The disability rules, law, I should of got my disability, but this judge denied me my disability. I am a very sick person, there is days I can barely walk, I honestly don't know if I am going to make it some days.. I have so much pain , so forgetful, the social security doctor said I was disable to work, because of my disease. She mention of me being obesity, and lack of education. It never stopped me working before. I have worked ever since I was 12 years old, worked hard for over 40 years. I have worked for everything I have, and now I am not able to work and about to lose everything I have ever worked for, because I am not able to work, and this Judge made this unfair and inhumane decision, on behalf I felt she is a prejudge Person. It is such a shame that a judge can make this kind of decision, because they don't like a person. What has our country become to. So sad that's it's become that such cases are treated like this. God be with us all.

I thought judge reap seemed to be a very caring person . My hearing was in on 11/21 & 18 days later ( Today in fact ) I recieved a letter about medical terminology. I was very impressed at how quick the judge has responded to my case . I was told disability judges drag cases out & would be months sometimes years to get aproval or denial letter. But I don't think that will be the case with judge Reap being since he has responded on my case already in just a bit over 2 weeks after my hearing . Whether I get get approved or denied I assume judge reap will do so in a timely manner. ❤

This so called judge is a disgrace to human beings. My daughter just went through with this sob and his so called report was nothing but lies and false statements. This was my daughters 2 times being denied her disability. I have been supporting her since 2000. She can not work I wonder how many people have committed suicide because of his lies and false report. I wonder how many people he has killed with ssi's help by letting him do this type of review of peoples health when he is not a doctor and knows nothing about peoples disabilities. I know what I am saying about this sob because i was in the hearing with her. I was a administrative police sergeant for years and I have never dealt with this type people with his so called status as a judge and being inhuman. I blame social security for having incompetent people deciding by themselves without regulation with or panel of doctors whether a person is disabled are not. This so called judge is a disgrace to united states law. Social security an the way they do american citizens is a joke. Illegal aliens can come across the border never paying in social security gets social security and $500 to $600 per kid they have and no control how many kids they can have at taxpayer expense. I have paid into social security for fifty years an my daughter is an american citizen and can get nothing. As far as I am concerned he is not a qualified person to do peoples disabilities it should be done by a panel of doctors.

Brilliant attorney, and an even more brilliant human being. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work under her for a period of time. She was practicing in Bowling Green, KY during that time at Breen & Morgan, a small but successful law firm where I primarily served and assumed the responsibilities of the "Runner", assuring that priority documentation was filed at the local Warren County Courthouse before the scheduled deadlines, ensuring there would be no problems or unforeseen obstacles once litigation was scheduled to begin. I was also given the chance to embark on a "case file transfer" project, whereby my singular goal was to transfer any and all cases heard by the firm within the previous 25 years (which had previously been kept on paper) into a streamlined, user-friendly, case organization program on the computer.. what a great experience. Rarely does a young PreLaw undergraduate student get to place his hands on such material, but Kerry trusted me to handle it, and because of that, I was exposed to more material in one summer than most law students before entering their 3rd year of law school! I've missed her greatly since she called all of us to her office and broke the "good news" that she was moving to Atlanta!!... bitter sweet.. so many tears. Hope all is well with you and the family, Kerry. Thanks for everything!

I went in front of Judge Shimer on 4/19. He was a very nice and courteous man. He asked me some questions about previous work history. He did ask about the onset date bc I have one date and my attorney changed it. He could also tell that I had been crying. It was hard for me to answer some of the questions he asked but he took his time and was very patient. My records show that I am getting progressively worse over the last 6 years that I've been waiting for an answer. He also said he would have his decision in 60 days, my 60 days is up on Monday. Please pray that everything works as God is willing

Judge Lefebvre made me feel at ease, because honestly I was a nervous wreck. An incident in the waiting area prior to the hearing left me a little shaken and embarrassed and was part of one of my conditions, so when my lawyer asked about this problem I broke down in the hearing. I was also embarrassed that when I had to stand up to readjust during the questioning, my hip popped quite loudly but the judges demeanor did not show disdain. I have not received the outcome of my case yet. Either way it goes, I hold no feelings either way towards the judge as a person. She has a job to do like everyone else in the system. I am just grateful I finally got my chance to tell my story, and was well enough to stand(and sit) before her to do so.

How can Mr. Suttles be an ALJ SSA judge-requires current state bar number (Texas) Mr. Suttles updated his in 2017 this year. How did he get by 5 CFR investigations requirements. All of his cases need to be over turned due to judicial conflicts. ( congress needs to do their job) He is not qualified for anything dealing with law. Worst judge ever.

Judge Suttles is allowed to do what he wants. Under current law (joke) the Congress writes statues , Now the first problem the Agency writes the CFR ( by non-elected personnel) working for the Secretary of the Agency by the Agency, to promote and protect the Agency. Now the second problem the Agency writes the Regulations again ( by non-elected personnel) working for the Secretary of the Agency by the Agency, to promote and protect . None reviewed by the Judiciary Committee as required. At present we have 3 stories high Federal Regulations if stacked. 81,036 pages added in 2015. In 2014 per government records there were 175,268 at 212 volumes printed. All you can do is start researching regulations for rebuttal of any changes of files by SSA at Field Office. Everything is re-written by non-elected , poorly trained employees to violate the rights of all US citizens. Right to Jury Trials. All designed since APA was written to circumvent the constitution.

The only thing a person can do is do a rebuttal on any additions to your case file or change offices. ( called Washington and they suggested a different office -they know the issues) Constant review is required when dealing with SSA. Remember SSA will always ASSUME anything against claimant ( the worst ) Suttles will deny admissions of evidence. Hopefully they give you SSI ( back pay to disability date) plus Medicaid ( Cigna Plus coverage) All I can advise is to check and review case files constantly and check SSA rules (POMS) they are different than what they assume. Get the right form SSA they will not give you any assistance. Required on Internet for public. Do the same ASSUME SSA is lying about everything. You can win!!!

Unbiased judging? Not even close! By LAW the ALJs are required to be unbiased. The law does not apply to Gary Suttles as has been proven time and again. When I caught him giggling at my hearing I had to look this man up. No wonder he breaks the law - he hasn't even completed his training requirements! The man refuses to watch a 17 minute video regarding equal rights for gays, lesbians, transsexuals, and bisexuals for fear of offending his religious rights. Yes, read that again. He is SUING his employer rather than take 17 minutes to meet mandatory minimum training requirements. Does that really sound too stupid to believe? Look it up! Just type Gary J Suttles and the term LGBT in your search tool and prepare to see your page fill with facts. I hope you have some reading time. Never mind his newsworthiness regarding Mr. McMurray above, he's popular as well. (Thank You for your service, Shawn.) And that's just the evidence that made the news so we'll never know what other training he's lacking in. Did this lack of training effect your case? It did mine! He picked and chose only the evidence in my Doctors' and Neurologists' records to support his agenda, and when there weren't enough facts to support his agenda, he simply made numbers up based on nothing presented to him in my records without acknowledging one single fact out of pages of documents to support my crippling disease. He made claims my daily life was "normal" with "no issues" although every claim he referenced to come up with this conclusion was taken out of context. Every incident he cited required assistance which he managed to leave those details out. Sorry to say it folks, but the system I paid into non-stop for 30 years and many of you even longer is broken. How do the judges get away with this? Simple! The "system" made them untouchable. If the judge can't be held accountable, he/she is supposed to have the freedom to judge without bias. Look it up. It sounds like a good plan, but let the record speak for itself. As I type this 84% of the people sitting through his hearings are "Liars". Many folks want a free ride and I get it. I wasn't lying with paperwork to prove it. Were you?

Is Judge Gary J Suttles an attorney 5 USC require ALJ's have Bar Number Is he even eligible to be a so called Judge? Please check on this settlement On January II, 2013, after lengthy negotiations between the Social Security Administra tion ("SSA"), the Department of Justice, and class counsel for plaintiffs, Gibson Dunn & Crutch- er LLP ("Gibson Dunn") and the Urban Justice Center, the parties reached a proposed settlement agreement. The settlement expressly denies wrongdoing on the part of defendant Commissioner. Under the terms of the settlement, a class member whose claim for disability benefits was denied or partially denied during the period from January I, 2008 through the date on which the settlement agreement is approved is entitled to a readjudication of his or her claim before an ALJ other than a Named ALJ, with certain exceptions. (See Settlement Agreement, D.E. # 112-1, at 2 III.A.l-2.) The class member must affirmatively request readjudication within sixty days after receiving notice of his or her right to the relief. (See id.; Notice A, D.E. # 112-2.)

My son has been denied for 7 years and 23 SSA doctors confirming disability. Still denied. Crushed leg , spinal problems, and two strokes. This Judge made almost the same statement " He would see him dead before he releases any funds, or wait until his credits run out (??) This so-called judge loves to belittle people that come before him. Recently my wife had a disability hearing and about all he did was being up her previous marriage and children. You tell me what any of that has to do with getting disability? The rep my wife had also told her that he did the same thing to the very next client she was representing. Seems that the ONLY reason he is still ok the bench is his record of not approving anyone that comes in his court room.

In the last three years I've appeared before Judge Roberts about seven or eight times (maybe more, memory fails). What I've learned is, to do well in her courtroom, the representative should: 1. submit a prehearing brief, and 2. be prepared to argue the case before her, citing exhibits and applicable rulings or listings. The times she's been irritated or exasperated, she took it out on me, not my claimants, which is exactly what I'd want. I'm always happy to appear before her.

Judge: Brian Lucas

Judge Lucas denied my husbands case. After reading the decision letter I found numerous discrepancies. The judge has his education level incorrect, stated that my husband claims were different in court vs what was previously stated on record. The problem with this is my husband answered questions with specific answers. These answers were taken completely out of context. I believe if the judge had asked the questions in a different format he would have received different answers. The judge stated the doctors released my husband advising they found all treatments were successful. What the judge didn't see was that the doctors dismissed my husbands complaints about continuing pain saying their "work" was good. Their work was good but did not relieve his pain. Maybe if the judge's questions weren't so vauge and if the answers had been taken in the correct context the outcome would have been very different.

I find Judge Roberts to be one of the most hard working judges I have appeared in front of, she is knowledgeable about disability and the claim that is before her, very straight forward and to the point, you just can't ask for more than that from an ALJ.

Judge: Linda Gail Roberts
8/17/2015 6:01:16 PM

Judge Roberts issues more awards, on average, than other ALJs in this area, so it's probably worth putting up with her quirky behavior. She is generally courteous to Claimants but is frequently insulting and rude to representatives.

Judge: Scott C Shimer
8/17/2015 5:26:33 PM

Judge Shimer is courteous and prepared. If he has concerns about an issue, such as an alleged onset date of disability or about some evidence in the record, he raises his concerns during the hearing to give Claimants an opportunity to explain and to give representatives an opportunity to address his concerns. Unlike other ALJs, he doesn't sandbag. I may not agree with all his decisions, but I have not found him to respectful, which is not typical.

He was also thorough with the VE, and was sure to gain her agreement that I would not be able to gain or keep a job. I did cry a lot. And he told me to get it together. It wasnt mean though. When I know five different people who get ssi that are convicted felons , drug users makers and destroyers of their families and hard working honest people are turned down well WE HAVE a PROBLEM! This is a very through Judge and one that will not beat around the bush. He will know the answer to the question before you answer, so you had better be honest. I think he is very well studied and a great reader of people. I think he has heard it all and probably seen it all too. I do not know the decision of my case yet but I will go ahead and say I am not sure there is a better Judge, if you want a fair shot. I think it is going to boil down to 2 or 3 things with this Judge, truth, credibility and evidence. Not necessarily in that order. You had better not lie because he will know. You had better be credible because you will be tested. Also, you had better have lots of evidence because he will not just give you a favorable decision without it.

Judge: John R Daughtry

He is very professional respectful and very detailed. He will read every word of every file you submitted. Make sure you are prepared to answer every possible question because by the time he gets finished asking questions your lawyer will not have any to ask. Make sure your answers are consient with your records because he will call you on it if your answers do not match. IT IS OBVIOUS HE READS YOUR ENTIRE FILE BEFORE YOUR HEARING. KNOW YOUR ANSWERS BEFORE YOU GET THERE. He is a good ALJ in my opinion.

I thought my hearing went well. I was told by social security office this judge found my case unfavorible. I am suffering from PTSD from an attack that also caused severe back and neck injuries. I do not understand how judge came to that conclusion. I also have suffered from agoraphobia for the pays few years. During my hearing VE said there were no jobs I can perform. I am very upset that this judge acted so compassionate then found my case unfavorable. I do plan on filing an appeal or reapplying. Just because this judge acts if he cares it is all an act. I hope the longer he deals with disability hearings he realizes how he is affecting people who are really disabled. There are so many people getting disabiliy that does not deserve it. I think I would've rather had a judge that would've been a total ***** and pretty much let me know how she felt in court than to have a total surprise like we did!

Judge: Elizabeth P Neuhoff

This judge treated me very respectfully and helped me to understand how my hearing would operate. I felt like I was listened to and understood. I may not win my appeal but I do feel like this judge understood what I was going through. I do not agree with the earlier comments about this judge. Those comments must have been made by someone who is not very nice and does not understand the process.

Judge: Troy M Patterson

Rude and disrespectful, claims that disabled people who have physicians who back their claim are stupid and dimwhitted. Also, says that they are easily manuiplated into believing someone can't find work regurdless of their level of disabilty.

Judge: Marty S Turner

Nice lady. A lot younger than what i expected, but she was really nice and pretty. My attorney told me she used to represent claimants. . She got to the point and didn't beat around bush so I liked that about her.

Judge: Linda Gail Roberts

Roberts is unbelievably lazy. It's clear that she doesn't read the files before the hearings.

Judge: Ronald E Miller
9/17/2012 6:06:05 AM

Apparently he had reviewed my file thoroughly and seemed to have an understanding of my disability and the impact it has had on my life. He was very professional yet empathetic. So I guess we'll see what happens.

Judge: J. D Reap
9/14/2012 10:04:40 AM

He has not made a decision on my case yet...but I would say he was respectful. He seemed to care about how I was able to take care of my daughter..which I think is a good question. He was hard to read. Said it would be eight more weeks of waiting...;( As we all know eight weeks can be life changing...but what other option do I have?

Judge: Michelle Thompson
8/23/2012 5:03:21 PM

I dont think she took in to consideration what I have to go through everyday dealing with children that have ADHD and ODD have twins one approved other one keep being denied I wish she could walk in my shoes and see how it feels to get calls from school because your child cant stay in her seat or that the child is being suspended for fighting hope she one day look at the whole picture and not just her question she asked us

Judge: Michelle Thompson
8/23/2012 4:57:14 PM

I don't understand her decision I have twins one approved other denied several times never went to court one other twin but the oldest getting denied they both have the same medical history and they take med everyday which is five to be exact and hopefully when I appeal I will have some type of representation because why do one get approved and the other one keeps getting denied keep in mind they are only three mintues apart bug the oldest twin keep getting denied ever chance I apply

If you are under age 50, it is extremely difficult to be awarded your benefits.

YES SHE IS A *****

Judge: Donald E Garrison
8/16/2012 9:04:39 AM

I don't like him. Must have been having a Bad Day the day I went before him. I've waited so long and for what a BIG NO? Its not fair, who are they? Hate it if you get him as a judge.

Judge: John R Daughtry
8/11/2012 5:28:00 PM

This judge is not accurate, fair or even "objective." He's made several determinations in our case that are NOT the privilege nor RIGHT of an ALJ. He is NOT a doctor, nor can he say which Doctors have credibility or not. The bottom line is that this person WILL review your case FULLY before you set foot in the hearing room. He will disect your case after and pick apart, based on what we saw, from his own feelings/perceptions/opinions...none of which were truly and legally binding. In other words, John Daughtry treated me like I was a lying, manipulative faker. I hate to put it in the kinds of words, but if you get this judge, I would recommend having all of your doctors come to your hearings so he can tell THEM to their faces that their medical recommendations and diagnosis are "extremely pessimistic" like he said about all 7 of our doctors. He based his whole decision concurring with the SOCIAL SECURITY HIRED DOCTOR who spent all of 15 minutes examining me vs. my doctors who have examined me countless times over the last 7 years.

Judge: Linda Gail Roberts

She's a *****

Judge: Michelle Thompson
6/7/2012 4:49:36 PM

Hottest looking ALJ I've seen. Very cute french sounding accent and a nice demeanor as well.

Judge: Linda Gail Roberts
5/2/2012 9:56:44 AM

Don't call her "mam"...she'll get angry.

Judge: Gary J Suttles
3/5/2012 3:22:56 PM

Judge Suttles denies everybody and I heard the he denied a lady the had cancer and a few months later she died. This is not right and I think that someone need to investigate him. I know there are rules and guidelines to follow, but if a person is disable why would you do that to them. He is using his authority to his advantage. He need to start denying some of these people for SSI that have not put money into the system instead of the ones that have put their money in the system.
