I read every review of this judge and all I can say about this man is that he is very thorough. I was asked just about every question imaginable so that he could get an accurate picture of my disabilities. I have yet to get the results and we are praying that he gets it right. Judge Casher was very professional. If you are really disabled don't worry. If you are faking I imagine you will be found out. If I get negative results I will be sure to report. Good luck everyone.

I cant believe this judge is actually a disability judge! He hasnt a clue about the not so common chronic illness and how it makes that person feel! There are a few not so common chronic illness that turns a persons life upside down in matters of minutes they hole life change. What ones was a active, working, outgoing person turned into a not active person, cant work person, not outgoing person because of all the limitations and bizzare symptoms this chronic illness has. Seems like this judge does not want to hear what the person with the not so common chronic illness has to go through each and every day the struggle, the fight, depression and the emotions and not to give up on life!! It is not just black and white with a not so common chronic illness at least what this judge could do try to do some research on not so common chronic illnesses so he might be able to have a better understanding of what people go through!!! Of course this judge dont walk in that persons shoes so he really doesnt know how their feel in the inside!! It is sad that a persons lifely hood lays in the hand of a judge that has no heart! He surley should not be a disability judge!!!!!

It's not the point my case was denied but the outritht lies and partial truths he used, and how he twisted it around, but he did put it in writing and signed it,so all I know. To do is file complaint with lcq and write letter to potus, which I intend to do,I mean outright lied and left out anything positive for my case!

I made the mistake of using Freedom Disability and after close to 3 years, just got a denial from my hearing. The judge on the case Geoffrey Casher used lies and fabrications in his denial notice; which doesn’t surprise me when he has an approval rating of 25% compared to 60% for the Nation. I guess that is why his salary increased from $106K to $167K in the last 10 years. Just a couple of the ludicrous points the judge made: - Taking more importance from a med consult that lasted 4 minutes and was supposed to be for examining my migraines when he did not even mention the migraines, only my back problems. My back was hurting from sitting in a car 45 minutes being driven to Hinesville for this 4 minute appt. but was supposed to mainly be for the migraines from what the judge said at the hearing. He wrote out all kinds of stuff i supposedly can and cannot do, all based on a 4 minute appt. The judge took this as fact instead or the numerous doctors notes and appointments from my Neurologist and Psychiatrist and Coastal Harbor and Mayo Clinic. - He mentioned me not having medical records or on medicine in the last year. Well that is only because I could not afford to go to my doctors or get medicine without insurance or being on Disability. I went from $65K a year working at St. Joseph’s/Candler Health System to being on Food Stamps. When I applied for Food Stamps I also applied for Medicaid but was turned down, they said I could reapply after getting Disability. I also tried ObamaCare… they told me I did not make any money so that would not apply for me either. So all i could do is wait these almost 3 years since applying for Disability, hoping to make it to the point i could go back to the doctor and get back on my medication. - He mentioned 3 scenarios during the hearing to the Vocational Expert, the 1st had the Expert give 3 jobs (Delivery driver- hard to do since I can not drive from my light sensitivity and migraines, Addresser and Marker- both of which would consist of reading and being in the light)… the 2nd and 3rd scenarios had the Expert say there was no job I could do at all. But mysteriously on the denial report, he fails to mention anything about the 2nd or 3rd scenarios, only the first one listed above. People are prosecuted for fraud, and judge casher deserves to be imprisoned for the fraud he is committing on disabled citizens.

Judge Hauser is awesome. He is very candid, and he is extremely compassionate. He knows his stuff, AND it is commendable that at his age he continues to work full-time in spite of the fact that in all honesty he is probably more "disabled" than half of the claimants.

Judge: Richard P Gartner
12/22/2016 8:51:28 AM

Judge Richard P. Gartner presided on 12-19-16 @ 11:am during my Disability Hearing via Video Teleconference. I, with God as my lawyer, was in the Miami, Florida (I have been a Miami resident for 57 years) ODAR office and the Judge was in St. Petersburg, Florida. My wait time for this hearing started on October 31st, 2014 until my receipt of the Notice of Hearing on November 21st, 2016 (2 years and 21 days plus the one year before the hearing starting on October 21st, 2013 when I applied). An excruciating, stress-filled three year period of my now 60 year old life, which I cannot wish on my worst enemy. The honorable Judge Gartner is truly HONORABLE in the full extension and meaning of the word. He and his staff ( Roxana, and the others I spoke with were Diana, Tania and Chad) are considerate, respectful and thoughtfully attentive. He asked many specific questions and explained many proceedings, rights and laws in detail. In addition, I had the extraordinary good fortune of having the presence of Ms. Cynthia Stephens (appointed by ODAR), from Professional Evaluations Plus, who gave her professional opinion as to my disabilities when asked by Judge Gartner. I am grateful to all mentioned. May good health, laughter and sincerity be theirs always! It is a very real pity that the exact OPPOSITE of my compliments and experience with the St. Petersburg, ODAR is true of the Miami Fl. ODAR receptionist, Duroy, and a man named, Claudio De Leon x 28315 listed as the Miami, Fl. ODAR contact for any questions on the SSA website regarding any questions about the upcoming court hearing. De Leon, answered as if angry that his slumber had been disturbed. He hung up on me after asking where I got his extension; I called him back and his excuse for being rude was that he was the Miami ODAR Operations System Administrator!!! He is an employee of SSA and he was listed as the contact by SSA on their website. SSA is HIS employer. There are no words other than just awful, but a MUST mention as part of my overall experience. I hope this helps others as to what to expect and have the good luck of having Judge Gartner preside at their hearing.

i started my home improvement company in 1993 and usually had just one person working for me at a time and averaged slightly over a hundred thousand per year in gross income (not profit). in January 2002 i suffered a devastating accident while building a workshop on my property, the bracing that a 28' aluminum plank gave way i jumped off and the other guy leaned against the structure kicking the plank into both of my ankles causing bilateral pylon fractures. the fist surgery involved 2 -4.5" stainless plate and 16- stainless screws in each ankle each ankle , in physical therapy in July of that year two screws and the interior plate in the right ankle failed, meaning the bone on the inside of my right ankle was 1" out from where it was supposed to be. in Sept of 2002 both ankles were reconstructed a second time at Thomas Jefferson university in Philadelphia where they removed the 4 plates and 16 screws and went with 1 plate and 8 screws per ankle screwing both tibia and fibula together and shaving bone from my hips again to fill the voids that were left after removing all the dead bone and installing a bone growth stimulator in each leg. since i was going to be in a wheelchair thru another winter i asked the Dr. to sign a application for a placard, he instead filled out the form for a permanently disabled licence plate . after 15 months in a wheelchair two more years learning to walk again and 3 more years trying to save my business i called it quits that was Sept 2008. since then i have been living off an apartment i rent out on the second floor of my house for 700.00 per month which after property taxes and utility leaves me 100.00 a month to live on, i finally applied for ssi in June 2011 and was denied all the way to the federal level in 2014. i reapplied Oct 2014 and had a video hearing with judge Marty pillion on Feb 25 2016 where my lawyer this time presented forms from my ankle specialists stating that i am severely limited in amounts of time that i can stand and walk and i cannot bend crouch climb stairs or carry weight and the head of behavioral medicine saying that i have poor impulse control, anger depression complicated by severe chronic pain. judge pillon in his determination of not disabled under rules of the social security administration chose to ignore 3 separate ankle specialist and the head of the behavioral medicine dept and my primary care dr. and based his refusal on the 35 min examination by the doctor that the SSA sent me to for their examination whom incredibly said that i was able to walk with a normal gait could stand up out of the chair with no problem and was able to get dress without any help from others. while i was testifying about everything that i had gone through the wheelchair, learning how to walk again, losing over 200,000 dollars of my own money, the chronic pain i suffer from, the insomnia, the violent altercations that i went through which is the reason that i stopped working and became a shut in because if i hadn't i would have ended up dead or in prison, i was in tears he had asked me what i do during the day and i replied i sit in front of the tv or i go on the computer but i don't spend to much time on the computer because i have bad arthritis in my hands, that i cant use the mouse with my right hand because my fingers lock up i cant click on the mouse, he started screaming at me why wasn't there anything on any of the forms about arthritis in my hands, i replied because my hands aren't my problem that its my ankles that are ruining my life. then there vocational guy said that i could be a nut sorter, a file clerk or a parts counter guy. my lawyer cross examined him and with all my restrictions he eliminated all those jobs, much to my dismay he disregarded all of my doctors for the one that they sent me too. the video hearing started twenty minutes late because of the judge and when my lawyer was asking their specialist about my limitations the jack ass judge started yelling at my lawyer to hurry up this hearing is running over. HE WAS THE ASSHOLE THAT WAS LATE, I LOST THE HEARING BECAUSE HE WAS LATE AND HAVING A BAD MORNING.

He acts like a typical Judge so I suppose he is professional. Has no clue about medical issues nor compassion, I am quite shocked reading the above positive comments. Problem, these Judges are supposed to be non-adversarial & he does not follow that standard. Seems to forgot we are suffering w/medical condition, not in his courtroom as a criminal.

Judge: Lawrence J Neary
8/7/2015 8:30:22 AM

This judge is a poor excuse of what our Judicial system is about! How is he allowed to go against evidence, from a Vocational Expert, a Social Security doctor and 2 other doctors that all said the same thing! He is a judge where did he get his medical degree? How can he judge someone's pain through a video? All my doctors agreed I was disabled, so how can he go against medical evidence! My opinion is that he seen I was almost out of work credits since fighting disability for 5 years so he did not even read my file and it was a lot easier to deny me knowing that I could not re-file! But the joke is on him cause now we are going to District Court, then Federal Court, not to mention I am turning him in for Judicial misconduct for not following the laws of irrefutable evidence! I have a right to a fair hearing, I have rights! In a criminal trial they have to follow rules of evidence, there is no way around professional witnesses! All attorneys are afraid of Judges because they have to stand in front of these Judges and these judges will deny all their clients, but this judge does not scare me because I am allowed to air my opinion!

My lawyer told me that Judge Gartner was a new judge so our attention was on high and we were hoping for the best but prepared for the worst. I'm in the hospital now as we speak and was unable to attend my hearing due to hospitalization and some haunting health impairments. I was able to get a letter from doctor by the skin of my teeth so that Judge Gartner wouldnt dismiss my case due to me being unable to physically appear. We sat by the phone waiting to see if he was going to postpone or dismiss. Surprisingly he approved my case without even speaking or seeing me. I was floored and excited!! My lawyer and I were amazed because I was told that something like this was rare and highly unlikely. I want to thank him for looking and observerving the evidence and realizing that I am in a position of health decline. I am honored to to be the first person from what I see to write a honorable report on Judge Gartner. This will be a huge burden taken off of my family and myself. I now can pay for my own medications and can pay out my tab at a few of my health appointment locations. I've read only a few reviews and I must say I believe I was assigned to the most favorable guy in the building!! Thank you Judge Gartner for everything and it would have been my honor and a pleasure if I was able to meet you in person.

I had a hearing with him in october of 2010, my doctor has had me fully disabled since january of 2007 and I still lost my decision. I'm now on disablity 2 years later. I presented the same case and won. he lied about everything he wrote, the guy must not have a heart to give me a unfavorable decision. because of me losing my case in 2010 I lost my pension that I was going to recieve. I wish there is a way to get him to read this and let him know how he ruined my life. I wish you would man up and admit you made a big mistake so I could get my onset date change so I could recieve my full pension

Judge: Lawrence J Neary
9/8/2014 3:07:15 PM

This man lied. That is all I will go into here. Applied due to Chronic Pain due to back issues, and Depression, General Anxiety, Social Anxiety, and Panic Attacks. He says specifically in his findings/judgement that I seemed to be comfortable at the hearing and DID NOT change positions. I asked, audibly in the hearing if I could adjust the mic so that I could stand at points in time as I can sit for more than 5 minutes at a time. That should have been recorded? My nephew (24 yr old vet) was there too, I stood SEVERAL times during the hearing. I was visibly shaken, sweating (I left the place with a wet shirt, essentially.) and I hurt extremely due to how long it took--even though I DID change positions AND stood/alternated. How is he allowed to lie? I mean, an OPINION on a finding is one thing. This man specifically said something that several people & mic recordings CONTRADICT.

I have been a non-attorney Representative since the early 80's; Judge Hauser is a rarity in that he KNOWS the medical record of the Claimant. He prefers discussing each exhibit for medical substantiation of symptoms; such a pleasure to present a case to for deserving client to an ALJ that listens and understands the Representative's theory of the case.Great Judge!trying to give him five stars but does not seem to stay..but he is a fiver!!! If your Representative does not like him it is because when an attorney or representative does not know your case, it will be obvious!

Having medical professionals declare me perm disabled and in writing from them, she evidently has no compassion for truly disabled, I have now lost everything in my life , i have no home no vehicle, No income, I worked my whole life never took anything from anyone. I feel I was discriminated against by being a white male. Maybe if I was fat and lazy I would have been approved.

Judge: John B Langland
10/7/2013 10:39:29 PM

My hearing appointment took about 9 months. Judge Langland understood my situation and acknowledged that I had tried to resolve the overpayment thru the Wichita office and I then had to move on to see him to resolve the problem. I had tried and tried to resolve the issue thru the Wichita office but no one listened. The Judge recalculated my account and I had a partial favorable decision. Sadly, the powers now are not complying to his order or decision, and the Missouri office has written me 3 times in a month. Each letter indicates there is more than one person on my case, and so far out of the loop. But, no one signs the letters, so I do not have a name to complain. One letter states my W.C. does not affect my S.S. I have not been on W.C. since 2007. Judge Langland seemed fair in my case, the bad part is someone is not following or enforcing his decision. I do not know what to do now, trying to go back to see the judge. It is bad when the Judge makes a decision, and then the decision is not honored by the SSA staff in the Missouri office. I feel totally harassed by the staff in the office.

Judge Langland looked at what he wanted to see not at the evidence as a whole. Sure I made statements from time to time that I was doing ok. But those times are short lived. He gave more weight to a Psychologist who Ive never met than Dr.s who have treated me for 10+ years. He held it against me that I took my last dime to try and open and run a shop but failed to realize I left the shop because I couldn't handle the stress and **** near had a nervous breakdown over it. He commented that I had no periods of de-compensation which is a blatant falsehood. Anyone who knows me can tell you Ive been unemployed a lot more than employed. I have service related PTSD and Major reoccurring bouts of depression. My whole life is a total wreck. I want nothing more than to work and be normal but I fail at every attempt. I just want to run and hide away in dark places alone. I have stress disorder which makes my brain trigger fight or flight responses. I beg to be normal but Im not and ive faced that reality. Yes people do make positive statements to their Psychiatrists not because we are magically healed but because we have good days and bad. I try and try and want people to see me as ok but in the end Im not ok. My life has been one disaster after another. I hope he can sleep at night knowing he didn't even listen to his own vocational expert. Thanks Mr. Langland for seeing what you wanted to see not the whole story. Ill be filing an appeal immediately.

3/14/2013 5:46:08 PM

Unlike the comment above, Judge Hauser does NOT respect the Law, nor the Process! Judge William H. Hauser fabricated evidence, ignores the majority of the evidences submitted, made numerous mistakes, and was definitely NOT compassionate. He counted WATCHING TV against me, as activities that disproved my pain! I attempted to work but failed because of my disabilities. I worked only 40 hours in 3 months, and he stated this attempt disproved my pain! One of the greatest mistakes he made was this: He stated that I couldn't work my previous work, such as a Customer Service Job where I answered phones all day. Then he stated that I could work a job where I call out on phones all day. Wait, I cannot work a job where I answer phones all day, but I can work a job where I call out on phones all day? Do you think that's reasonable? When they say "fair," it's misleading. The only reason why they say that is because he will approve about 60% of his cases. They do not state what types of claims he approved. For example, if he denies 90% of his cases when the person is truly disabled, unable to work, and has more than enough evidence then that's not fair. For the record, they have a list of disabling conditions, known as the Social Security Administration's "Blue Book." If you have a condition that meets, or is equivalent to, the criteria in the SSA's "Blue Book," then they consider you disabled. The SSA's criteria is less severe than my condition, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome - The Hypermobility Type, and I was denied. My condition is easily 10-15 times more severe than what they have listed in their "Blue Book." Sadly, that is an under-estimation.

He knows the law! He goes through very detailed questions with the Claimant and tries to make sure they understand everything. He's also good about questioning the vocational experts on their sources of information. His decisions clearly explain what he used to come to that decision, and he explains how much a claimant would really be expected to work. Claimants might not necessarily think he's a sweet, kind, and caring person, but they can be assured that he really considers the evidence and is trying to come to the right decision.
