In all fairness the man is doing his job!! We the people do not know what he is allowed to approve or what the regulations are on his end!! I’m sure he seems to be Stern and upfront, but would you rather someone sugar coat things and give help to everyone!! Our economy is falling right now and all people worry about is passing judgement on others. Stop and take a look at ones self before casting judgement on a man doing his JOB!! I have been fighting for my husbands SSI for years and he has an incurable disease. Guess what we get upset , but keep moving until it’s our time. Stop for once guys and think about what, why and when!! Someone is always worse off that ourselves. Keep doing your job no matter what your decisions are and no matter what people say !! I respect what you have done and what you will continue to do.

Terrible “Judge”. She comes from a family of privilege and totally looks down on the people she should be helping. Waited so long for an appearance to have her say, “We don’t need for you to explain your case. I have a very busy day.” I knew at that moment she did not read the file or care. Now I have to wait another year for the appeals division to send it back with the mistakes and blatant disregard for the clear documented listings she just disregarded. Basically they just want you to quit. I really feel sorry for the less fortunate that can’t fight it as long as I am able to.

I don't understand all the hate on here towards Judge Wing. He performed my teleconference hearing a couple of weeks ago and he was very understanding of my physical condition and before he began he even told me if anytime during the hearing I was hurting too bad to sit any longer and needed to stand that I could without asking permission. He showed me respect in my disability by doing so and so I tried my best to show him that respect in return as his honer. I was just completely honest with him and I felt like he showed concern for my physical and emotional needs. I personally thought he was extremely professional myself! My only wish was that I could have recieved a decision right away because I've been without income for 2 years now and I'm in a major struggle and a burden on my parents. However I do understand the system is over loaded with cases. Judge Wing told me he was going to keep my case open another month and then make a decision. That would be another 2 weeks and as bad as I'm so desperately needing financial assistance, I just pray this Coronavirus doesn't cause a delay in his decision. But if it does than it is what it is and one day I will reach the end of this blessed tunnel!!! One day at a time Sweet Jesus....

Yes, this judge does cherry pick evidence . He does turn testimony around to fit his pre formed opinion. He will interrupt you during your testimony , to throw you off track. It seems as though he has already made a decision on your case , before your hearing. If this guy is your judge , I pray for you. Good luck getting the benefits you've paid for all of your working life.

Well I had my hearing Judge Jarrod tranguch this Tues. He was what I would call a genuine human being. He does take the time to go over your case I personally found him easy to talk to even though I was nervous as heck. I struggled for a year plus. Lost almost everything. And you know what . He is going to give me his honest discission. I may not like it or I might. I got at least a month to wait. I hope he sees that I am truly in need on the benefits I need the meds and without them....I'm me.. to many jobs, and I just can't seem to work with people. If I have too.... I'll start all over again. Better than catching a charge or scaring some people at work from my extremely aggravating aggressive outbursts. Yeah we may not like the answer but it is the answer. And it comes down to respect. Just respect it. I will even if I'm denied. Doesn't mean stop fighting for it. All in all a pretty fair man . And he asks good questions but I ramble..it might have screwed me ...pointer don't ramble..

Attorney Comment
Judge: Michelle Wolfe

I am an attorney who represents a fair number of disability claimants. If you are coming to this site to find out more about an administrative law judge, I want to share some things with you so that you have some perspective while reading all these comments. Your case is unique. While there are common case types and situations that are regularly before the ALJs, the system works at not being an assembly line and looking at all the facts and circumstances. My opinion is that the majority of the time the system eventually works for most claimants. There is still a significant minority of cases where it does not. I get contacted by a lot of people who have lost their case at the ALJ level. They feel like a lot of people on this board felt after being denied. I review their written decision and talk to them in detail. The majority of the time the ALJ made the right decision. So what went wrong? It's usually one or more of the following things. (1) Well meaning doctors, government/nonprofit social workers and other well meaning individuals encouraged them to apply without fully understanding the disability programs (2) they went into the hearing not knowing or understanding both the strengths and potential weaknesses of their case (3) they didn't see the right type of doctors, get all the tests needed, and/or try all the possible treatment options out there. When I talk to these individuals the most common thing I here is "Well nobody told me that. I wish I knew that back then." So is the judge the reason you lost? Maybe. Maybe not.. Every case is different. Did you lose for other reasons instead or other reasons as well? Probably.

Judge: Wanda L Wright

Ms Wright took everything I said at the hearing and my medical records and cut it up and place it back together just to be able to find in her favor and then left out the most important part which was x-rays and MRI go figure. It's really bad that these guys get to play GOD over our life, we work hard tear our bodies up just trying to make a living for us and our family and be under paid only to find out that this happens it is just devastating , we all want her salary and be able to cheat someone of something that really is their's they paid into the whole time they work, I hope someone see this and investigates What is going on she clearly cut everything up and spiced it back together so she could deni me, this can't be legal something needs to be done, there is 172000.00 a year reasons why we deserve better.

Im scheduled to see him in a few months. I am not here to say anything bad. It is their job to "see through the bull. I am like most of you. I am in bad shape. I can only hope that this judge sees that I am in dire need. I can't hold a job without ruining it in some way. Too many sick days,Some get escorted by police to get to their car. Things like that. Anyway He might not have the highest cases passed, however not everyone is as bad as they think they are. I will let him decide how bad he thinks I am. Not much you can do really. And appeal it if you don't accept it, but leaving stupid comments is not going to help either. What if you go back in front of this judge is the process starts over? I will start over if needed because I need this as I cannot hold employment or be out in public ...believe me. There are other appeal processes and file again and go through it all over again. You want to prove to them right. Don't give up. I am on meds and thank god!! finally.... without them I am a monster hiding in Mr. Jekyll I personally cannot sit for two hours I will need to stand and bend and go to the bathroom. But make sure your attorney is straight with you and not filling your head with fake hopes. I have suffered and been on disability since I got out of the army in 2000. I got off because ex wife was going to divorce me if she didn't have more money and my son was lost after the end result anyway That tore me up and still is.. I was young and to full of pride so I got off. I tried and had almost 30 jobs since. It was the worst thing ever. I should have stayed on it. Two cases a day to pass aint bad though being you only have a few per day with the ALJ. And to the gentlemen that went to apply and bent over and carried 40 lbs. Look at it this way, so you can carry some weight. I might not be 40 pounds strong but maybe a job that lets you only pick up 10 lbs or look for a job that back pain is minimal. I have back surgeries , but backs can take you right out of life believe me. I refused all pain meds. My wife was addicted and I will suffer to ensure she don't come around them. Mental issues well I am screwed up with them. I can only hope he sees I am genuine and 100 percent sincere about my problems. My attorney is awesome but that aint no for sure deal either. Just piece of mind, and the leg work is nuts and worth having ,so thank them even if you lose. I cannot leave a rating yet. But it will be honest. The fact he is a judge deserves 2 stars, serious its not the life you or I wanted or we would be the judge being ridiculed.

This guy is a piece of crap. I have severe depression/anxiety/paranoia and he turned me down. Not to mention that i have been going to psychs since i was 21. I am almost 60 and had to retire from a good job because of this.It took this arshole 8 months to give me a rejection notice too.He outed me for being transgender also which wasn't necessary cause he already knew i was. I wish i could put a machine to his brain and give him all my problems then he would see how severe my problems are. Never mind my aunts grandkid get on disability for being bi-polar and then graduates from college and has over 500 friends on facebook. Then she has art shows to sell he ''works''.She is also in her early 30's!

This Judge is Misleading , and dishonest plays the game well and is hurtful in my opinion to society. If the system is truly broke, you might want to start with her in considering why this is. Integrity is missing, Cruelty is verified , A none independent thinker and irrational in her decision making. (poster child for +++) if you would like to witness Orwell 1984 go listen to a disembodied VE, over a phone while trying to keep your head up to stare at a TV to communicate with this Judge, That alone should tell you how much of a criminal everyone looks like in the eyes of our GOV. It is a Humiliating and repugnant experience to be dragged in front of a hearing disabled only to be Harmed with a denial and being called a liar by someone who expressed the cruelty , and carelessness of the beast system well. Pray for our Country.. I mean it, because praying for just the people is not enough.

No one e has a positive comment about this judge, even past workers in office. These workers told me to withdraw my application and file a new one. Since there is no decision, they can use records prior to withdrawal. The states DDS approval is twice his percentage. I should have listened. He makes quick decisions, if you receive a notice within 2 weeks it is a denial. His mind is made up prior to hearing. The only records he reviews is the ones from their paid for doctors and vocational expert's first jobs you can perform. Most vocational experts magically find these jobs you can do even though they are not within your restrictions. He gives not weight to specialist in their field, especially ones you were referred to. New regulations allow such behaviors, but Appeals Council remands most of his denials, but you will have to wait around a year. Again once you see he is assigned your ALJ, withdraw and refile. His office's wait for a hearing has decreased drastically, some within 5 months. Another tactic I was told to avoid ODARS with low approval is get a mail box at a place like Mail Box Ect that have a physical address. Provide this address to SSA. Sign up for USPS informed delivery, once you see mail from SSA go pick it up.

My daughter is unable to walk almost at all, has severe hand tremors, post injury mental impairments, and the list goes on. She struggled every day trying to keep going with faith in the SSA system. She thought they cared about the people they were suppose to serve. But, come hearing day this amateur was about as put together as an intern on their first day, yet had the attitude of a king allowing peasants to beg for his favor. He barely asked any questions about her conditions just work history and confirmed if she saw doctor X or Y. She had many problems responding and as it seemed like he had zero patience as if we were holding him up from something he rushed through questions not even letting he elaborate on anything or even allowing her to answer completely. Finally it was brought to his attention that she was trying to elaborate he told her she'd have time to speak at the end. The end came in a flurry as he talked a mile a minute then as he attempted to end the hearing an attempt to remind him she haden't had her chance to speak he actually spoke OVER the comment and rushed out of the room. Weeks later he casts his sentencing from his throne and had the audacity to not give much weight to my daughters conditions or the specialists that treated her. Now we as a family have been trying to help my once optimistic now suicidal and depressed daughter try to survive. Not only did he sentence my daughter to Hell he completely destroyed her spirit and personality. This amateur doesn't deserve to call himself judge or human.

I’m not gonna leave any negative comment on here. But I would like to express that these disability judges need to be more educated when it comes to chronic illness to name a few rheumatoid arthritis, Wegner’s Granulomatosis with Polyangitis, fibromyalgia and so many others. I was denied and it hasn’t been easy for me but we have to understand they are just doing their job. I will be mailing some letters to some congress people and all I ask is for disability judges to be more educated about chronic illnesses. Thank You.

Judge: Hortensia Haaversen : we are grateful for your decision on my wife case , However we are in some distress over the office of disability in Buffalo NY and the way my wife was treated by employee who has cause her case to be pushed back another 90 days from last week as the employee shut her case down because my wife could not answer his questions due to her TBI. but the real reason is with our legal representative and their lack of contact and also giving out bad advise according to the office at 186 Exchanged st ,Buffalo NY . We are looking to review the labor cost from their office and to verify the real amount that is due for payment.

Got my unfavourable decision letter today and I'm so filled with mix emotions. I suffer from axiety, depression, and alot of post matic stress, though I am a mother of 3 young school aged children, I guess to SSD these symptoms do not meet their standards, one because I've never committed myself to a hospital, letters from family, friends, and psychiatrist was not good enough , letter said weighed very little . What gets me is I have always worked, it's not that I decided I'm gonna quite my job and live off SS was never my plan, but when you suffer from these issues that are uncontrollable at times it's hard to be in society alot. One thing that was mentioned because I was asked is if I used social media ? Who doesn't? That was used against me. I have social anxiety, panic attacks and it effects me even though I'm being treated for it. One thing that was mentioned was I continue to say I have systoms but still refill my prescriptions on a regular basis? Am I not supposed too? There was a note in there I appeared sloppy. I'm confused, but yet I was alert and made eye contact, was I not supposed to at my hearing? I don't do drugs, I don't drink, I don't party, yet I see so many people get approved for addictions. Well mental health is a disease as well, which many abuse their medicine. I'm trying to do right by seeing a psychiatrist and a therapist and take my medication as directed and I'm punished for it. The only thing I guess I can do is appeal it and hope someone sees me through a different pair of eyes and compassion. She apparently did not. I felt she was nice and professional, good luck to anyone who may get her for a judge in my opinion she is not very compassionate.

I am trusting the LORD that I will be awarded my benefits! I went before Judge Wolfe this morning. I had no legal representation, and she did give me the option of postponing the hearing until October of this year. I waived my right to representation, for a couple of reasons. I did not want to drag the process on any further, and I cannot afford an attorney. After reading the above posts about this judge, I’m sorry that some of the folks felt she was unfair. My hearing was scheduled for 11:00am and I was taken in at 10:30. She allowed me to enter notes from two specialists I am currently seeing, as well as a list of medication I am taking. I thought she was very professional and fair; as was the vocational expert, Ms. Doherty. If people thought Judge Wolfe wasn’t fair, maybe it was because she said things people did not like or did not want to hear.

First words out of Judge balutis mouth was to chastise me for writing a letter to the Head judge. He denied my case even though my paperwork is impeccable and my testimony completely matched my doctors opinions. My case then was reviews by a Judge in Elizabeth City and he said Sweda got it wrong! He said Judge Sweda should have granted me my disability. At that point that Federal Judge decided to send my case back in front of Judge Sweda so he could correct his decision. Well Swed didn’t reverse his decision! He went against the appealic Judge!! He called me a drug addict several times! During this time my father died from liver cancer. To honor my father by getting a small tattoo on my shoulder. Judge Sweda said if I could get a tattoo I could work! I broke down crying and he said that was an act! Judge Sweda is arrogant, rude, and a pompous ***! I appeared before Judge Wright in Raleigh (2015). The one thing she did that left a lasting impression on me until this day is she truly listens with both a compassionate and an understanding ear. This is such a rare quality seen inside courtrooms, social services and medical professions. She looks at the hard medical facts and weight them against mere medical opinions offered by State medical examiners who see you once in a lifetime and attempt to have your claims denied. I respect this Judge immensely.

I personally feel he isnt qualified to be a legal secretary. Not accountable to ANYONE. I've called both my federal Senators and my Rep. They are powerless! Supposedly he's the head ****** in charge. I wouldnt allow him to umpire a little league baseball game. I dont know how someone so unethical, and uncaring can sleep at night. Biggest mistake I ever ,ade in my life was to allow the corrupt *** SSA in my paycheck. Nohing but theives. He acts like he's giving out his own money, as charity.

I felt the need to post a review after reading the unfair and mischaracterized reviews of Judge Wolfe. I have appeared before her many times as an attorney representing people applying for disability benefits. She has ruled for my clients and against my clients so I feel like I am in a position to evaluate her consistency and fairness. What people reading her reviews need to realize is that she is always extremely well-prepared for hearings and expects the same of the attorneys and claimants who appear before her. She asks tough questions, notices details about claimant's behavior and testimony and reviews physician and expert reports carefully. She knows the guidelines that one must meet to qualify for disability. I understand the frustration of people who do not receive benefits (and have felt this frustration on behalf of some of my clients) but I have always felt that she is very fair and consistent. She is dedicated to being a fair judge.

I had a hearing back on June 20, 2017 Judge Wing was very caring and listened. I am still waiting for my decision to be assigned to a writer but know I was deemed unemployable by the occupational specialist. Not sure how much longer this will all take....I applied back in April 2015 appealed the denial in October 2015. I don’t understand why it’s taking so long to be assigned to a decision writer!!! Not sure if it’s because I didn’t have an attorney to represent me or what the hold up is!!!

The comment sections doesn't allow me to tell the true story. She doesn't consider all the evidence. It's as if the decision was already made before even being questioned. Countless months of waiting for nothing. Being paralyzed and pissing yourself doesn't qualify for SSD. The denial states my age is too young. Didn't know there was an age limit on when a motor vehicle accident can or will happen. She is very unfair.

This judge laughed about SSA Paperwork being lost! Years ago when he was a lawyer representing claimants he stated online in a blog (I have a printout) that SSA commonly loses paperwork! Today, after over a year I finally get a copy of the audio recording of the hearing. The main ODAR office has been blocking me getting it! Very obvious of why after listening to it. This judge demonstrated a nasty habit of interrupting me while I was trying to answer a question by asking another question. Unbelievable! Thank goodness I have an attorney now. By the way, the medical and healthcare professionals that regularly see me prior to the hearing and to this day were appalled at his decision and flat out said that his reasoning did not make any sense to them - one even pulls up records they sent and it was obvious they were completely ignored! Going in with anything less than an attorney with this ALJ will likely result in a swift denial. I went in with a representative, but as they had already found and attorney's I have spoken to and since retained one, have all said that to them it appears that "this Judge gets messy; even though he knows better; when the claimant is not represented or represented by a non-attorney representative". They seem to believe he does this because he knows that a non-attorney representative will drop out at this point and it is very hard to get an attorney to come in at the Appeals Council stage. So, you have been warned!

My husband sees Judge Wolfe Tuesday. He and I are not at all worried with a wrongful decision, even if in his favor or not. I feel like all these negative comments are from bitter people who really did not have a solid case. My husband is 56 y/o and is truly disabled. He has worked and paid taxes since he was 16 y/o. Can all these people who posted nasty comments on here say this??? I am going to go with NO. With multiple knee surgeries and a replacement and more than several hand surgeries and other medical issues I am sure the Judge will be more than fair AGAIN even in his favor or not. I would love for anyone to try and work with the pubic especially the ones who feel they are entitled to whatever they can get their hands on and live off the system for their whole life. SO TIRED of paying MY taxes and seeing that happen!

Why hasn't Michelle Wolf been red flagged for her blatantly unjust denial rates? Her pay scale climbs enormously while veterans, stage four cancer patients, and countless other legitamite claims are denied by the stroke of her pen. A growing number of victims of the conscience severed judges who deny claims is growing. Rubber stamped denials are a pathetic reality in the Luzerne County Swamp. Granted, there are false claims presented, but a viral number of denied justifiable claims should be thoroughly investigated. After all, it's you, the American disabled funds.

I agree with a previous post regarding not accepting a Video Hearing from ALJ Linehan. You must have a good attorney to deal with this Judge. I have been told by two different attorney's already that in their experience his decisions are way off base if you either do not have a lawyer as a representative. If you go in with a non-attorney representative (or worse no representative) he knows that you will have difficulty obtaining representation to effectively appeal as a non-attorney representative WILL drop your case following an ALJ Hearing. It would be a good idea also to have your United States Congressman's office inquire about your claim. He does appear to be particularly biased against Mental Health claims. Two different attorney's that have dealt with him have told me this.

My experience with this Judge was horrible. He rushes through the hearing, will not let you finish answering a question when you are obviously confused with what he is asking. He will cherry pick anything in your records that he can twist around. And frankly, reading his decision was unbelievable. In several cases this Judge just outright lies. If he doesn't just blatantly lie in his decision rationale he lies like the Devil by omitting overwhelming records contrary. SHAME on this Judge. He should be removed. Yes I am appealing. Meet with new attorney today! In my opinion this Judge makes his decision before you ever go before him. He does not show any interest in fact gathering that does not meet the opinion he already has made. In my decision he took 1 doctors observation that I saw one time (not even for condition I applied for disability and not a specialist) while ignoring 5+ others (specialists) that saw me regularly and all reported the same thing. Nevermind, that the Doctor opinion he cited negatively in my favor is who gave the referral for me to see specialist. Oh the list goes on and on. Oh, and he thinks that when your medication is changed because you stopped taking it because it didn't work or had side effects that you can not handle that you are non-compliant in taking medication.

Sure Pennsylvania is glad to be rid of him

There is no more glaring example of negative pressure and influence by the agency "bean counters", Congress, and other entities affecting the judicial independence and decision making of this Judge than the dramatic change in his pay and deny rates. His pay rate was in the area of 80%, he was then cited as an outlier because of this rate in a report and his pay rate dropped drastically to the area of 40%. How absurd is that????!!!!

Here it is in a "nutshell"...this judge has a terrible approval rating....it is crystal clear to me that he does not listen to any witness testimony at all...he disregards all medical records, he disregards your lawyer testimony, he disregards his own disability doctors, he disregards all the claimants doctors and his own vocational expert...with that being said...how could anyone win a case that is brought before him?...it is clear to me that he already decided on a "denial" before the hearing started...In my humble opinion, his top priority is denying claims no matter what and that is SAD....so very sad that this is how our country and lawmakers treat people who have become medically disabled...the only witness he found credible was the insurance/disability doctor that looked at the records before the hearing (never examined me at all) and stated "that I am not disabled at all and can return to my previous job".....wow.....really? Funny how he listened to her testimony huh? Talk about a scam.....yup that's right....A SCAM

I did not exaggerate anything, if anything I under-played my illness (stupid pride). Judge Wexler listened to everything I had to say and appeared attentive to my complex issues. I'm not yet sure if she ruled fully or partially favorable, I just received notice from my local SSA, not yet from ODAR. No matter what her decision, I believe she ruled fairly in my case at least. Now, I need to work on getting more tests and trying to find treatment that works so I can get OFF disability! Judge: Michelle Wolfe
11/3/2014 9:16:00 AM

A claimant with end stage cancer was denied benefits by Judge Wolfe. A blood clot in the cancerous organ came loose and caused a stroke, killing the claimant. The records were in order for the Judge to find the claimant disabled at step 3 or step 5. She chose otherwise. The case is now on appeal. In a year or so, perhaps never, the case will be remanded. One thing is certain, a deserving claimant was denied benefits. Remember Judge Wolfe every time you hear about the "billion dollar judges" awarding benefits and fraudulentt disability claims. As with most things, there are two sides to every story. Since this side of the story is not as glamorous, it doesn't get told.

Judge: Michelle Wolfe

Michelle wolf should be investigated to see if she gets paid to deny real people with real disabilities. I had my hearing with her mind you i am already 100 percent total and permanent form the military. She refused to look at all the evidence. She even dismissed social security's own doctors who evaluated me and the voc rehab lady who said i could do no work. I feel since i get va compensation she was biased against me in the first place in hearing for 2 hours she did not ask much questions. How can a judge not take into consideration their own evaluators? plus 900 pages of medical notes. someone should question why she has a 17% percent approval rate the lowest rating for ssa judges in the entire country. does she think everyone is trying to screw the system? we are all not lying burdens on society. we have real medical and psychological problems. The docs says low tress and no interaction with people so how can i work? docs say must be able to take breaks when needed and may miss up to 4 days of work a week even voc rehab lady said part time sedentary work copy machine operator really? claims jobs open for this in pa 425 where i checked unemployment and Google jobs none in this job description. She refused any rebuttal and request for information from my attorneys.... her words were i dont have too give it to you....she picked what she wanted out of my records and twisted it around and claimed i had not gone to docs in 3 years but i have my records to prove otherwise....have to file appeal to council and file complaint against her with ssa.

Because Michelle Wolfe IGNORES medical evidence I have been penniless for 4 years, and now have no medical coverage because my 66 year old husband lost his job and my health insurance. As an UNPAID disabled American I can not afford Obama Care, and slip through the cracks and do not qualify for medicaid. Does Michelle Wolfe go to work with a tumor in her leg? Does she have 2 plates in her neck and require more surgery? Does she have psoriatic arthritis and an allergy to anti-inflammatories? Does she live with chronic pain and wear a fentanyl patch? Does she have medical coverage, and can she get the medical attention she needs? A very calloused individual would ignore scientific proof and facts just to keep her denial numbers high. An unfair, unjust person. Another corrupt judge in Luzerne County. How does she sleep at night?

Judge: Ronald Sweeda
9/17/2014 7:28:09 PM

I went in front of this judge on March of 2014. He came in with obvious bias about my disability from the beginning and nothing was going to change his mind. He focused on questions that had nothing to do with my disability. He was very rude, intimidating, and condescending. Many of the things he said in the hearing were incorrect, but I did not get a proper chance to defend them. He dismissed everything that I said, my doctors said, and even the vocational expert in his denial letter to me. There were so many false statements in the denial letter that I cannot even count them. He gave very limited weight to all of the people I mentioned above except for doctors on the Disability Determination Board who never even saw me. He even listed doctors in my denial letter saying they had seen me, but I never even heard of them. I was advised by my attorney that there was no use appealing because it would take over a year and probably just go back to him. Since his opinion was the only one that mattered in my case, even above my doctors, why would he ever change his mind. My attorney said there would have to be legal errors to even be considered for appeal, and that appeals rarely win. I was told it was better to file an entirely new claim after three years since my first claim so as not to wait a year to be denied an appeal, just to have to file again then anyway. My doctor even had to write a rather scathing letter to Judge Sweeda, as his comments about my doctor were so incorrect and liable. It was the most awful experience I have ever had. I am going to new attorneys because I do have a good case I have been told to have my closed file reopened for General Bias, among many other things including provable mistakes by my medical records and the hearing transcript itself. I just warn you to beware of these things if you get him as your judge. Good luck!

Judge has a "God complex". You sir are charged with administering the LAW. YOU do not hold a MEDICAL license. YOU have no right to discredit what a doctor or several doctors state is a real disability to the point where someone is disabled. When a medical team including the IME's state a person is disabled what right does this idiot have to say a client is not? He is a joke and a discredit to anyone who rightfully administers the law. He is not concerned with protecting and upholding the law. He is focused on denying claims (see this clowns track record). When a judge dismisses 49% of all claims halfway through the year (2014) it should be an alarm to the court system that he is corrupt and should be investigated. He is completely clueless on how to do his job and should be disbarred and tried for his dis-service to the American people.

What is wrong with you is it because , you must have bin born with a silver spoon In your mouth ? Never did a hard days work in your life . I know there are some good judges out their but you must have gottin your degree from a crack jack box ! When you say I can Lift and carry a 40 lb. bag I would like to know where I am carrying this bag do I have it strapped to my back carrying it all day half a day and where is going ? 4 months for an unfavorable decision is just wrong when you already made your mind up . i especially like dr . Zhou. From palmerton hospital who asked me to bend over didn't even take my coat off for the examation .it lasted 2min. 30 sec my wife who is a RN in the ICU kept the time . And to say I sat there comfortably for all most 2 hrs. at that hearing is just an outright lie . There must be surveillance in that court room chech it out! Dec.4 2013

I didn't experience that, nor did see that in her. My experience was/is a compassionate ALJ who asked pertinent questions and took the time to listen. I sensed she was no nonsense, yet fair. She weighed my case on the evidence before her. My suggestion is, have yout matters in check meaning all I's dotted, all T's crossed before you go before her or any judge assuming you will win with limited information. I had an attorney with me which helped, I believe. I felt at ease with her and the fact that she was there to do her job, nothing more.

She just denied my case. Her decision will have me homeless within a few months. I am on my own, I have no wife or any kind of safety net to help pay the bills while I fight to get what essentially is my own money back so I can survive. I am a 52 yr old man that has been working since high school. I can't afford medical nor do I qualify for Medicaid because I have more than 250.00 in my bank account..Not much more... I dont have the money to seek proper medical attention and that is something being used against me in my case.. In her decision she stated my doctor says my condition doesn't require any medication. I guess the fact he prescribed a new medicine recently along with the meds he has been prescribing for the past 4 yrs doesn't count ...Judge Wolfe should be ashamed of herself. One consolation is that Karma is a powerful thing.

Judge: Bruce MacDougall I had Judge MacDougall for my hearing I thought he was a total gentleman. I was surprised of his results. His Notice of Decision was Unfavorable. It is unfortunate because I honestly am disabled based on the criteria stated on the social security disability website. I know the government has no money but It seems to me that the government has money for when they need it. I still give this Judge 5 stars because of the way he treated me at the hearing. That goes a long way in my eyes in regards to the respect that people in authority give to people such as Judge: Bruce MacDougall gave to me. In conclusion, in my opinion his decision was possibly made because of pressure he may get from his superiors. I also feel that it was probably really based on my age (under 50) not on all of the evidence that was provided. Unknown if I should appeal.

I received my hearing date letter in the mail today. I am very hopeful. I probably should not have read these reviews because they are frightening. I will have judge Sweeda and I have read both good and bad reviews. He has one of the highest denial rates listed on this page however I feel if I am truthful and show him how my RA really affects my life that he will approve my case. I was born with this disease and always said I would never go on disability but that is not always was God has planned for us I guess. Good Luck to those of you going through the same things and I pray that Judge Sweeda truly hears me and is understanding. I am nervous but ready to speak my case and hope for the best.

I have found Judge MacDougall to be fair and objective and to hold hearings where the claimant was treated with great respect and compassion. That is not to say he gives away the store, he doesn't but in the my opinion and that of others in my office he ususally gets it right- win or lose. I don't understand the comment above dated 7-27-12. Probably an unhappy claimant. Judge MacDougall is always fully conversant with the file at these hearings, and knows what's in each report. He is am impressive man in my opinion.

Judge: April M Wexler
6/26/2013 5:55:03 PM

Judge April M. Wexler is a Judge who is definitely not aware of the fact that many people who are applying for disability are actual people who have serious pre existing and continued long term medical issues and medical problems. I believe she looks at the actual person instead of the combined medical evidence, which includes narratives MRI's, and x-rays provided by the Medical Doctors. Furthermore I believe that Judge Wexler is biased with many of her rulings and decisions. In my case her words to me directly were " If you can drive then you are not DISABLE period regardless of your medical conditions"

Judge: Michele Stolls
6/19/2013 10:15:02 AM

She was very very nice, and made me feel extremely comfortable at the hearing. She is not i Intimidating or rude in any way. She listens well and does show empathy. Unfortunately I was denied, but life does go on. ALL who were denied have my sympathy and I hope that things turn around for you. I have to hope that better things are out there for me, and that there is a way to make a living even with my disability. At any rate she is VERY thorough and very tough in her decision making. I agree with other posts that she can twist things around to fit the denial, but I think that is what they are trained to do.

Judge: Wanda L Wright
5/7/2013 9:17:38 PM

My only complaint is that it didn't feel personal because my hearing was done by video conference. I believe that a big part of detecting sincerity, or honesty is when you can look a person eye to eye..We couldn't see each other well. She did seem nice and even though I was so terribly nervous, she made me as comfortable as anyone else could..I have already gotten my denial by her, but I know it isn't her fault. She has to consider what input my drs. and the SSA drs. say. And they don't know me. What dr. really knows a person when you sit in the room waiting for an hour to see them, then you feel rushed. You aren't going to say, "Dr., I wish I was dead." They don't really care. Ms. Wright really did listen, but shucks, she didn't take my word.

Response to previous post....." I was also told in the report that I am so functional I even take care of our family pet, the only problem with that statement is I have no family pet." That must be a standard scam they all pull. I had Gregory Hamel. He said I can take care of my pets. I don't have any pets, I couldn't afford them. Ignored all medical evidence, but took the advice of a vocational expert who never even met me prior to the hearing. Did not take into consideration how meds affected me, OR that when you go for an interview most want to do a drug screen, so you have to tell them the meds you are on, when they see the cocktail you need to take, lets just say they are not beating your door in to give you a job. It's so defeating, when all you want to do is get back what you paid in to the system when you really need it. I was also told in the report that I am so functional I even take care of our family pet, the only problem with that statement is I have no family pet. How do you move on from this? I dont wish bad things on anyone but I truly hope that someday these judges who like to throw their authority around, have the opportunity to find themselves in a situation they wouldnt wish upon their worst enemy, and see how easy it is to just put your disability aside and go out and find and keep a job. How would they like to be told, you can't be a judge but you could be an usher at a movie theater? Demeaning and Degrading, Devastating and Disgusting.

Now I have to find a job in a cafeteria, where I will probably have to steal food to feed my family. Its Disgusting!

City police arrested a judge for the Social Security Administration on charges that he groped two women and kissed one of them against her will, police said. Sridhar Boini, 42, 215 Marcaby Lane, South Abington Twp., faces two counts of indecent assault. The first occurred July 26 when Judge Boini returned to his office at 409 Lackawanna Ave. after lunch, police said. He called a female security officer into his chambers, kissed her and grabbed her breasts without her consent, police said. The woman told investigators Judge Boini smelled of alcohol at the time. The Times-Tribune does not identify victims of sexual assault. While city police Detective Vince Uher investigated the incident, he learned that Judge Boini had grabbed another woman's breasts in the Social Security office on June 30, 2011, according to a news release. Judge Boini was arraigned Friday and released on $25,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Nov. 19. I have worked continuously from the age of 15(even younger but won't go there) until my disability at age 57. My case is now in appeal and I am in chapter 7, my car was repossessed 3 weeks ago and I will be losing my house shortly. Sure all you people that were approved think he is fair. he was probably drunk when he heard your case! As far as I'm concerned if he is convicted of sexual offense and drinking on the job he should get everything he's entitled to!

Irksome problem with her is that she schedules hearings close together, and then falls way behind over the course of the day. It's not unusual to have your hearing heard 2 hours late. If her decisions were good, it would be tolerable, but she denies many cases that should be awarded.

I represent claimants at the Wilkes-Barre hearing office and know many other representative who do so as well. None of us have received any decisions under this ALJs name in more than 4 months. My assistant has spoken with staff in the office, and cases previous assigned to him are being decided by other ALJs, so it is unlikely that any decisions issued recently were by this ALJ. Several other ALJs have rather low rates of favorable decisions so the problem may be systemic.

I represent claimants before ALJs in this office frequently. I always felt this ALJ to be thorough and evidence-driven. He's been congenial and fair in every one of my cases with him.

Judge: Sridhar Boini

I went in front of this judge on may 11th of this year 2012. I felt very intimidated by him from the minute i walked in the door. I felt he was rude and fake. I also felt it was inappropriate of him to say to me "so I hear you are in a new relationship" and "are you on the internet" and are you on facebook?" i felt very violated to say the least. i felt those questions were too personal. I also feel that he overlooked alot of aspects in my case. such as the fact that i failed my psychiatric examination. I feel that he did not give that enough consideration.
