I found this judge to be very compassionate. He was difficult to read during the hearing, which tells me he was weighing the evidence in a fair manner.

This judge seemed ok at first. As the hearing went on, she got condescending and flippant. I have medically documented issues and she barely addressed them. My husband, who is my representative, was not allowed to be in the hearing with me! 5 months later I got my denial letter. The comments she made concerning my medical issues were no where near what I stated in the hearing. I knew her decision before I left due the smirk on her face. I have worked for over 40 years. It is almost like it is coming out of her own pocket. I will be hiring an attorney soon.

Judge: Raymond L Souza

Judge Souza terminated my benefits after I'd received them for 18 years. I'm 55 yrs old and unable to work due to bipolar disorder. The SSDI psychologists reports said I was disabled as did my own Dr and therapist. He threw those reports out. Instead, he called a Dr in another state who has never seen me. That Dr said so what, she has mood swings, don't we all and laughed. This was the testimony Judge Souza went by. He also relied heavily on false information about me online and photos from my Facebook page. He has little to no knowledge of mental health issues. Having a photo of oneself smiling sitting in the sun does not mean that a person no longer has bipolar disorder. If my Facebook page was a problem then probably no one should qualify for SSDI. Judge Souza also based decision on a report done by undercover police Sent to my house under false pretenses. Sending male police officers to my house has caused PTSD. I am a rape victim and he should have considered that would be a trigger for me. This 3 year appeal process has left my health worse than when I started. The entire SS process needs to be looked at. It's damaging and the wrong people are getting terminated in order to cut the budget for the state of MO.

I had a hearing with Judge Wolfe today, and I was afraid as I'm sure anyone would be. I have medical issues that embarrass me and are hard to talk about. Judge Wolfe was very nice. He listens to what is being said, and treated me with respect. Of course I hope he decides in my favor, as this is a life changing decision, but if he doesn't I still believe him to be a fair and nice man. Thank you Judge Wolfe!

Judge Souza was very kind. He was very familiar with my case and adjourned the hearing within 20 minutes. I received a favorable decision 3 months later.

I just had my hearing before the judge this week. He was compassionate and kind in my case.He seemed truly willing to hear my side.I await my decision but know I have gotten a fair hearing no matter what the decision is.This judge does not talk down to you but talks to you.I believe he knows when a person is not being honest.People need to realize honesty is the best policy.

He had his mind made up before I limped in the door based off of my age. The denial was incomplete and he contradicted himself 6 times. Think it is time for him to retire.

JUDGE DIANA ERICKSON Is a very open-minded, understanding Judge, that is very fair! My second claim appeal went to her for the hearing. I was very nervous because her approval rate was the lowest of all of the other ALJs! My attorneys Parmele and Parmele, requested a decision on review (think that's what it's called.) Basicly asking for her to look at all of the evidence and approve my case, without going to a hearing. The morning of the hearing I get a call from ODAR. I was getting coffee and missed it. I just saw the missed call and knew the office wasn't technically opened and figured it was my attorneys. I called and she asked if it was me and I said yes. She said I'm trying to get ahold of your attorneys, but wanted to let you know that you don't need to come to the hearing today. I didn't understand. She said " I'm not supposed to tell you, but the Judge made a decision on record this morning. Your appeal was approved!" I just started crying and couldn't talk for a minute. Thanked her a billion times and told my ride to turn around and what happened! She changed my life! That was on 1/26/16 and I got my first payment the end of February or beginning of March! I'm took my 1st claim to Federal Court and my new appeal is today at 9am with Judge Christina Cooke! She was very unfair, and used the oldest information possible and picked and choose what parts she wanted to use. Words direct from the Federal Court when they sent it back for a new hearing as well! She took a medical experts opinion, over my own Rhuemotologist that I had been seeing every 3 months (at minimum) for 2 years, simply because "he encouraged me to exercise to decrease pain!" So I face her with my new attorneys now! Good luck to anyone who has her.

I have not received my decision from Judge Erickson yet, but I have to say I've been through this process before and she was a very pleasant judge to have. In the past I was told it was a waste of time to represent myself, I don't know how it turned out, but she did at least let me speak, and I feel, really listened to me. I was nervous going in, and still shakey going out, but it was not because of Judge Erickson, but rather just nerves. Compared to my last hearing, Judge Erickson was very fair, and pleasant.

Judge: David G Buell

I can't really give him any stars yet, but I am concerned about Judge Buell. My wife has evidence and proof of unable to do any type of sedentary work, my lawyer asked for a On the Record review and he is stating that a hearing is required. I don't know why the system is setup to play the people that are disabled and everyone that really isn't disabled can get it with a flip of a switch. My wife isn't working and yet have to wait 15 months for a hearing. It's stuff like this that I really don't believe in our government.

Denied my claim a few weeks later after the hearing when I had all of my records and an attorney... Now I will have to wait even longer..........

I have Parkinson's. I had brain surgery a couple of weeks ago. If a person with an incurable disease, that had to have holes drilled into their head and cannot go to the bathroom by themselves and cannot take care of the basic custodial needs is not considered disabled, who is? I am currently waiting for a local judge to get assigned to my case. I just picked a random judge to type my comment. I am vey frustrated that the SSA can say I am not disabled when the UNMC doctors and the surgery I have had states otherwise. will/can someone help me????????? I am not leaving my name because I really don't have any backlash.

This man has no compassion for public safety officials who served their state for 24 years.

Judge: David G Buell

This judge appeared to have his mind made up before the hearing. He said I was lying and making my symptoms seem worse than they really are. He said I have an account on LinkedIn which makes me look quite good (who tries to make themselves look bad there?) He also found an account on Eharmony and said people with depression don't want to date. He clearly has NO Knowledge of mental illness.

the Honorable Judge David Buell of the Social Security Addministratuon is one of the most passionate judges i have had the pleasure of sharing ny hardship with and i prayer that as hard as it is to believe he must uphold his duty and grant ssi to everyone equally which means there must be proof to support a disability that are used to base qualifications on these I'm sure were set long befor he became the. Bad Judge- seems nice on the surface but has now denied two legitimate claims of mine for no good reason, that no other rational judge would have denied. Be prepared even on strong claim for a denial- strongly recommend not doing a video hearing if you can avoid it because both denials were video hearings.

Judge: Ronald D Lahners
5/4/2013 5:31:18 PM

I believe Judge Lahners is an older judge with older opinions and values. He needs to step down or retire. He asked me questions during my hearing that were tacky and rude and in no way did they pertain to my claim. In his letter to me that denied my claim, he repeated the same topics over and over again and did not consider all the evidence. He even said that state doctors that I was seeing were not credible. Isn't SSD state or government owned? Is he referring to his own office as well. I believe he had "no" already in his mind as soon as the hearing began. Government services did not move very fast but his denial letter was typed and mailed to me withn 8 days of the hearing. I did not receive a fair hearing and it was prejudicial because I had a bad advocate at my first hearing and he cut the hearing short and said "to be continued." My attorney had a steep hill to climb and as I said -- and Judge Lahners had "no" in his mind as we progressed through the hearing. Shame on him. Please retire.

Judge: Kathleen Muramoto
12/16/2012 1:51:45 PM

Judge Muramoto asked questions concerning my living arrangements, including if the person I live with is disabled and his source of income. I do not believe she has any reason to ask about the person a claimant resides with. After all it is about the claimant and independent of other immediate family members and partners. In her determination she stated my back problems affecting both sciatic nerves are severe. She further determined my statement of being in pain all the time is not credible. I also have arthritis, fibromyalgia, and bursitis. I do not understand why she can blatantly state a claimant is a liar concerning pain and discomfort when she fails to delve into it. It is her job to determine who is and isn't disabled within the disability guidelines. It appears she was prejudiced against me because I live with someone who is disabled and her inability to comprehend an individual can be in pain all the time.

Fairly negative ALJ as reflected in his decisions. I agree that both extremes aren't good but the WV ALJ didn't start this controversy. SSA knows exactly what it is doing and is no hurry to investigate the ALJ's who pay 20-30 percent of their claims or less.

Would the statics be more reflective of the real world if this particular judge and judge Morris' decisions were removed from the data matrix? I firmly know that individuals such as this DO SCEW THE DATA, but we as citizens can't get rid of them any more than we can get rid of the WV Judge which started this controversy in the first place. What I do know is that both extremes are hurtful to the SSA objectives.

One of the best judges I have appeared before in representing clients before SSA. Very prompt (convened hearing 2 min. early!!)and very friendly. Joked with my client to put him at ease. He obviously read the file prior to the hearing. He chatted with my client for 10 minutes, then issued a favorable bench decision.

Judge: Michael A Lehr

i think he should have to live with some of these that are denied because he doesnt see enough evidence wellwhen you live with someone 33 yrs and they complain of the pain and they have no insurance to seek medical because medicaid denies them because not proven be disabled especially when you see so many getting ssi because they have mental problems well to some exinct i feel i have mental stress from my spouse fighting to get his disabilty he worked for it seems more get ssi than those who actually worked and the stress of worrying how care for children and bills and shopping because your spouse isnt capable to help you out but then a judge says not enough evidence i dont really know who is hiring anyone walking in with a cane for support but my opion is look more into what is really said not what you think they said and when did a fishing trip with your son make you not diasbled because i see a man with one leg in a wheel chair fishing daily i see a sqezo prantic deer hunting gambling in a casino but bi polar and cant be around a group people but they are in wal mart they are in gambling and my spouse cant stand in walmart longer about thirty min he in pain and in the car with the seat laid back just saying how you pick and chose

Attention Jan E Dutton Hello, My name is Anthony McCormick and u have rejected me on my social security two times already, why I dont know..I really dont know what to say to convince you to give me social security so i can go on living and not live in depression, anxiety and pain.No the social security wont take my pain away but it will releive me of my depression and anxiety. It will help to make outstanding medical bill payments and house payments, put food on the table and clothing on our back.I am an american citizen born in this country and worked all my life untill i got ill..People like me look for ways to make money to get by and live,we will go through all extremes to get it when we are denied from the help we need.People like you put people in the situations of doing illegal or criminal actions to try to get benefits cause we cant work and the vibe i get from you not giving me social security is you dont care..For all the time I have worked in my life I think I deserve something...So please consider helping me ...Please
