I felt discriminated against for having a successful career and retirement. He already made his decision before I entered the room. He didn't look at any medical records that I presented. I guess he is a former Marine and must not like a career Navy Master Chief. Oh well!

Judge: Mark B Greenberg

Judge Greenberg was nice. He did not make me feel stupid, he was not intimidating, he's just a nice guy. Some judges are horrible, they are mean, intimidating, and obnoxious. Not Judge Greenberg, totally nice guy.

I found her to be kind, respectful, thorough, and fair. She was genuinely interested in me and my daily struggles. She listened closely, asked clear questions and even kept me past the allotted time to hear my answers. I was very pleased with the process, with her and my outcome.

I was definitely fooled by this Judge, I thought he listened but I was wrong, Do not go in without a lawyer (even if you’re sick, and don’t think you need one) I’m appealing his decision as I can’t believe with my medical history, the amount of hospitalizations, that he would deny me, a sick single mother, and take the maximum time frame to deny me.. Mad at myself because I really thought he cared.

Judge: Jay E Levine

I haven’t received a decision yet, and sorry if things are misplaced I have a hard time seeing. I feel that he listened to me. I couldn’t breathe during the hearing due to my asthma being so bad (2 hospitalizations and lung biopsies since my hearing) I feel that he does care and I’m hoping my medical records, letters from my specialist and my testimony will help me. I am young, but I’ve battled an autoimmune disease my entire life and I felt he heard me. Again, I haven’t gotten a decision yet, just speaking on my experience with him at the hearing.

Judge king was well prepared; he had clearly reviewed the entire file and had read the pre-hearing brief that I wrote. He was courteous to the claimant and he was organized and thoughtful in his questioning. I have no idea how he will rule but I felt my client had a fair and comprehensive hearing.

Judge: Eric V Benham
12/13/2018 10:48:52 PM

My hearing with Honorable Eric V. Benham was pleasant. He was thorough, understanding, and respected my points of view. As I pointed out my problems to him, he was very sympathetic to my situation. He examined all the details in a kindly manner, and allowed me to feel comfortable throughout the process. This judge handled my case with sincere respect and consideration.

Judge: Donald P Cole

After my hearing with Judge Cole I felt, regardless of his final decision, that I would be given a fair and thoughtful deliberation. I did not have a lawyer (I would recommend seriously considering a lawyer) and the Judge worked to help guide me through the process. He strikes me as a solid human being and a first-rate judge. One other thing that impressed me is that there were some pretty nasty paperwork errors made by SSA in developing my case. SSA failed to properly request medical records from several key specialists. Prior to my hearing, my file had been updated and the missing records were all included and brought up to date. Judge Cole is clearly detail oriented and I think that the cleaning up of my file also reflects on his personal tenacity.

He was extremely rude and lacked empathy. He didn't provide eye contact and proceed to judge my case based on my age. CLEARLY AGE DISCRIMINATION! I said " they (I) dont care if you had breast cancer. I was there for my judgment on PTSD and whistleblower. I was brutally beaten in my face for reporting to the ATF about a corrupt sheriff's department. This judge ignored all of the written and photographed evidence. He is in it for himself , I feel sorry for the further clients. #me2

As a rep I have appeared before him many times and he is a fair Judge who wants to do the right thing. If you have anything negative in your medical records HE WILL SEE IT and ask you about it. If he feels that he does not have enough information he will work with me on what we can do to shed more light on the case. He is a former trial attorney, advocate for yourself/your client and be prepared to answer tough questions! Actually, if you are not represented, get an experienced disability attorney. I love going into his courtroom and find that he truly cares.

Judge: Howard K Treblin
4/9/2018 4:53:00 PM

I was having a case in court in front of Judge Howard K. Treblin on August 18, 2015 and I have got approved. In other words, the judge said that I am disabled under section of social security. After three years and exactly this month on April, 2018 social security send me a mail said, you are not eligible for SSI and you have to return all the money back that you received it after the judge decision . That is meaning they ignore the judge decision and jump on it. In fact, I am a disable and I do not have any income because I am not working and the amount of overpayment is very high because it covers more than 5 years so how can I return it? Why they made it all that big amount and then ask for back the money lately? I wish if judge can read my post and give me any advice. I will be appreciate it .Thanks

Judge Michael B Richardson ignores medical evidence. He also ignored rights violations, and won't let you speak of them. Judge Michael B Richardson is a criminal finacial terrorist. I wouldnt be surprised if he had little kids locked up in his basement screaming for their mommies. Zero doubt in my mind he does the bidding of deep state mafia, and belongs at Guantanamo Bay Cuba.

I know how troubling ssdi can be especially when your young but he took the time allowed me to sit and stand and treated me as well as anybody can be treated.i knew that all i can do is be truthful and the rest will fall in place. Im sorry for thise if you that dont share the same experience but i can only speak on my experience and he was more than fair. After the hearing he got the VE to change what she said. He wanted me to become Jewish for one job. NO REALLY he did. everyone at the hearing said no work. so the hearing ended, he PRESSURED the VE to change and we didn't find out about these underhanded ways of doing things. if he was a honest man he could do it at the hearing but he's not. A DISHONORABLE MAN. THANK GOD HE'S NOT AROUND ANYMORE! I can't tell what a burden he but on us. Oh Ya I worked solid since 1978 No breaks and now this??? CRAZY!

Judge: William K Mueller
10/28/2015 11:53:31 PM

I had my hearing with Judge Mueller and I must say I have never been so degraded as a human being until I had Judge Mueller hear my case. Not only did he degrade me but he made every effort to belittle me and mentally and emotionally attack me. He took various parts of my reports and misconstrued them any way to put me down. It seemed to only upset him when I re-clarified those parts of my records that he was taking out of context. This judge is non-compassionate, ignorant, unworthy of doing his job in a professional manner, arrogant, disrespectful and the list can go on. Judge Mueller also felt it was his right to question me on personal information not related to my medical information or disability. It is really upsetting that someone with his characteristics is someone you should be comfortable to discuss your disability and hardships with. I felt from the moment I walked in he had already stereo-typed me as an unworthy person. I really hope he never finds himself in my position and have someone like him determine his fate.

My hearing was with Judge Cole. I was really nervous about my hearing because I made the mistake of reading the previous posts. I found Judge Cole to be polite and respectful. Judge: Robin L Henrie

Judge Henrie was very fair with me. I had to get an attorney. I'd applied three and a half years ago following several hospitalizations and a misdiagnosis nearly ended my life. I have a chronic pain condition as well as PTSD. He asked detailed questions, yes. When he discovered that part of my condition evolved extreme sensitivity to light in my eyes he dimmed the light for me. He was kind, thoughtful and helpful. The fact that I am now 61 years old and have suffered from these conditions for many years I think was in my favor. I'd worked many years with these issues. It seems that is all about documentation. He essentially dismissed the Social Security doctors as their findings did not match either my doctors medical findings or even their own ex-rays. I appreciated his thoughtfulness. I am in constant unrelenting pain that is difficult to "prove". I give him 5 stars.

My doctors reported that I have permanent disabilities. I worked 41 years paid my taxes. Never thought of having to apply for SSD, I was embarrassed to say the least that I would become disabled and worse yet that I was denied. To me being denied is calling me a liar, and my professional doctors liars. I feel this administrative law judge is not professional. Good luck to all those who have this ALJ assigned to their hearing.

Good Judge! Walked in the court room nervous, but got relaxed quickly. Asked me few questions and I answered it as is. My lawyer also answered it. Judge asked me if I could shower, cook and drive. I said yes, yes and yes, but may have hard time to cook if I have to reach anything over my head level. And Judge asked me again, if everything is below your head level, can you cook? I said yes. Fully won. Great weight given to my 100% VA and great weight given to my doctors statement. Very nice guy. Thank you.

I had the pleasure to have my hearing with Judge Verne and before I go on I have not had a decision made on my claim. Judge Verne was very compassionate and patient man. He listens to you very carefully and speaks to you in a soft demeanor which will help you to relax and get through your hearing. However caution should be used for Judge Verne he is highly intelligent and does his homework reviewing your case records. He is a new SSA ALJ but you would never know this based on the above mentioned. I wish him luck on his new career and everyone that will appear before him.

She makes me wait five months until she sends me a rejection letter. I am outraged at how low life criminals with prison and drug records who fake schizophrenia to get a free check that goes to the dope man on the first of every month. Check out 17th Street and Imperial Avenue near St Vincent De Paul-Father Joe Villages. When honest people have paid into the system and honestly need help they are continuously denied. Donald P Cole is extremely bias in his view towards mental illness. He is completely contradictory in his decision making and will look for ANY small reason to to take you, the claimants ailments and disabilities and make them appear insignificant. He is aware of it and that's the worst part. At my hearing and in my decision he was opposed to agreeing with almost all my medical records and truly made the things that I suffer with daily sound insignificant. Basically you are lower than him in his opinion and with that attitude a decision on your case will be made. This man should not be an admisitrative law judge considering his overall attitude and bias towards the system. He is highly incompetent to do the job he has been given. If you have him your best bet is to walk into a hearing on your deathbed or you will not win.

This man is an outright liar and very incompetent he literally made up things to make his seem rational there is no honest person with a brain that could have reviewed all my evidence and the many sarcastic remarks about seeing a doctor only to have a form filled out or talk about my disability so I'd like to know where else would I go for medical issues a gas station a laundry mat I chose the logical idea and sought help from medical professionals and the only reason I would go to have a form filled out is because the government required it

This ALJ used to be a dealer -- for an amended onset you could likely get a win. Now she's becoming quite conservative, denying lots of cases and obfuscating her decisions, even for cases she would have granted a year ago!

I had my hearing on September 5, 2013 and I was really nervous because of everything that I read about Judge Henrie. But he was very kind and respectful to me, I didn't have any problems with him. I am disappointed that I was denied benefits but I thought his decision was fair anyways. He was encouraging about my part-time job and my future. Don't be nervous if you have him for a hearing; he's very kind.

I finally had my opportunity on Sept 6th, 2013 to appear in court in front of Judge Robin Henrie, I was terrified because I had read the reviews online about him. Although he has not made a decision on my case yet, I feel that he was very kind, he did not in any way belittle me, the questions he asked me were appropriate, he accommodated to my needs to make sure I was comfortable, and I appreciated that. So for anyone that has a hearing with Judge Henrie don't get caught up with all of the negative things you read. Obviously the decision was not in their favor or they wouldn't have anything negative to say right?

This official of the courts was one of the best I have ever encountered. He allowed me to speak and he gave me the courtesy to present my evidence. I will say, that he was very stearn from the outset of the case, but once he realized that an error had been made by the Social Security Administration, the Judges' demeanor changed. I wish that all Judicial officials could take a page from this Judges court etiquettes. I have encountered many Judge's that demoralize and treat the disabled as harden criminals, but this Judge was neither unprofessional, nor stereotypical.

Judge: Keith Dietterle

Takes 7 months to make decision! Requests supplemental hearing then cancels and finally makes a quick decision and not a fair one I might add. You think after taking that long for a decision he would of at least read medical records or listened to the medical expert that was there that stated I was disabled.

Judge: Robin L Henrie
4/4/2013 3:46:26 PM

Interesting comments by the person on 03/21/13. I heartily agree there are many receiving Social security benefits that are able-bodied men and women who could be out in the work force. I personally am acquainted with more than a couple that lied their way into receiving money that they do not deserve. I am disgusted by them. Not only did they not pay into the system for years on end but also can be found golfing, do all sorts of physical chores and even taking vacations. That said, I greatly resent the post on the 21st which lumps everyone together that were denied benefits by Judge Henrie. I posted earlier about my husband’s efforts in trying to find something, anything he could do after his impairment. 3/21 poster, my husband and I have worked for over 35 years each, indeed I now work two jobs to make ends meet while we wait for help from Social Security. We have both paid into the system and you are right, we feel he should be granted disability; his poor physical condition prohibits him from finding any gainful employment. We have exhausted all avenues to help him find something he can do. I will not go into what his day is like living with constant pain, managing his many medications and trying to think outside the brain fog that surrounds him. Judge Henrie looked for ways to disqualify him even when 4 doctors independent of each other said he could not work, the State of Utah’s Rehabilitation Department said they could not retrain him for any gainful employment and a psychologist working with him also testified to his inability to re-enter the work place. Having an independent doctor’s opinion (one who had never seen my husband, mind you) count more than those that had been working with my husband for years is reprehensible. Suggesting absurd careers that had already been established as undoable by the experts who had had already testified was insulting and belittling to a man who sorely sought a way to provide for his family outside of government aid. We have both paid our dues for just such a catastrophic event in our lives but are now awaiting an appeal for something that should have already gone through. Your careless post on 03/21/13 was insulting and thoughtless.

Also, that the 3 mri's 4 catscans and 5 x-rays of my 3 herniated discs in my neck c-5/c-6/c-7 as well as c-9 barely hanging on by a thread, as hyping up my condition, and the facts don't show the severity i claim???Oh, did i mention that i was found totally and permanently disabled by the dr. review boards of hillsboro mo. for my conditions, ste. genevieve mo. for same and st. francois co. in mo. all 3 by THEIR GOVERNMENT drs.(when they tried to deny me medicaid and i appealed and won all 3) as well as 4 others they sent me to, (also military dr.s for my early discharge), all at different times over the last 7 years which i've been unable to work at all.(he called like 17 college educated dr.s evaluations, 13 image scans of various sources etc. etc. etc. as opinion evidence!!!) Also did i mention the 3 cancers i had so far??? including the eventual loss of my kidney, as well as 5 other disabling conditions??? Also, they changed dates around of dr's. i saw to discredit me, as well as left data out completely, altered some facts, some dates, and actually made up things i supposedly said that i did not say!!! (is that not libel???) as i can prove this and would like to sue his ignorant @ss!!! P.S. SOMETIMES THE JUDGE GETS JUDGED HIMSELF!!!!!!!!!! P.S.S. the dates are wrong too, it took me over 3 years to be denied from the time i applied not the 8.5 months they say here, just more lieing @ss jewberment crap!!!!!! Oh and get this the judge states to try to discredit me anyway possible, "Indeed treatment records reveal that the claimant had no psychological complaints, and no suicidal thoughts on nov. 22, 2011. (Ex 36f, at 5) Further a mental status examination showed that the patient had normal orientation, affect, speech and memory." (ID) I SAW THAT DR. one time to get a steroid injection in my neck for the pain. Our country is stretched thin with entitlement programs and people that are upset about not getting money they feel "entitled" too are calling for this Judge's impeachment and attacking him? Here's an idea. Why don't you see what jobs out there you can actually do whether than try to take advantage of the money that I pay in taxes. I see people on disability every day and see how this system is exploited by those that see themselves are vicitims and unable to help themselves. Give me a break!

Judge: Eve B Godfrey
3/12/2013 7:43:47 PM

My hearing with Judge Godfrey was not recent. It was on June 25, 2010. I am filing a complaint with SSA/ODAR of bias on the part of this ALJ. I have been going through the Appeals Council process, and it has become clear that her decision was so clearly biased against me. I feel it is my responsibility to report this, even though I am already terrified of having to be in front of her again if they remand my case. I get panic attacks when I think about the last hearing and having to potentially see her again. She systematically destroyed what little faith I had left in this process. In her Decision, she repeatedly misused and misstated facts in order to support what appears to be a pre-conceived decision on her part. If her decision was correct, why did she have to misstate my doctor’s opinion in order to discredit his opinion? Why did she have to misstate my testimony on the same topic in order to discredit my credibility, too? Why did she misstate almost every single statement in evidence about my mental health in order to lessen the severity of my conditions? What was done to me is a disgrace to what I hope is a decent system of SSDI hearings. She should have been able to clearly use the facts available to her to support her conclusion; however, she was unable to do that and instead just twisted things to fit her decision. Her decision read more like a defense attorney's brief, having to twist the facts to support a case that's pretty unsupportable; however, I thought this part of the process was supposed to be one where the facts used in the decision accurately represent those as actually stated in the record. NOT "FACTS" TWISTED TO MEAN SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THAN WHAT THEY SAY IN THE RECORD!

I filed my Disability claim back in 2010. I'm one of Carlettis victums. I have a disease that is terminal and clearly keeps me from working any type of employment. I waited patiently for the many reviews and all of Social Secuitys repetative motions in cluding out right denial of my condition and blatent disregard for my well being. Becuae of Social Secuirtys Illegal and unwarented actions I found myslef face to face with this hateful individualCarletti. He informed both myself and my fiend/Med Doctor/USNavy that he was missing my records for one year and had to postpone my hearing. It took almost 9 months to get another hearing scheduled. I was informed by this kcaj a.s to hirre an attorny and he even suggested one in Oceanside. He told me that he would deney my case if I didn't have a lawyer. I took his advice and hired his Attorny in oceanside. I later found that this attorney was to complacent and didn't do anything if very little for my case. I relize the attorny is just number crunching and doen't fight every case to win. Im living in my car for the past two years and I can say that When Carletti heard my case he seemed to enjoy the fact that I have live in the outdoors for the past two years. I have had no running water and have had to use doggy bags to deficate and urinate in water bottles. I have suffered irreputably at the hands of these religous right wing nuts and there hate for the community.

Beware of Judge Robin Henrie. This man is openly a racist. His record reflects his hatred for Blacks, Hispanics, Jews, and impoverished whites. His low approval ratings parallel anti-Semitic policies toward Jewish families in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. There is a myriad of complaints file with SSA concerning Judge Henrie. SSA has willfully failed to investigate one single complaint. As of this writing Rescue My Chosen People is engaged in a full blown investigation of Judge Robin Henrie. I have heard that this Judge is possibly in cahoots with some Dr. Spencer guy who just does what he's told. Who appoints these people?

My husband went before this judge last year. He had greatly desired to return to work after a series of unfortunate events left him permanently disabled. Four different doctors who evaluated him independantly as we well as the vocational rehab specialists with whom he pleaded to be retrained all agreed he was severely disabled. At the hearing, Judge Henrie offered rediculous suggestions for possible jobs my husband might be able to do. The Rehab specialist said he could not do any of them. In the end, my husband was denied anyway. The judge gave heavy weight to the testimony of a doctor he had privately contacted to review my husband's files. This doctor who had never seen my husband said he felt my husband was capable of working 6 hours a day. Very little weight was given to the testimony of those that had been working with my husband for the last several years. A shocking decision. Clearly this judge is not interested in justice, but only in denying as many cases as possible through wahtever means possible. Shame on Judge Henrie for these biased decisions. Shame on the doctor he holds in his back pocket that makes arbitrary medical decisions without ever seeing a patient. I am ashamed of the system that we have paid into all of our lives that has failed us in our time of need.

When My attorney found out that I had judge Henrie they dropped me like a hot potatoe the night before the hearing. I showed up alone and he walked all over me. He did ask if my attorney was there, what they might say. I wonder how we go about getting him impeached. He Really needs to go.

She is OK. If you play ball and amend your disability onset, she will likely grant in your favor. However, amending your onset will reduce your backpay substantially.

He has one of the lowest approval stats in the region, not just Utah. He is often reversed on appeal. If you are with him, you are in trouble. When the vocational expert says there are no jobs, the judge will start trying to find jobs.

I waited over a year! ....and was denied the first time filing upon my own. It was over a year before I went in front of Judge Hatfield. I had a strong disability case ..and I truly suffered while waiting to see the judge. He was a very compassionate, and I will never forget him! for listening and helping me with my case.. HOWEVER?.. he's not a push over by no means! he looks at all the facts very well before making his final decision, but he will be fare and is a very good listener! and a good judge!

This Judge Steinman, MUST be removed from the bench!!! This guy starts off by saying my name. Then he references my epilepsy. "so these seizures began in 1776?" & then I was informed that I could ring a register for 8 hours and on my 15 minute breaks I could have my seizures. What an idiot! Its not funny clearly he is ignorant. I asked him if I could ask him a question. He said "No". Well that took away my souviegn ground to stand on & my rights as a US citizen. They told me there would be a Dr. there. Well this Dr. apparently was too busy, so he just called in on the phone. Couldn't pronounce any of my physical conditions, didn't understand the seriousness of my medical conditions & needs. then they forward this to the office of disability in Falls Church, VA. That review board just went with what the Judge sent & that I was to be denied. They were not sent everything at all. Over 150 pages of Dr's notes, hospital stays, all my medications, etc. I am beside myself. My husband passed away, I was under his insurance at that time along with raising '4' children. So now what I make calls to try & understand why? Iam up against a wall w/social security, binder&binder & a judge that should be shown the exit door. cc: gone viral!!!

The reason so many people are denied by judge henrie is that he overlooks personal dr opinions and only accepts social security paid dr.s. At my hearing the vocational expert AGREED with my lawyer that no job would be able to accomodate me based on my limitations. so afterwards i thought that would help me. WRONG! somehow judge henrie had the expert rescind his findings and even listed the very same jobs that he agreed i couldnt do at the hearing in my denial letter saying i could now do them! judge henrie i hope you know you have made me unable to pay for my medicine and my rent and my wife and children. im a dead man walking thanks to you.

This judge is pretty fair, he's appears to be all business with his findings, but is also very kind and seems compassionate if you are truly disabled. I personally went before him and at the end , he told me that he was sorry that the system had taken so long to review my case..

Today I had my hearing in front of The Honorable Eric Benham. He seemed to me very pleasant, and was not condescending. It appeared that he was interested in what I had to say and I appreciated that. Everything is not in the medical records, so under oath I was able to tell him what I had been going through with regards to doctors that couldn't diagnosed a problem I was having at least more than 18 months before I made a decision to go see a psychiatrist. He seemed sympathetic and understanding. He is very professional and knowledgeable. Most importantly he listened.
