I have to say that this entire process is a very emotional, draining, and saddening process. Never in my life did I think it would get to this point where I had to hire my lawyer(thank God) to speak for me, to help me, to calm me and to guide me through this unfamiliar process I also had this judge, and to be honest I do not remember most of the hearing because my anxiety was very high. However, what I do remember was seeing a judge through a glass/tv and trying to listen and answer the questions that she asked feeling hopeless ..very hopeless. I know she asked the same question several times and I don't remember what i said or why she kept asking /rephrasing the same somewhat question. I pray she didn't think I lied because one in their right mind would put themselves through this process if they didn't need it. It almost makes you feel , well if the Lord will take me now my family will have my survivors benefits and that shouldn't be the case. I never wanted to be here but in life God has a funny way of throwing curve balls. I just hope and sincerely pray that she puts herself in our shoes and imagine if it was her. Would she want to be treated with decency and respect, would she want to be pushed to the edge of your mind and physical body limitations with no hope. I have faith in God and in her that God will soften her heart and do the right and just thing for all of us. We deserve it. Our later days should be our better days.....not this. Written for my mother by her daughter...Imani.

The disability rules, law, I should of got my disability, but this judge denied me my disability. I am a very sick person, there is days I can barely walk, I honestly don't know if I am going to make it some days.. I have so much pain , so forgetful, the social security doctor said I was disable to work, because of my disease. She mention of me being obesity, and lack of education. It never stopped me working before. I have worked ever since I was 12 years old, worked hard for over 40 years. I have worked for everything I have, and now I am not able to work and about to lose everything I have ever worked for, because I am not able to work, and this Judge made this unfair and inhumane decision, on behalf I felt she is a prejudge Person. It is such a shame that a judge can make this kind of decision, because they don't like a person. What has our country become to. So sad that's it's become that such cases are treated like this. God be with us all.

Judge: Wanda L Wright

Ms Wright took everything I said at the hearing and my medical records and cut it up and place it back together just to be able to find in her favor and then left out the most important part which was x-rays and MRI go figure. It's really bad that these guys get to play GOD over our life, we work hard tear our bodies up just trying to make a living for us and our family and be under paid only to find out that this happens it is just devastating , we all want her salary and be able to cheat someone of something that really is their's they paid into the whole time they work, I hope someone see this and investigates What is going on she clearly cut everything up and spiced it back together so she could deni me, this can't be legal something needs to be done, there is 172000.00 a year reasons why we deserve better.

Very unfair judge, assumed alot and thinks he is smarter then 2 neurosurgeons, and an orthopedic surgeon. Has hypothetical jobs that believes you can do that only exist in fantasy land. I truly believe I was denied due to Social Securities under 50 rule and this judge had a chance to do something right and he was a coward and his behind a fake law. Lost alot of respect for the judicial system and think the federal government really needs to do a deep dive in social securities system for every stage of this process. It's the most ridiculous process I've ever been through. It shouldn't take years , Lord knows if you were convicted of a crime.it would take months , or a ticket. Biggest waste of tax paying dollars is these judges and the staff that process these claims.

Judge Porter is a great judge. She listens to you very well. If you don't understand she vreaks it down for you to understand. She ask questions to understand your situation. I couldnt have asked for a better judge. She is the sweetest person.

She is definitely and kind and caring person. I see her really taking the time review the evidence objective and subjectively. She is very understanding and takes the time to hear the claimants. She is very fair on her decisions, whether unfavorable or favorable.

I had my hearing with Judge Hogan today and it will be several weeks before I know the outcome. I found Judge Hogan to be very business like and professional. I was concerned about this meeting due to some of the reviews on this site that were not in his favor. Even if my claim is denied I will not change my opinion on this matter.

I am an attorney who has been before Judge Porter several times. If she is assigned to your hearing, count that as a blessing. She is the kindest judge I have yet to meet. She seems to be a genuinely nice person and this really puts my clients as ease. I believe that she is fair, cares about the claimants, and takes into careful consideration the medical evidence and testimony presented at the hearing.

I had judge Larry A. Miller in March 2019. I found him to be professional, compassionate and patient. I saw kindness in his eyes. I don't know what my results will be, but I felt that i was able to be open, honest and express my ailments. I heard he was tough and I was nervous but I called down within 5 minutes in his presence.

She didn't even bother to research my condition. She didn't listen to me when I spoke and that was very clear by the notes in my decision. It is full of inaccurate information about my conditions, hospitalizations, or my medical history. I'm infuriated by her lack of effort as literally a simple visit to the https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/diseases/10768/hemiplegic-migraine she would have seen how everything she didn't understand was caused by this rare neurological condition that I have a diagnosis for. I'm going to die because she was too apathetic to research my condition or more than 4 years back in my medical history

One of my associate's disability doctor's were disregarded, most bizzare I know. The only reason I can gather is that he was racially discriminated against, after further investigation of her lifestyle. She runs marathons in attire regarding to race, as her shirts are often boldly labeled with the words "black girls run". After looking further, I noticed she mostly associates with people of her race and culture. I am not blind to the bitterness, and I am able recognize subliminal racism, and it is very prominent in today's time. So, I am left wondering how our high officials do not see it, and better yet, now that I've pointed it out, what do they plan to do about it? Racism=hate=division. Division is in the justice system. Sincerely, A curious black woman

She was my hearing ALJ and although I have not received a determination I think she was genuine and wanted clarification as to why I felt I am disabled. I appreciate her accepting documents I did not send in before my hearing because she didn’t have to accept them. I hope I am approved because I suffer a lot emotionally and physically.

For some reason, I was a bit nervous, as if I was in a criminal trial! That was very usual for me! But my lawyer presented my medical condition very well and Judge Wright seem to be a very kind and compassionate Judge! Afterward my attorney said to me, "You did OK!" I am trusting the LORD that I will be awarded my benefits! At almost 61 years of age with two bad knees, lower back pain carpal tunnel and arthritis, there is no way I could ever return to doing the hard labor like Landscape Maintenance, installing draperies, and installing auto chrome, etc!

Judge: Scott C Shimer

I went in front of Judge Shimer on 4/19. He was a very nice and courteous man. He asked me some questions about previous work history. He did ask about the onset date bc I have one date and my attorney changed it. He could also tell that I had been crying. It was hard for me to answer some of the questions he asked but he took his time and was very patient. My records show that I am getting progressively worse over the last 6 years that I've been waiting for an answer. He also said he would have his decision in 60 days, my 60 days is up on Monday. Please pray that everything works as God is willing

Judge Rideout was by far the most compassionate judge I have ever seen. He was more than fair and listened to me at the hearing. He treated me like a person and not a case number. I was approved so it was well worth the wait for my hearing. After reading horror stories about other Judges, meeting him was refreshing. He was so kind and respectful. I hope others have the same experience in court that I had.

Had my hearing yesterday. Judge Fuller sets a comfortable tone in her court. I was nervous all morning until the start of the hearing. Judge Fuller was very pleasant & made me feel much more at ease. She listened to everything I had to say. Very professional and courteous. Hearing was over quickly & she was kind enough to tell me immediately that she intends to approve my case instead of making me wait for an official decision letter to come in the mail in 4-6 weeks. This world would be a better place if there were more people like her. Also she is very easy on the eyes. Thank you judge Fuller it was a pleasure to meet you. My deepest thanks for your help. Very sincerely, Robert Dailey.

I appeared before Judge Wright in Raleigh (2015). The one thing she did that left a lasting impression on me until this day is she truly listens with both a compassionate and an understanding ear. This is such a rare quality seen inside courtrooms, social services and medical professions. She looks at the hard medical facts and weight them against mere medical opinions offered by State medical examiners who see you once in a lifetime and attempt to have your claims denied. I respect this Judge immensely.

She seemed just as confused as i was , though she had all the info, then denied the appeal and back dated it 4 years, and they expect a refund though i was not able to drive per a profesional trained brain specialist due to cognitive issues needed eval, which she disagreed with. Was still doing therapy for Traumatic Brain Injury and Vision therapy, and not reached MMI till a year later for orthopedic and multiple other problems after her set date of not being disabled.. she should be fired !!! Cant give any stars but should deserve a box of rocks award... i could care less if she reads this or not.. the way the system is, no wonder so many veterans decide to opt out !!! And where do they get these crack pot specialty doctors anyway? You know they got to be paid off because i didnt even pass the eye exam but his rating was excellent

Thanks to the Good Judges, eventhough i don't remember all their names. The Judges was so Kind that I wish to share my thoughts with them. I wonder at how difficult it is to sort out the really truths from the false truths and everything else that are falses. Because the human head has all the mumbo jumbo complexities. Anyway, I feel that the world , especially the school children , can be much benefit to know and to learn from sicked people and sicked people's own discovery and experiences. Like the saying somewhere that "Trash and roses are important for one another to be sustainable" . (is money is only short-term goal?).

I was terrified after talking with my lawyer before my hearing because I found out Judge Miller was one of the toughest judges. I just got my approval letter and it went out way! He is very professional does not tolerate nonsense and has compassion. He looks at the whole picture and follows the law. Im sure there are many people that he denies that probably do need the benefits but go in be honest and answer all his questions. He was not as hard as I imagined and he got my answer quickly. He is honestly in my opinion a fair judge and the best. Some people claim but can still work. If your truly can not work he will see that. I personally love him and even after my hearing loved him. He was compassionate, professional, and really cares about the people and his state.

my son's case was heard on Oct 6,2016, I am very anixious for him, he has had problems, is a long story, the only thing I kind'a have a problem with is the waiting period to be notified if they were approved or not. I am sure, the court / judges are somewhat aware how much stress and emotional roller coaster these people are experincing and their families. I pray every day for my son to at least hear the findings of the court. I am sure the Judhe will take all the evidence presented at the hearing into consideration in his decision, I just don't know how much more stress, pain and mental my son can endure, I pray the findings will come soon. I guess no judge will ever please everyone, in my opinion Judge Miller is professional and thorough. Obviously every person that has a hearing thinks they're deserving of disability but it's up to the judges to review the medical records and apply the law and come to a conclusion whether or not the person meets the requirements of eligibility. I have no idea what my outcome will be but I feel I had good representation and Judge Miller listened to our case.

11/6/2016 3:54:23 AM

I found Judge Alston very thorough. She had true compassion toward me. Most are quick to judge because of my age, 47. To which my usual response would be "you lay pavers, shovel limerock & carry heavy equipment for 10+ yrs, & contact me when your 47" Judge Alston did not do that. Instead she reviewed my medical records very thoroughly and asked pertinent questions related to my injuries how they can to be and limitations. I attended the hearing without an attorney, (fired them just weeks prior to hearing date notification). I had absolutely no idea what to expect, my anxiety was high & was in tears for the majority. She was amazing in keeping me calm & to focus. Her words soothing. When it's hard to even leave your home, physically & mentally it's a nice relief to find someone in her position that is able to make someone as I feel comfortable enough to control my tears & answer the questions she had. My decision has yet to come in,Whatever her decision, I am confident she will review all information submitted. Five 🌟⭐️✨💫🌟

I went before Judge Clint Dorman at the end of September 2016. Before he proceeded, he told me to just relax and get comfortable. That right away, set my mind at ease. He allowed my attorney to ask me questions regarding my disabilities. Afterwards, he asked me a few questions and then asked the VRS Representative a few questions. The entire process took only 28 minutes. He then told me he would make his decision by tomorrow. In my opinion Judge Dorman was very professional, very compassionate, and very thorough. If you are truly disabled, this is the judge you want!

9/6/2016 12:15:48 PM

This Judge listens and is extremely smart, very smart. Unfortunately, I did not have a decent attorney, which I was unable to speak with until less than 24 hours prior to my hearing. Upon my meeting with my attorney, he proceeded to advise me he did not have any of my medical records, which I had been faxing for over a year to his office and have the faxes and confirmation faxes. Even though, I have severe degenerative disc disease, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus (take five plus shots a day of insulin), COPD, severe depression, disorder, RA and a few more issues, not to mention my age and normal health declines after 50 and I am pushing 60, my attorney and the vocational lady at my hearing seem to think I am fine and dandy, but the Honorable Randall D. Huggins was obviously the one that actually read my medical records and others. I am forever indebted and appreciative this Judge was on the bench the day of my hearing or I would probably no longer be living right now. This Judge is extremely observant, intelligent and does his homework prior to his case load. I just wish my attorney would have been more on the ball so I would have received more than one year back pay as to be able to save my home, but at least now I can buy toilet paper when I need to. Thank you so much Judge Huggins for your wise decision.

Middle-aged Recipient
Judge: Mark C Ziercher
8/25/2016 8:20:41 AM

Judge Ziercher is very intimidating and his record should frighten you. I had to have two hearings with him, but in the second he approved me. I'm middle-aged and didn't at the time have very clear-cut diagnoses. But this man does his due diligence and honestly, you want this. It was because he is so thorough that I was approved. My advice to all: 1) HIRE A LAWYER. This is your life and there's no price on this. I paid the max to my lawyer, $6000. Could I have used this money? Of course. But you do not want to go into any of these hearings without a lawyer. They file documents that you and I cannot write ourselves. Plus, you're proving how serious you are to your judge about your case. And 2) BE COMPLIANT, with your lawyer and your doctors. Don't doctor jump if you can help it. Finally, answer the judge clearly and HONESTLY. You may not know it when he's questioning you, but most of the time he knows the answers already. He's testing your honesty. And judging you...that's his job. But you can get through it. Good luck to all.

The system works!

She is a beautiful lady inside out. She listened to me and was very compassionate towards what I was going through. I would recommend her if I could but I know when it comes to the hearings you never know who you are going to get. She just made my hearing a bit lighter. It's hard doing something like that with all my mental illnesses in front of a judge. Margo Stone made it like we were just talking. Very kind and laid back judge. Rather she approve me or not she made my hearing better even with my tears and pain she helped me out mentally. Awesome lady just awesome! We had our hearing on 08/02/16.

Me and my daughter will continue to pray for you and your trespasses. I watched my daughter struggle from the time she was born with C.P. and now with PTSD because of 5 yrs of sexual abuse that she had before I got custody of her. Her Mother lost her Disability in 2000 of no fault of my daughters at age 7. I carried her til 2011 when I filed for her. We never claimed benefits for my daughter, the social worker did, shortly after she was born. even with a ackilles injury that never healed back in 2010 on top of her C.P. and now with her PTSD that was reported to the appeals council and still denied. Shes now 23 unable to work, been a shut-in the last 9 mos.of other female issues on top of all this. I retired in 2011 early to help her finish school and since lost our house last year and filing bankrupcy . Mr. Ill say this, The Real Judge Is A-coming and your not it. Get out while you can and repent. Did live in Newbern NC.

I had judge rideout on june 6 2016, HE actually treated me like a human being instead of a number. I feel like he truly take pride in his cases .and treated my situation with morals.and respect. Disability is a hard process, its design for people to give up.but god see's everything.thats why i met judge rideout, now thats a true blessing.

Judge: Scott C Shimer
8/3/2016 1:41:26 PM

I had my meeting in front of Judge Shimer yesterday, and I will say he is the nicest and fairest ALJ, I had a meeting in front of Judge Kimmelman almost 2 years ago, and she was not as nice as Judge Shimer. I do not know if he will approve me, but my attorney told me I have a very good chance to get approved. I will rate him 5 stars, and recommend him as a very good Judge. He knows the law, and was very helpful with me, because of my severe arthritis that I have.

Judge: David Benedict

I think the judge is unfair and prejudiced.

Judge: James E Williams
7/9/2016 1:22:45 PM

Judge, sucks. Never let me talk except when a question was asked. I was not given a fair judhgement. He treated me like I was waisting his time. 7 years trying to get disability and I am tired. Maybe if I quit taking my medication, I would win.

Judge: James E Williams
7/5/2016 4:35:10 AM

Great Judge , after reading all these negative comments I was concerned . Judge Williams was just great and down to earth , very understanding of my financial problems and lack of medical documents . Had his decision in 45 min .

Judge: Mason Hogan
5/26/2016 4:03:56 PM

His approval rating speaks for itself. He will nit-pick at facts and words used by the claimant to make it fit his depictions. Moreover, he is very rude and aggressive when it comes asking questions, with lots of eye-rolling. Lose the attitude!

From the time I sat down, she was hostile!! She was worried more of what she "THOUGHT" I did for my 70 year old father that has dementia. He is not handicap & can do for himself. He just has memory issues!! It was all about what she "THOUHT" I was physically helping him!! I'm not physically able to help anyone!! It's had to do things for myself!!She is from the Fayetteville,NC office & should have stayed there! My lawyer & I were stunned by things she said in my "DENIAL DECESION"!!How can you deny a person, when there medical records speaks for itself. She has no heart or compassion for you. She kept cutting me off & not allowing me to finish what she asked me. I pray that she can sleep well at night knowing that you have done me wrong & others with lies, no heart nor compassion. I hate for whom ever has this devil in the black robe. You can expect a denial decision. Oh yea, she became a "DOCTOR" on my case as well. Long as I can breath, I will not give up, I'm a fighter. I would rate this judge five stars because she looks at all the evidence before making decisions.Very happy!

Judge: Mark C Ziercher
10/28/2015 7:09:15 PM

Terrible, horrible, AWFUL judge. Knows all the tricks to get away with denying good claims and have his decisions upheld by the Appeals Council, BUT I have won a remand on every single case I have ever appealed at the district court level where he was the judge. If your claimant is denied by Ziercher, expect to have an appealable issue for the district court and make sure you appeal (or refer the case out if you don't do appeals) so that his name is known by the upper levels of SSA as a judge that costs the government a lot of money in EAJA fees. And somebody please tell him that he can't pull off a bow tie.

Judge: Scott C Shimer
8/17/2015 5:26:33 PM

Judge Shimer is courteous and prepared. If he has concerns about an issue, such as an alleged onset date of disability or about some evidence in the record, he raises his concerns during the hearing to give Claimants an opportunity to explain and to give representatives an opportunity to address his concerns. Unlike other ALJs, he doesn't sandbag. I may not agree with all his decisions, but I have not found him to respectful, which is not typical.

Judge: Eric W Borda
8/10/2015 6:01:31 AM

I understand individuals are often disappointed by unfavorable outcomes. There is no way ALJ Borda denied a case because the claimant was black. If your mother were represented by a lawyer (even a black lawyer) that has appeared before him they would tell you there's no way he would deny a case because of the claimant's race.

Judge: Eric W Borda
7/21/2015 6:59:48 AM

eric borda is a racist! He sent my mother to 2 exams and both said she needed help medically, that it was extreme. He/she whatever he is sent her a denial letter. God has favored her, so this fake crooked being decision doesn't matter. I hope you do read this page. YOU denied my mother because she was black, did not have a lawyer, and did not want to pay her the back pay. That's why she didn't get a lawyer because you thought she was going to split the cost with your redneck friends. GO BACK TO JERSEY FAGOT! You are not gonna pull that crap off down here in the south. You knew my mother case was strong. You denied her because she was a BLACK, AFRICAN QUEEN and you could not take it. I know you can't live with yourself, you are a unprofessional, crooked liar. I hope someone opens up my record and see that you are a LIAR!!! Your mother and father failed and so did you! The ve fake, tacky expert julie sawyer the hell with her and the ugly court writer. GOD IS THE JUDGE and I AM FAVOR!!!!!

Josh bachand
Judge: Christopher Willis
7/11/2015 7:48:53 AM

Christopher Willis is a joke! Not only does he nit pick your medical record to fit a denial. He also CHANGES THE TESTIMONY GIVEN BY THE VOCATIONAL EXPERT,from unemployable to employable. I know if I was to do this in court I would be held in contempt and maybe thrown in jail. It's sad how the ones who uphold the law are crooked as all hell! If you get Christopher Willis REQUEST A NEW JUDGE!

Judge: Odell Grooms
7/5/2015 12:45:02 PM

I recently went before Judge Grooms and found him and his court personnel to be kind, gracious and courteous. This judge is every bit of what a judge should be the process was handeled in a strickly professional and straight foward judicious manner. I found him respectful specific and looking for the same kind of answers. I was to articulate my disability limitations and to give an explanation and example on each point. If anyone had problems with this judge I would suggest you look towards your attorney and not the judge. Every "I" must be dotted and "T" must be crossed your paperwork MUST be in order along with medical documention that matches up. As for Judge Odell Grooms he is NOT a prejudge man I did NOT sense for moment that he looked down on me in any way!

Judge: Odell Grooms
7/3/2015 7:21:39 PM

I'm posting this feedback BEFORE we've gotten a decision from this judge, so you'll know that my comments are not biased by his decision. I found Judge Grooms to be well-prepared, attentive and caring. He wanted to hear from the person with disabilities, not just the lawyer representing her. He was formal, but that's his job. He made sure that everything was on the record so that there would be complete information, should his ruling need to be reviewed. I'm optimistic that he heard what was said, so it will be interesting to see if he is able to find a ruling to match the requests. Regardless, I believe Judge Grooms will be a fair judge and appreciated his courtroom manner.

Judge: James E Williams
6/15/2015 9:52:47 AM

Judge Williams is a fair judge. He took the time to listen to my side and to consider all of the evidence in my case. Judge Williams is a great judge overall.

4/12/2015 8:16:18 PM

I am due to see this judge in a few months and I am absolutely terrified. I do not have a lawyer or any other representative. Are there any representatives the will help me for free?? I am scared based on his record. But having a lawyer is not going to make me any more incapable of working. I am failing at even maintaining a life itself.....

Judge: Sara L Alston
3/3/2015 2:01:50 PM

Five stars! Compassionate and knowledgable. She kind of rambles through the medical records, commenting on things she notices. As an attorney I hardly asked a single question. The hearing was fast, the result good (and fair!).

Judge: Scott C Shimer
2/5/2015 8:48:27 PM

Judge shimer was extremely nice when I went to court last August and I thought I would win my case because the advocate told him along with my Drs that I could only work a few hrs a day but would have to sit a lot and lay down due to my back problems. I agreed with that then but apparently he didn't consider what would happen in the future. Now I'm having lots more issues and can't handle the 16 hrs I do work per week. I just got my denial letter today and I just want to cry because I don't know how much longer I will be able to hold out. I just pray he will change his mind when I appeal the decision.

Very officious in running his hearings. Pleasant enough during the hearing but expect to lose unless you have a very, very good case.

Judge: Edward Bowling
12/26/2014 11:35:19 PM

Judge Bowling was so kind and compassionate. He listened and never interrupted. I found him easy to talk to and I highly respect him. Whether or not I was approved for SSDI, it doesn't matter---bottom line---he is a great ALJ and I am so happy I had him for my hearing.

Trully Disabled
Judge: Mark C Ziercher
11/9/2014 6:10:59 PM

I saw this Judge this past week and was approved during the hearing. I think this Judge is very just and fair. He weighed the facts, the diagnosis and the doctor's recommendations as far as what disability I met. I had been denied by another Judge several years before, so this had been a long battle to get benefits! Me and my lawyer perhaps made mistakes with the previous Judge-possibly by not having the right tests and diagnosis from my doctors. The previous Judge was, however, very condescending, doubted my credibility and was very unfriendly! Judge Ziercher was fair, respectful, nice and no non-sense in his approach. He is just that, a Judge, and he believed in me and the doctors and data. In my opinion, if you are truly disabled, this is the Judge to have. If you are a faker-like so many-you had better not even show up! Good luck to those who are truly disabled!

Judge: Scott C Shimer
10/7/2014 8:51:57 PM

Judge Shimer heard my case last week. I don't know the outcome. But, he was very nice and thorough. He was familiar with my case and asked few questions. He left impairment questions to my rep. He was also thorough with the VE, and was sure to gain her agreement that I would not be able to gain or keep a job. I did cry a lot. And he told me to get it together. It wasnt mean though. I just think he wanted me to get through it. All in all, I think Judge Shimer was fair and knowledgeable.

worried spouse
Judge: Roxanne Fuller
8/26/2014 12:04:27 PM

Hello. My wife had a hearing before an ALJ last week. She was told it would be 30-90 days or longer before a decision is made. This is a huge problem because she suffers from severe depression which is well documented by her treating doctor for over 2 years, a evaluation done by a psychologist working for the Dept. of Education here and a IME which she paid for. All of them say she has a variety of problems and cannot handle a work environment. She is 57. Now all she does is lie in bed and falls asleep while watching TV, wakes up again and goes back to sleep. This goes on 24 hours a day. She does not get out of bed except to go to the bathroom. She hardly eats anything. I am worried that she is going to get physically ill from this potentially very very long wait for a decision. She told me if she does not get SSDI she will kill herself because she cant work and wont have any money. She hasnt worked in 4 years after getting fired from job after job due to her inability to remember things and lack of concentration among other things. She finally sought help through our County health clinic and has been going there for 2 years. I make a little above minimum wage and it has been very difficult for us to live. Is there any way on earth to find out if she is going to be approved or disapproved in a short time? Any answers to this?

Judge: Lisa R Hall

Judge Hall was very respectful, kind & understanding throughout my hearing. Thank you Judge Hall for granting me my SSDI.

Judge: Eric W Borda

I have not heard one good thing from a lawyer on this judge. Most lawyers describe her as appalling and only got a seat as a judge to handle case load. Whoever wrote that positive response above must be a friend of hers, you dont get decisions back in five days.

the worst judge anybody could ever have and a lying judge at that, very unhelpful judge, very well known to hold grudges from other alj's decisions didnt even look at the real problem this judge is in an awful judge and should not be involved in the social security she has no heart no sympathy and no care for the claimants feelings or disabilities she is only out to care for herself! the worst judge anybody could have!

Judge: McArthur Allen
2/18/2014 6:47:54 AM

He is a joke for an ALJ!!!! I was denied on the grounds that the doctors that I was MADE to go to were not creditable!!?? Are you kidding me? They are licensed in our state and treating patients, performing surgeries, prescribing medications yet they are not creditable!!?? Wow!!

Judge: McArthur Allen
2/13/2014 9:30:14 AM

I've worked for a law firm that has done Social Security law for 20+ years and who won't take a claim unless he feels the person is disabled. He's had a 95% record of favorable decisions until Fayetteville ODAR opened up. What a train wreck! I really feel for the claimant's who desperately deserve to be on disability and are denied. They then go to the Appeals Council where they sit for another 12 - 18 months while the claimant's lose everything they've worked for.

Judge: Roxanne Fuller

I think she was very sweet. Very honest very professional. She happens to go by the book and shows no favoritism. So you can't say I was denied BC I'm black or white. She is not like that at all. She listens and everything. She's also very attractive. My only complaint is she said I was denied its been 3 wks and I still haven't got my denile letter.

Judge: James G Myles

In re: 9/15/2012 comments concerning the VE finding jobs that were not available in your area thus you are disabled. I'm sorry but you are wrong. The standard you have to meet is that there are no jobs within the NATIONAL (not regional/ state/ local) economy. If such jobs exist in great numbers within the National economy and either you or representative are not able ot present evidence refuting the ability to perform said jobs than you are (per SSA guidelines) not disabled.

My only complaint is that it didn't feel personal because my hearing was done by video conference. I believe that a big part of detecting sincerity, or honesty is when you can look a person eye to eye..We couldn't see each other well. She did seem nice and even though I was so terribly nervous, she made me as comfortable as anyone else could..I have already gotten my denial by her, but I know it isn't her fault. She has to consider what input my drs. and the SSA drs. say. And they don't know me. What dr. really knows a person when you sit in the room waiting for an hour to see them, then you feel rushed. You aren't going to say, "Dr., I wish I was dead." They don't really care. Ms. Wright really did listen, but shucks, she didn't take my word.

I believe this judge holds resentment toward some attorneys and that determines the outcome of your case, she throwa out RFC's,and medical evidence for reasons such as she believes doctors are "helping you out" or they "didnt do enough", all her personal nastiness, NOT THE LAW she is suppose to be following. Xrays, MRI's dont count for anything as well with her.

Judge: John A Thawley
3/4/2013 10:24:45 PM

Judge Thawley seems friendly but is the most nasty white devil I had evers Know. This heathen judge did his very best to provoke me to angry. The question he asked was smart questions, his ***** Melisa Stewart laugh at all of his negative questions adress to me.Then the devil used two doctors advice i had never seen before. Mr. Devil went back 10 years on my first injury to take my doctors advice, which is totally stupid. He honesty stated in his decision he didn't believe my doctors because both was African American, where in the world did this heathen come from. Judge heathen read all my notes which are medical evidience that are in my favor and he twisted the truth. My stundent loans are discharge and the same note the heathen have so does the United States of education. Therefore the US government verify I have a disability issue but not the Judge. If I could sue this Judge for not understanding his job i would.

Judge: John A Thawley

Judge Thawley seems friendly enough but after he issued an opinion that said I was disabled he then stated that the claim was denied. It made no sense and I truly have been disabled. Now I have to worry about homelessness. But since I am a White and American I should expect this punishment.

former atty for claimants now an intense, smart, egotistical, opinionated, biased, but very well prepared ALJ known to hold grudges. we had a claimant who had been denied by another ALJ but had since gotten worse and had new severe impairments (cervical DDD, lumbar DDD, depression) which we documented with 2 years worth of treatment and tests (MRIs, etc). At hearing and in decision denying claim, ALJ Stam ignored the new problems and acted like claimant made it up. ALJ interruppted questioning by me saying she had already covered that topic, but she had not really. [I was asking specific Qs about Claimant's trouble using her hands]Then stopped my Qs of VE on same topic. AC upheld her denial withou comment.

Pleasant, professional and she listens, she does not rudely cut people off, and lot of female judges are rough (look at percentages overall on this site), especially to female reps, she is not like that. Mr. Hogan when he was a lawyer with Kathleen Glancy law firm in Wilmington NC helped me get my disability. I found out 4 years later that I did not get the proper payout. I spent 4 years not getting the medical help I needed for my disability, scrubbing toilets and floors, eating meagerly, not socializing, selling jewelry, etc. Social Security reimbursed me the monies not paid to me and I just received a letter I no longer qualify for medicaid part D which will cost me $600 a month. I get enought from social security to pay for my home only. Any thing else I have to have a job for.....food, electric, utilities etc which is about a minimum of $800. I have been trying to do this against all odds. It is like I was in jail for a crime I did not commit. Glancy says that their firm had nothing to do with it. I have emails to the contrary and Mr. Hogan knows that the information he gave me was incorrect. I say as you sleep comfortable in you warm safe home at night to own up oand pay me for damages.

She was awesome! I could really tell she was giving my case her full attention, and asked questions. She was patient, as I was so scared, and never looked harsh or annoyed. She made her decision with speed, and did exactly what she said. In fact, my notice of decision came 5 days after the hearing. Hearing was on a Thursday, and I knew on Tuesday. She is fair, respectful, and considered all factors in my case

This judge has one care, that is to lie and do whatever he can to deny benifits to people whom are disabled to the point of not being able to work and support themselves. I am one of his victims. In court he admitted there were no jobs avaiable that I could do, but in his report he stated there were many jobs I could do, but I have been evaluated by doctors and been to work centers, and there are no jobs I can do especially full time to make a living. So I will starve or have to steal to feed myself. I wonder whom the oppress should target? Look at this man's record through the years. He has continually had a carear goal of approving less aned less cases. This man is not fit to be doing this type of work. He has no care about his fellow human beaings and he is a demonic oppressor full of hate, lies and deceipt. He needs to be fired immediately before he kills more and more of our fellow citizens spreading his hate, and only concern for himself.

Its nice to have a Judge who will listen and understand and make decision on a case by case basis win or lose. He is fair and impartial and all around a great guy you would like to know in or off the bench!!!

Judge: Mark C Ziercher

I think this judge wants to go down in History as having the most denials. His record speaks volumes. I wish I had any other judge. In the denial letter of 26 pages he stated things that were not true. He has no empathy or compassion. I feel sorry for anyone who is assigned this man.

Apparently this ALJ is not willing to support veterans with PTSD. Client has over 650 pages of VA records supporting his severe impairment; this ALJ did not mention them in his decision.

Hottest looking ALJ I've seen. Very cute french sounding accent and a nice demeanor as well.

Well, the length of time for resolution should not be an issue since there are 5000 cases pending and 5000 new cases. I will be patient!
