I had a very good session with Judge Benagh, however the processing afterwards is crazy...she awarded in my favor so we exit and wait...mind you she made a bench award (that's what my attorney and myself thought)...now on the 65th day it's a wait and see...

I am Judge Benagh. I would be fascinated to know how any claimant or representative would know beans about my personal life. I would suggest an agency post. To all others, thank you.

Judge Benagh is an excellent Judge. She reads the record before the hearing so she is prepared, does not waste anyone's time and hones in on what truly is at issue. She also has compassion for the claimants before her. By this, I don't mean that she doles out unwarranted benefits, but what she does do is treat the claimants with respect and dignity. This is important because many claimants are homeless or live in shelters and are shunned or ignored by most people they come into contact with. When claimants appear before Judge Benagh, they have an opportunity to meet with someone who will listen to what they have to say, take them seriously and empathize with their situation. Even if they don't win, they come away feeling better about themselves and about the adminstrative process. This is the way a judge dealing with hardship benefits should act in carrying out her/his duties.
