for Judge French to just for one day live the nightmare my life has been before I appeared in front of her but especially after I received her decision to deny my SSI claim. I was in the ER two days later for wanting to kill myself. If only some of these cold, heartless judges were forced to truly understand the horror of living a life ruled by mental illness...being suicidal for a year...having to live on $450 a month...enduring horrific side effects from psychotropic drug after drug...and then being denied the pittance of SSI you've waited years for.
I wish for Judge French to just for one day live the nightmare my life has been before I appeared in front of her but especially after I received her decision to deny my SSI claim. Thank you, Judge French.
I had to wait five months until my decision and was surprised by her decision. She was fair in her comments during the hearing. Thank you Judge French for taking the time to listen to what I had to say.
Very nice and patient judge I was really blessed to have gotten a really great attorney and judge God is good all the time.
There are so many nice things I can say about juge Sara A Gillis . Im blessed that I mywelf also have had a great remarkable judge that took me from a sight that I didnt see a hope She is a great blessing in my life and my family.I want to thank her for believing in me. For know I can see the sight. Thank you Sara A. Gillis.
I was so thankful when my attorney gave me the news before my hearing that my ALJ was someone "very measured, very fair." I mean, who wouldn't want their hearing judge to be measured & fair? Sara Gillis turned out to be that & more! And while I haven't yet received a decision in my case, I wanted to post this, if for no other reason than to ease someone's fears. The unknown can be the hardest part of the whole appeal process, and I'm thankful that Sara Gillis was my hearing judge.
Excellent experience with this judge

Due to a workplace injury I ended up in Judge Gillis' courtroom seeking Social Security Disability. In the workers compensation system nobody cares about your health, your feelings, or your case. I was expecting something similar. I was absolutely shocked that Judge Gillis wanted to hear from me. She asked me many questions. By the third or fourth question I realized she had really done her homework and reviewed my file. She allowed me to answer her completely and listened to my responses. She comes across as someone who may actually care about her job and the people she encounters. In this era that is something very special. Disabled people seem to be the forgotten marginalized group. Judge Gillis definitely sees you and listens.

Very unfair! God will fix it! I was denied my benefits after putting more than 45 years into the work force. Disabled, denied, but not forgotten by God!

I'm posting this feedback BEFORE we've gotten a decision from this judge, so you'll know that my comments are not biased by his decision. I found Judge Grooms to be well-prepared, attentive and caring. He wanted to hear from the person with disabilities, not just the lawyer representing her. He was formal, but that's his job. He made sure that everything was on the record so that there would be complete information, should his ruling need to be reviewed. I'm optimistic that he heard what was said, so it will be interesting to see if he is able to find a ruling to match the requests. Regardless, I believe Judge Grooms will be a fair judge and appreciated his courtroom manner.
I recently went before Judge Grooms and found him and his court personnel to be kind, gracious and courteous. This judge is every bit of what a judge should be the process was handeled in a strickly professional and straight foward judicious manner. I found him respectful specific and looking for the same kind of answers. I was to articulate my disability limitations and to give an explanation and example on each point. If anyone had problems with this judge I would suggest you look towards your attorney and not the judge. Every "I" must be dotted and "T" must be crossed your paperwork MUST be in order along with medical documention that matches up. As for Judge Odell Grooms he is NOT a prejudge man I did NOT sense for moment that he looked down on me in any way!
I was unable to get a lawyer for my Social Security case, so I decided to represent myself at my hearing. Judge Grooms was patient and respectful. I was confused by some of the terminology used by Social Security, and he was very helpful in making sure I was using the correct words to make my case. Even though I was incredibly nervous, I felt like he was willing to take as much time was needed to make sure he had all the facts and that made me feel much more at ease. Ultimately he gave me a fully favorable ruling. I attribute the success of my case to his willingness to listen, engage in dialogue when he didn’t understand my argument, and go over all the facts.
Thank you so much for your kindness and thoughtful consideration. I truely appreciate the hard work that you do everyday.

I thought your ruling was not well thought out, lacking substance, and missing clear points. I think such a ruling, should take careful consideration, instead of a quick glance and obvious "jump" to the wrong conclusion.

She is a total nightmare. She wasn't fair, nor courteous. She was actually downright rude. She barely allowed me to speak. She interrupted me consistently. I was in horrific pain that day and she yelled at me by saying (and I quote) "What is wrong with you, I don't understand!" I'm disabled. That's what was wrong! She is completely unprofessional and emotionally abusive. I felt worse after our hearing. I actually had to go to the ER after that hearing. Thank the Heavens I was a blessed with a sympathetic judge at my Remanded Appeal Hearing afterwards. KERINS MADE ME WAIT AN ADDITIONAL TWO YEARS on top of the one and a half years I had already been waiting. If your case is to be heard before this woman... Be prepared to wait another 2-3 years. Run for the hills. Request another ALJ. It may be time for Kerins to retire. Someone in upper management or government needs to take a serious look at how she handles her cases. Sincerely, Treated Badly
Judge king was well prepared; he had clearly reviewed the entire file and had read the pre-hearing brief that I wrote. He was courteous to the claimant and he was organized and thoughtful in his questioning. I have no idea how he will rule but I felt my client had a fair and comprehensive hearing.
I had my hearing 07/06/2016 I still don't know what the decision will be but I can say that this judge was willing to listen to me and my concerns and weather or not I get a favorable decision from judge Knowdell he's a very good judge as he's the 2nd judge I've seen as last year I had Judge Blume and honestly comparing both it seems as if Blume didn't take his time or either he had way too many cases to do and gave any decision and with Knowdell he actually listened to me lIke no one has and with my situations I couldn't help but cry cuz he made me feel like their is at least one person that honestly understands what I'm going thru. I give Judge Knowdell 100 stars regardless if he denies me...I give him that amount of stars jus for his time and service he gave me ! Valerie R.
This judge was both professional and genuine, he asked the right questions, so simple replies were possible. I was very nervous prior to hearing, but things ran smoothly, this judge made the process comfortable.
Honorable Judge Christopher Knowdell read through my medical record, etc. I felt heard during my hearing and wept during my reading of his judgment, he knew!
This judge is good he listens and asks very reasonable questions. I felt he understood my situation. And was very respectful .
I had my hearing yesterday and do not know my results just yet. Obviously I hope for a favorable decision but even without that I am grateful that I had this judge. He took the time to be thorough and listened to my entire situation. I have read that other judges can be quite difficult and mean, I am very happy I had this judge, regardless of my outcome.
My name is Ryan Steven Mentier I live in Holly Michigan I have been waiting for a Decision on my case I have been living in a tent for a few months now and have been waiting on a yes or no on my disability case for 7 months now.I try to call and I get no answer my layer can't get threw eather
Most insensitive and basically unfair judge i have ever read about. Ignored important info and did not consider all of the facts. I feel sorry for anyone that gets her as a judge. I won't even give her 1 star
She’s a joke the vocational expert said there were no jobs I could do and she still denied me I’m appealing.
This Judge is Misleading , and dishonest plays the game well and is hurtful in my opinion to society. If the system is truly broke, you might want to start with her in considering why this is. Integrity is missing, Cruelty is verified , A none independent thinker and irrational in her decision making. (poster child for +++) if you would like to witness Orwell 1984 go listen to a disembodied VE, over a phone while trying to keep your head up to stare at a TV to communicate with this Judge, That alone should tell you how much of a criminal everyone looks like in the eyes of our GOV. It is a Humiliating and repugnant experience to be dragged in front of a hearing disabled only to be Harmed with a denial and being called a liar by someone who expressed the cruelty , and carelessness of the beast system well. Pray for our Country.. I mean it, because praying for just the people is not enough.
Judge Myers reviewed my file and denied my disability case without reviewing the file's medical evidence. After notification of his mistake, he again denied and ignored medical evidence submitted. He contradicts himself in his decision and totally ignores the medical documentation submitted.

I'm unsure whether Judge Myers reads these posts but either way I would just like to sincerely thank you for your decision about my case. I could imagine there are numerous cases in which the claimant tries to pull a fast one & just wants to get out of working but I truly am unable to work in my condition & I greatly appreciate you acknowledging that my disabilities are in fact real. I wish I wasn't in this situation, I was always a very hard worker & would give anything to have my life back to where it was over 4yrs ago, but unfortunately, physically & emotionally my body won't allow it. So again, I'm truly thankful for your decision to allow to get the help I need!

Daniel J. Myers has served as an ALJ for Social Security since September 2009. For nine years prior to that, he was a hearing officer presiding over special education disputes throughout Pennsylvania. Prior to becoming a hearing officer, Mr. Myers represented the Pennsylvania Department of Education in administrative, state and federal courts. Judge Myers also has served as an attorney in Washington, D.C. for the U.S. Department of Education, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and the U.S. Department of Labor. Judge Myers received his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School in 1984 and a B.A. *** laude from Bradley University. He is a past president of the James S. Bowman Chapter of the American Inns of Court, a certified mediator, and a frequent speaker in special education and administrative law training programs.
Most judges lead you to believe they are smarter than you and Mr, myers is not an exception. This worthless ALJ completely ignored most of my medical evidence, ignored and apparently thought that what i was telling him in court was not believable, he didnt believe my lawyer and he didnt believe the work guy that was there that said i could do no work. How is this guy even allowed to be a judge? I've not worked in 4 years and i'm homebound most of the time. I'm in the process of appeal but it shouldn't have even gone to that had certain people known how to do their jobs.
A disability lawyer told us that at one time judges had the freedom to look at each case objectively. But there were so many bad judgements that SS has run out of resources. Now judges are nothing more than protectors of the kitty. Their decisions are no longer based on need, but on how they can find a loophole through which they rule "unfavorable" to keep their ratio’s intact. If there is a poster child for this type of judge, in my opinion it is Daniel Myers. Case in point; my son. He was hit broadside by an SUV when he was 17. Suffered brain shear and was in a coma for 12 days. Lost half his personality, but worked hard to regain what he had left cognitively and physically. He continued schooling with academic help only to be diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder in early 20’s. He’s been in and out of hospitals many times, is on a long list of meds, and on bad days has serious dilutions. All this is well documented. Went before Judge Myers for SS benefits only to be told he could bus tables and was denied. My son has been trying to keep a job bussing tables ever since. The only restaurant that continues his employment gives him about 5 hours per week because he is slow. Other establishments have fired him. I certainly wouldn’t want anyone to have to watch a son go through what mine goes through every day. But in my opinion, if judge Myers had a loved one that struggles like mine, he’d be on disability. The system has failed my son.
Well today I went before Judge Myers, I don’t know what will happen in my case, but I have to say judge Myers was very nice and listened to me and my lawyer and allowed me to sit or stand when I needed to, so I had a good feeling about the judge weather or not I will be approved or not. Thanks
I and My Lawyer went in front of Judge Myers. Today Aug 22,2019 This is my second time in front of a judge ,But Judge Myers was very respectful great smile and was very plesent to talk , I am not sure what the out come of my case. But I pray that with all the evidents that he has a great heart and approve me case. i have been going through this for for 4 years Iam tired and stressed I will know that answer in about 2 month.
I believe that this judge allows personal feelings to interfere with his duty as a civil servant. I hope that something happens in his life where he understands the pain and suffering that the victims of his incompetence experience. He has no feelings or care for the people that have the misfortune of having him preside over. I feel the state should look at this record and consider taking his license away. I am disgusted with what is allowed to sit on the bench and pretend to be human in this state.

This civil servant lives in an Ivory Tower. I don't have insurance, because I can't work. No doctor is going to send me to a specialist when I cannot afford to pay. Three physicians told him I cannot work, but he ignored them and took the word from an ex convict whom I haven't seen in over 5 years which he is NOT suppose to do. I agree with the other poster, but what comes around will indeed go around to him. He's good at calling people liars and unfit in their jobs. He deserves to lose his own job for being incompetent and lying about written testimony from those who actually know my case and live with me daily.

After reading these comments, I was terrified of having Judge Ramsey for my hearing. I dont know if I was approved or not, but wanted to say, he was friendly, professional, and even spoke to me off the record personally. I do have to say, make sure you have a competent attorney to go with you. The fee is worth the piece of mind. So, if you get Judge Ramsey, all is not bad and everyone has different experiences. All the stress of this process, is hard enough, without having more to worry about. Good Luck everyone who unfortunately has to go thru this process.

Mr. Mark is a very good judge. He tell me I'm not sick and get a job. I listen to him. My cousin tell me to tell him that ball is not round. I say no and get a job. I now have job and a American wife. She says I need money and get another check. I get two jobs. My wife get fod stamps and ssi. my life is happy thank you mr, judge.
I forget to say Mr, Marks boss man Dean is very nice.
I used to work for Judge Ramsey. He is the pillar of concern, empathy and fairness. I sat thru many, many hearings and listened to some very sad stories. I also learned a lot about the human equation from him. Judge Ramsey is the judge I would want to stand before if I were a claimant.
Sooo glad he is finally gone. He is a very unkind person and denied everyone he could no matter how disabled. I wish him what he has dealt to others.
The representative who my law firm hired from my city was a waste, in my opinion. Mr. Gandy gave me the curtesy of less than 15 minutes to meet with me right before the hearing and I can say that the way he asked me questions that morning, I knew he did not read my file that was forwared to him from the actual law firm I had employed to represent me. I was very fortunate to have Judge Rauenzahn reside over my disability hearing. Walking in, I felt like I had already lost, but the Judge was warm and human by the way she introduced herself to me and how she related to the Recorder and Statistic Case worker. It amazed me all through the hearing how much she knew about my past health to present. Unlike the representitive I had been appointed, the Judge's thorough knowledge of me actually gave me a sense of validation. Thank you Judge Rauenzahn.

I dont think she took in to consideration what I have to go through everyday dealing with children that have ADHD and ODD have twins one approved other one keep being denied I wish she could walk in my shoes and see how it feels to get calls from school because your child cant stay in her seat or that the child is being suspended for fighting hope she one day look at the whole picture and not just her question she asked us

She was respectful during the hearing and only asked me a few questions briefly the whole time which leads me to believe their mind was made up before I ever got there(her and the vocational "expert". It was determined I could no longer do my old work and at the same time I am supposedly not disabled either because Mr. "Expert" says I can either be a kitchen helper now or a dining room attendant...both with 30% restrictions to bending and lifting and even going so far as to say there were thousands of local jobs doing these things. First of all no one will hire or keep you working with any restrictions and second I can't do them anyway and third...I live in a small town and there aren't thousands of jobs combined anywhere around me. I am very disappointed in the double standard used in the decision. Make up your mind. You say I can't stand or lift and do my old job but I can stand all day and lift in the job you say I should or could have. What a crock. If I could do my old job I could be making 1 to 2 thousand a week on very good weeks. I would have to be crazy to not do that... Maybe I am crazy for thinking I could get a fair shot after all the grief and ginancial upheaval I've been through with this.

If I could do my old job I could be making 1 to 2 thousand a week on very good weeks. I would have to be crazy to not do that... Maybe I am crazy for thinking I could get a fair shot after all the grief and ginancial upheaval I've been through with this.
She took the time to listen to me and was very caring.
I would like to just say she is a fair and just judge she truly listen and provide fair decisions based on the evidence if more judges were this unbiased and did everything on a case by case basis and not under any preconceived stereotype this world would be a better place
The disability rules, law, I should of got my disability, but this judge denied me my disability. I am a very sick person, there is days I can barely walk, I honestly don't know if I am going to make it some days.. I have so much pain , so forgetful, the social security doctor said I was disable to work, because of my disease. She mention of me being obesity, and lack of education. It never stopped me working before. I have worked ever since I was 12 years old, worked hard for over 40 years. I have worked for everything I have, and now I am not able to work and about to lose everything I have ever worked for, because I am not able to work, and this Judge made this unfair and inhumane decision, on behalf I felt she is a prejudge Person. It is such a shame that a judge can make this kind of decision, because they don't like a person. What has our country become to. So sad that's it's become that such cases are treated like this. God be with us all.
I really appreciated Judge Robert C Tronvig Jr. I was very nervous to talk to the Judge, however he made me feel very confrontable. His decision was Fully Favorable, a lot of that has to do with Binder & Binder also (Love them). Judge Tronvig believed that I had worked hard all my life and gave me praises for working for the government agency I worked for, because it was a very demanding job. Thank You Judge Tronvig, and keep your winning personality and smile.

Quick and Easy Hearing. Thank you Judge Tronvig and Roopen with Smolich and Smolich for representing me after I was denied twice.
Wonderful judge!!! Not just because of his obviously high approval rate. He respects everyone and goes out of his way to put nervous claimants at ease by asking them about their personal lives prior to beginning the hearings. You can tell he really cares about people and sees the humanity behind the numbers.

Dear God, may I please have this judge for my case, after several years of pain, despair, anxiety, hopelessness, I would like to know I'm talking to a person that listens and understands, after two denials I see I might have to wait another year, I spoke to Binder/Binder, of course they want me, now I've done all the work and will probably do all the rest they will get 25%. I would have hired them in the first place but I don't want to share my money, I have had it hard enough just this past year, Being 60 is a curse after working all your life, you fit nowhere, absolutely no dental unless your getting a tooth pulled, thank God for food stamps, 200 month and Sacramento Health services, losing all faith in life, I will ask God to help me through this again. No one tells you how bad it really is when you get old, I will lose my chance at a housing voucher now, out of 50,000 I was one of the 3,000 chosen in Sac county, no income to back it up, can't complain anymore, here is to another year, I only hope I don't have a heart attack waiting, p.s. the Roseville ss office and dds office, I can't even tell you how much faith I had in you.

This judge is simply a nice guy. Comes off the bench before the hearing begins and shakes hands with the claimant. Then does it again when the hearing is over. Feel very luck to get this judge.

Great judge. Very compassionate and respectful to claimants regardless of their case merits. He actually walks to the door to shake hands with claimants, welcoming them into the hearing room. Issues favorable bench decisions if possible. Also, issues denials where the evidence doesn't support their case. In 7 years of practice, I have never met a kinder, more humane judge. He is a credit to the SSA and judiciary!
Really great And compassionate Judge Thank you with all my heart really Thank you
Recently had my hearing Dec 2019 with Judge Villere he was very kind respectful and as i could see he is a very passionate gentle soul & as i await his decision after 22 mos hearing wait time i am confident Judge Villere will make a RIGHTEOUS decision based on my permanent disabilities .... Thank you sir . Sincerely
Even though I did not have a positive outcome (I'm now homeless) I felt Judge Welton was fair and impartial with regards to my social security disability claim. I will try to get my life back on track and move forward. If the Judge believes I can return to work, then that is what I intend to try.
