Judge Bower heard my case in 2009. I had a terrible lawyer that I had never met. When he found out she was the judge he told me I already lost my case. I was terrified. Yes she asked tough questions. She was intimidating. She was also thorough, let me tell my story, listened carefully and reviewed everything with caution. She continued my case to send me to her doctors. My lawyer hadn’t seen her do this before. At the next meeting after listening to what her doctors had to say, she not only approved my case but went back to the day I could no longer work. She saved my life. Fast forward 10 years... my health is still declining but thanks to her I have had the time to get a lot of answers as to why and I am in a better place emotionally. I think of her frequently. She gets a bad rap and I understand people being upset for being denied. However she does her job thoroughly and looks at everything presented to her and in my case she looked beyond before making her decision. Any other Judge may have denied me because my lawyer was so incompetent. But she recognized that and essentially advocated a fair hearing for me before making a decision. I will always be grateful not just for the approval but for the heavy decisions she needs to make on a daily basis that are so important in people’s lives. Imagine the burden of having to decide people’s fate. I wouldn’t want that responsibility. So don’t fear Judge Bower, understand the pressure these Judges are under on a daily basis. Understand the responsibility that comes with their position and how difficult it is for them. Appreciate the ones that look deeper. I know being denied is terrifying, frustrating and exhausting but it’s not their fault that they have to weed through and figure out who truly needs the help and who is playing the system. There are so many. It’s those that don’t want to work that make things difficult. Also be grateful that we live in a country that affords us the opportunity to care for ourselves when we can’t work. For living in a country where we have support and medical care at our fingertips. There are other countries that don’t have this option. Even had she denied my case, I would still have no choice but to respect her for how she did her job and tried to see me, not just my file. Definitely don’t be afraid of Judge Bower.

Maybe this judge will someday be held accountable for her aweful decisions once someone kills themselves. I dont know how she lays her head down at night and sleeps...

Over 72% denials, my lawyer dropped my strong case after finding out we got Bowers. ANY of the others are better than this woman, There is a special place in hell for you! The other judges have a more reasonable demeanor and approval percentage. Unless your terminal she wont approve. You should be removed from the job due to extreme bias! Unreal this corrupt state is.

Miss bower should be ashamed of herself she's a disgrace to the law. I won't even call her a judge. She's a person who interrogates applicant's in the court room. The court also has a doctor who looks for every way NOT to approve you. Then there's a vocational person who just a troll. Here's the million dollar question to all of you. With all the issue I have, the surgeries, pain meds, (you're not supposed even drive when take pain meds) I haven't stopped seeing doctors the whole time I've been waiting for your denial. Im still going to doctors- knowing everything there is to know. If you owned a business that you, the court doctor, and troll said I qualified for would you take a chance and hire me? NO!!! You wouldn't.
